Help Using the AVSIM Forums

HiI think that on the little box that shows the reputation of a post (for example, red on -1 or green for +1) you should be able to click on it, then it would show a list of people who agreed or disagreed with the post. I think it would be cool.

Hi there, I have posted in several topics, certainly more than two I think, yet after each of my posts, while the post count increases under my displayed avatar in the post(s), the topic count always seems to remain at 2. Any thoughts regarding this? Thanks a bunch, Rusty Hmm, Immediately after making this post, I see that the Topics count increased by one. I think that I am beginning to see the light lol :Idea:.Is it the case, then, that the topic count refers only to the number of topics initiated and not to the number of total topics within which I have made a post? Hi,When I click at the bottom of the forum to see who the top posters of all time are, it takes me right back to forum.avsim.net.

Not sure whether this is an April fools joke or not, but all of the images on the forums are spinning around frantically when I hover over them? LOL!I keep laughing to myself at people's heads spinning like no tomorrow. Is this a bug or am I paranoid?Happy April Fools Day! (IF that's considered a holiday?)

Guys iv been using this forum for years, to try and log on to be told im no longer allowed to visit the forum. error #1001 (i think). My old name was Goair-18, iv never been obusive in the slightest. This happened after i posted something negative about flight (nothing harsh) just my opinion. Somebody reported the topic because they didnt like it so it reported the topic and it got deleted (what happened to free speech?). Is that how it is on here now someone reports a topic and it gets deleted, regardless of my views or anybody else who my agree with such posts.Im not trying to casue trouble, im just anoyed that a new member with only 3 posts can report my topic and then…

I don't know if this is a bit previous but I have this: at the top of my screen. Also the 'Mark forums read' button doesn't work.If this is known about and a WIP, then you ain't seen me, right?

TomWith the greatest of respect could you please address the access to the forums.I have been visiting your Forums for years and have not experienced before the problems as now are occurring.I have deleted cookies, used IE and Firefox(default) but problem happens still and has intermitently for approx 2 weeks.When I attempt to enter main forum page I am directed to http://forum.avsim.net/.and from there can only access main forum pageby selecting Community -dropdown box - and selecting Avsim forums most of the time. hello everybody, i recently installed fsbuild, im using windows 7, the program runs just fine, i dont receive any type of warning or something regarding the administrator issues that I have previously read on this forums, BUT the nav data doesnt update, I installed the most recent AIRAC, which is the 1203, but nothing happens, I dont know what to do, please someone help me, i would really appreciate your help. I have the 2.3.7.2 version of FSBUILD, like I told u, the program runs fine BUT doesnt update. Thanks!!!!!!!

I usually come to the forum and click "View new content" at the top-right, but with the popularity of the Flight forum, all this results in is a multitude of topics that I don't want to read, so I have to filter through them. I'm by no means being another complainer regarding the Flight forum, I think Flight has its merits but it's just not for me. I'm simply looking for a way to un-link that sub-forum when I click "View new content," so please don't make this into a "I hate Flight" thread, I'm bored to death of those...Thanks for any and all help.

All of a sudden today I'm getting intermittently the forum like if I click on the bread crumb " The AVSIM Forums → Help & Frequently Asked Questions → Help Using the AVSIM Forums". I don't get the body or content, just the header. Also, I'm not getting the main content or body, just the header when entering forums from avsim.com. O, maybe it's Chrome, I just tried FF and it seems ok.

We have introduced a new function for use when quoting from another's message. It is called "SELECTIVE QUOTING" and it is a function that you will find at the bottom of every poster's message. If you wish to reply to that message with a quote, simply highlight the sentence or paragraph you wish to quote and then click on the SELECTIVE QUOTE link. Here is an example.

This one is a little odd, and one I have not seen before.Kind of hard to describe - I typically will leave my IE9 window with Avsim open while I am at the computer.To check for new content, I will often just hit the refresh on IE. Just yesterday, it started basically reformatting how it was displayed, ie the text showing the forum topics, will move to the center of the sreen and appears to get a little smaller.
