For three days the search function isn't working. Enter a key word and zero hits. Example: "Boeing" - no matches. So yeah something isn't working.

There has been many abuses of the AVSIM Contact System by Guests visiting AVSIM. Guests are using it to spam AVSIM with malware and spam advertising. Some are using it to send "nasty-grams" to the staff with threats of violence or death and hide their name, AVSIM username, and e-mail address (a sign of cowardice). This makes it difficult to turn these threats over to law enforcement agencies. They also are using it for requesting support for commercial products even though the form clearly states AVSIM does not provide support for any commercial or freeware products. In some of the AVSIM forums it is required to add a Prefix to your Topic. Creating a Prefix is done by selecting one of the previously created Tags to become a Prefix. NOTE: Only after you create a Tag, new option to select a Prefix will appear below. So basically, this is done in two simple steps: Create a Tag, then select it for a Prefix. Is it just me or is there a problem with this site and Google Chrome? I have the latest version installed but can't access any topics using Chrome but no issues with Microsoft Edge. This has only happened in the last few days and every time I try to access a topic I get an Error saying: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. All of the other websites and forums I use on Chrome seem to be fine.

I've been trying to use a screenshot from a flight sim I took as a profile picture, but I am unable to make it small enough to meet the 245 kb maximum size limit. That is a ridiculously small file size that makes it impossible to use any FS screenshot as a profile picture. I've tried cropping the image, resizing the image and converting the image to jpg but the file size is still too large. The smallest I can get it is 320 kb and I have no idea how to decrease the file size any further without destroying the image quality.

Hello! New around here. Looking for that "Contact Form for Help with the AVSIM Forums" and i kinda lost... Is this should be the place for it? Also the description of the thread says that i can't post there until 15 comments or until an admin allows it but i can't see almost nothing there too [2 topics from the admins and a singular sale post]. Why do we bother having Hardware Forums when you can now post anywhere. It would save time and money to reduce the number of forums.

Does the AVSIM webpages have a "dark mode" option?

I know that people can reply to a specific post in a thread, and that post will show up at the beginning of their new post. This makes it clear that the post is in direct reply, even if several others posts have been made since. How is that done? I don't know the steps to have the post I want to reply to show up at the beginning of my post. Thanks.

So having a weird issue where I can post from Microsoft Edge but my usual browser suddenly can't post, reply or compose a message. The body field is missing. It has the Title field and Upload Attachments field but no body to type the content of the message. Nothing changed on my side, in fact it's the same browser window I have been using the whole time.
