Help Using the AVSIM Forums

I Can from my IPhone. Not sure why. This just started Friday. Login from pc and read post but not reply to. Login on IPhone and all ok.

The Ignore function isnt working for me, I have put some entries in my ignore list and they show as present on the list if I look back but I still see the listed users posts. Is there something else I need to do or is it broken?

I capture an image using Lightshot, upload it and get the URL. But when I click on Insert Image from URL and paste in the URL provided by LIghtshot, the box just turns pink and nothing else happens. 😞 Thanks, Al

Hi All. Please could anyone help as I'm struggling to undrestand this one. I create a new topic and click the Insert image from URL. Add the https URL copied from my Google Drive, but everytime the URL field turns red with no error indication of what the issue is. Any ideas please? Thanks

Hi all, Quick question: sometimes, when reading a topic in which some replies are quoting another reply from another member, I see this quoted message displayed in a foreign language, even though the original message was written in English. Last time, the quote was in Spanish, for example. Is this linked to any setting of the forum ?

Since quite a long time already, I think since the forum update Notifications always come back once. Example: 1. I am reading a topic and see a notification. 2. I go to the bell icon, click on it and go to the post I received the notification for. 3. The notification is gone. 4. I read the topic and go back to the main index: the exact same notification appears again. So I ALWAYS have to click twice on the bell icon on two different screens before the notification disappears completely. I have this on my PC, on a Mac and on my smartphone so it seems a forum software bug?

See attached image. I've had this warning popup several times over the last week when browsing the forums. Never had it with my iPad using Safari. Anyone else seeing it? Could be a false positive.

Hi, In the last 2-3 days I have noticed that apart from the top article about the changed Avsim login on the home page, there's no other content showing below it. I tried 2 different browsers and cleared my cache and I see the same thing- lots of white space. Have the previous articles been removed or is there something wrong with my web browser? Thx Mark

Hello: For some reason the account I have used for years no longer works. (i.e.- I can't log in) My username was "lehbird". I have sent a couple e-mails to support, but have not received a response. Hoping since with this "new account" and an administrator needs to approve this message they will see this and be able to give me some guidance. Thank you, Dave

The new login method now requires the email used when the account was created. I've been a member here for 20 years, and I can't remember which email I used to create the original account. Is there a way to retrieve this info? Thanks! (I created this new account to be able to post this)

It worked for awhile after the server came back online, but has been inop since last night Tuesday June 11th

I'm trying to log to Avsim forums from my phone. However, after entering my email and password, I get this error message: "Your account has been locked. Try again in 14 minutes" This is no matter how long has passed since my last attempt, if 14 minutes or more. Even clearing my whole Google Chrome history and cookies does not help at all. How to fix this?

Hello all. Hopefully I am in the right spot. When I power up the Fenix, Power and Batteries, the screens do not work. Nothing comes up, MFD's radio stacks, nothing. I have the v2.2.0.334 version.

The font on this site changed recently, at least for me. It now appears like what a old manual typewriter would produce with very dirty keys and an old ribbon with little ink left on it. Can I change the font on what I read? I know how to change the font on what I type and it still looks good but what I read is horrible.

The format looks different and I cannot access RSS anymore. Will it be coming back?

I've had a problem logging in for the past two days or so. I enter my log on name and my password, but they're not accepted by AVSIM. Instead, I get an e-mail from AVSIM stating that my account has been locked because 3 failed logins have been detected. It doesn't seem to matter which browser I use, by the way. The only thing that I can do to log on is to change my password. The problem is that if I try to log on again, I'll get the same error and then have to go through changing my password yet again. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there anything I can do from my end?
