recently installed REX and trying to use it with active sky evolution. the textures look great up close, but now i am having the issue below. i was advised to tweak my fs9.cfg file, but i dont know which setting, how much, or even if thats the problem. any help is appreciated...btw using fs9 and window 7.

Hi i'm currnently using REX. However i was just casually flying along in my level d 767 at FL390 at steady mach 0.783 when BANG! Over speed warning comes on and i'm doing mach 0.879 in the blink of an eye. This always bloody happens with rex and i'm getting fed up of it because i loose lot's of points on fspax for overspeeding the a/c. Can anyone reccomend a good weather generator which smoothens weather change? Cheers Tom

Today, August 21st, a library download appeared for an FS9.1 update from Microsoft. What is this? Is it different from the earlier update, or is it the same thing? My understanding is that the original update was done mostly to fix some bridges. I've installed that, but I still have a number of misplaced bridges. Also, I use a version of the main fs9.exe which does not force me to insert a disk to run the program. Does anyone have any info on how that will work?

hi, I am looking for a program with i had on my old computer but cant remember the name of! Its a program which let me adjust the parameters that ai aircraft perform in the fs. You could change settings to avoid the AL aircraft flying in the way and landing whilst your on finals. Can anyone name the program for me? Cheers

This definately is going to be interesting. Already with a double engine failure you certainly could do without the "extra" problem!

Hi all, Ive been a long time Radar Contact user, however there are somethings I dont like about RC compared to the default FS9 ATC. Anyhow back to my question, is there a way to get the default ATC to say line up and wait instead of position and hold for USA FAA rules without having all the other changes that are there on other parts of the world? I know how to add callsigns in edit voice pack, but just changing 1 phraseology is new to me. Thanks Plus if there are any most have free downloads for the default ATC let me know, ive been out of the loop on the stock system.

Hi, Ever since I purchased my new computer, I'm having problems with the keyboard assignments in FS9. But it seems to give me the problem only when I fly an addon, like PMDG. For example, when I fly the PMDG 747-400 and I press the keys Control+Shift+G to engage the auto-throttles or TO/GA, nothing happens. Even when I use the PMDG assignments such as the L1 door, it sometimes does not work. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Ken.

Once again I will ask to see if anyone has an crosswind afcad for KSFO that allows for traffic to be directed to runway 1L for takeoff whos gates are closer to that runway and other traffic is directed to 28L for takeoff. Meanwhile traffic is directed to land on 28L and 28R. I understand occasionally that traffic will land on 1L and 1R. This afcad was made possible for FlyTampa SFO but has no one been able to do it for Flightbeam SFO?

Is anyone aware of a good commerical scenery for KORD for FS9? I see that FlyTampa offers a KMDW scenery, but I hardly ever fly in or out of there. And although the stock KORD is reasonably detailed, it does have some limitations/quirks so I'd like to replace it with something professionally designed.

Hi I installed MCS and i click on the desktop icon for MCS and it says start flight simulator. I click it and it gets stuck starting up. I removed FSInsider.DLL from the modules folder and it started up normally (FS9). I click on MCS again and it says cannot find fsinsider.dll i put it back and it gets stuck starting up i have to go to the task manager to end FS9. I turned off user account control and restarted my computer but still does the same thing. I am running Windows Vista 32 bit Thanks in advance!

I've been reading posts everywhere about the future of flight simulation' and who will take the lead in developing the next sim. Seems like Laminar Research is the only player left in town. But if you look at the real world of aviation, it's not like there's a new product every week\month\ year. New planes take maybe 5-10 years to develop. Same with avionic systems. I think that there's not a whole lot more to develop in flight simulation. You can't change the laws of physics that govern flying. If you look at the addon product market' it's mostly scenery. One thing I always miss, whilst flying around in FS 2004 Multiplayer Mode, waiting for fellow Multiplayers to turn up, is the ability to use default ATC!... :Praying: ...! (It is available in FSX). It was probably omitted during the FS 2004 design stage, for some very good reason? Was there ever a work-around, since produced, to enable us to use default ATC whilst in FS 2004 Multiplayer mode? Just a heads-up. :yahoo: Dongjin Shin's brilliant, and free, FsRaas 1.1 has been upgraded to V2 with numerous additions. Can be downloaded here in the Avsim library. I note Bryan York (FS2Crew) is also to release a commercial version of Honeywell's RAAS shortly but it would have to be spectacularly good to warrant purchase.

I bought the Saitek rudder pedals and im trying to setup the brakes on them.. i put the right toe brake and the left toe brake... when i play fs2004, the brakes come on even if i dont push the rudder pedal. If I press on it. its just weird.. so i take it off from setting and it acts normal. Any help? Thanks

Hi everyone I'm having a tough time at the moment which ultimately is forcing me to stay grounded something that for me needs to change asap. My problem is a display one and seems to be affecting the hole computer as well as FS9 (not its fault). All computer settings as well as FS9 settings are set to x32 bit display. Could it be gamma?, all drivers are updated and the comp and fs9 have no issues other then this which ultimately destroys to look of the game (most prevalent at night).

Years ago I purchased FSNav and used it for FS2K2 and FS9. It is the only purchased product that I own that I have lost the license key for. My fault. After my recent new comp purchase and long reinstal process I installed FSNav470 after being told that this version was issued by the program's author as a freeware product which did not require registration. This is not true as I found out today when FSNav told me that I'd used my 20 free 'goes' and that I'd have to register. So, two questions. Is there really a freeware 'last' version of FSNav available, and if so, could someone point me in the right direction for it? It's not 470 - unless I'm doing something…
