  1. I got this headset and it works fine on my PC with fs9, Skype, etc. However, when I try and use it on my Mac, the microphone doesn't work. I have 2 other headsets and they work just fine on both my Mac and my PC. I also tried the Audio FX headset on a friend's Mac, and it wouldn't work either. I contacted eDimensional and they were of no help. They said they had no Mac to test it on and knew no one who owned a Mac.So, I was wondering if there's anyone out there who has an Audio FX Headset and also has a Mac. If so, I would appreciate knowing if you can get the microphone to work on the Mac. If it works, then there's probably something wrong with my particular headset. If …

Hi I have a new issue, it has been ongoing , and happens at least every 10 startups.I have sb creative audigy z2 card and sometimes when i start my computer I get a error that svchosts has failed , Then the sound card stops working . Then you need to reload the driver and all of the sound blaster program. It requires a retart . The sound card will work again after a reload on the software and restart of the computer, but most of the time I have to do a system restore.XP does not give me any clues in the event manager other than "load pref" and error on "svc". I have tried to move the card in the computer and change slots. That did not work either?Any ideas? It's a strange…

HiThanks to some exellent info gathered from some very useful threads, i've selected intel's e6600 c2d cpu for my upgrade. However, which mobo to select is proving difficult !!! I think i've narrowed it down to three:-MSI's 965 Neo-FAsus's P5BGigabytes GA-965P-S3They all seem very similar spec-wise but i was wondering if you guys could add any input (good or bad) about any of them ? Maybe even suggest alternatives.I appreciate that none of them support SLI - is this a wise decision ? gpu-wise, i was going to match them up to a BFG 7900GT OC.Any thoughts much appreciatedGary

Hello there.I wonder if anyone could help me please.I have a 5 year old system running Win ME, 256 RIMM RAM with a 30 gig HD, 17% of which is used. This will be replaced once Vista and FSX are fully up and running but for now will have to do. It runs FS2k2 well enough to enjoy. Here's the problem. I can't run an anti-virus scan (AVG free edition), Scan disk or a de-frag without the system crashing and re-booting. I can run Spybot to clear out any spyware without probs along with most other every day probs.Any idea how to fix this?If you do, please be so kind as to write in simple, non-computer expert language - I'd appreciate this very much as I don't get much further …

I recently upgraded my video card to a EVGA 7800 GS CO from an ATI card. In the FS9.CFG file this line appears:{DISPLAY.Device.RADEON 9200 SERIES .0} (In Brackets)Mode=1280x1024x16Since I've installed new drivers for the Nvidia card, does this line in the cfg cause any problems? There is nothing describing the Nvidia card in the cfg. Someone wrote somewhere in one of these forums that he reinstalled FS9 after changing video cards and that the results were much better due to the correct display device being inserted into the cfg. Is there a way to eliminate this entry without having FS9 rewrite the entire cfg? Or can I erase the line and will FS9 rewrite it using the cor…

  15. Hi I'm currently getting totally confused about which dual core cpu manufacturer i should base a future upgrade around !!!Obviously, the choice is AMD or Intel but which one is best suited to the needs of FS both present and future ? Reading several posts on this forum, i get the impression that Intel seem to be the manufacturer of choice - particularly their Core 2 Duo E6600 because of its 4mb cache. However, is a system based around, say, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ worth considering ?Your thoughts would be most appreciated Gary

Well one concern is if I do this and continue to buy add-on's later such as terrain mesh or move my Ground Enviroment Pro over to the other drive and make more ground terrain textures etc. Will it operate ok or should all of it be on on…

I was thinking about buying a new computer the moment FSX comes out. Now I'm wondering if I should wait till Vista comes out and directx 10. I believe I read somewhere in this forum that Microsoft will be releasing an update to FSX that will take advantage of Vista and directx 10. Will that mean a computer that will now run FSX at 20 fps consistently might bog down running FSX after the update that takes advantage of Vista and directx 10 is installed? In that case, I think it would be better to wait. Anyone?Ferris

I received an email from edimensional today, and this new controller looked interesting. It's the XBox type of controller that some of FSX's Beta testers use, and it has force feedback, rumble, and actually senses movement! There's a video on their site that actually shows FSX air races with the player using the device. Although I'm an avid joystick user, I did order one (money back guarantee), and I'm going to re-visit the forum thread that gave the setup to the Xbox device.Maybe, just maybe, I could get to enjoy a device like this....especially with that one man, kite-glider in the FSX demo. Could be a lot of fun. Check it out.https://edimensional.com/product_info.php?c…
