Hi all! here`s a strange one,at LRBS a very FPS friendly Airport ''Freeware", on take off a few hundred yards down the runway bingo,a Building Crash! Well with the ExclBuilder,i created an exclusion.bgl file that cured the problem thanks to that magical fellow "Oupa Marshall".Now at LEVC,Valencia the crash is"Object Crash" and no Exclusion.bgl file works could the offending object be in the Main Scenery file? any thoughts? As it now seems unlikely Mir will issue an FS9 version of KPHX I decided to pull out of mothballs the Avsim award winning SimFlyer's version. It installed OK, looked just as I had remembered it with shimmering textures (yet to check it for Alphas and Mips) but although a frame rate hog back in the day seems reasonable with todays hardware. Pity it's too old to be AES'd however KPHX is an important hub in the southwest and I expect it will receive a fair 'ol bashing in coming weeks. Anybody still using this scenery and care to comment?

I built a new PC using Windows XP Pro as the OS just for working on FS9 projects. For some mysterious reason I can't seem to smooth out the jaggies on the image edges with the XFX Radeon 6950 2GB Double Dissipation graphics card, the latest AMD drivers and the latest AMD Catalyst Control Center (CCC). Everything installs properly and everything but the 3D settings in CCC seem to work fine. I have tried all kinds of combinations of the 3D settings in CCC and nothing seems to have any effect on the jaggies. :( At first blush this seems very similar to the jaggies problem with NVIDIA cards and for which there is a workaround. Hi, Does anyone already has experience with running FS2004 on Windows 8? Yes, I know.... I hasn't been released yet, but is already available for MS partners since a week. This weekend I'm going to reinstall FS2004 and wondered if I should move to Win8 instead of Win7. Personally I would like to stay on Win7 but if there are compelling reasons to move to Win8, I will do that. So... anyone installed it already on Windows8?

I, recently, installed the great MK studios EPWA and after landing and clearing the runway, the taxiway, runway and the ramp started to disappear around the plane as I taxied all the way to the gate. Now, this, also, happened with FS Dreamteam's KDFW once at night. I tried searching the net and I didn't a solution, except that Imaginsim's KCLT and KIAD do have the same problem. I would appreciate it if some one could help here. :smile:

Hello, I'm having a problem with my new PC and FS2004. Here are my specs : - Core I5 3570K overclocked to 4.2Ghz with a HR-02 cooler - GTX560 Ti - Corsair Force GT 120Gb SSD - OCZ ZS Series 550W - 8Gb DDR3 My sim is turning great on max settings. I'm locking my frames at 60FPS and whatever scenery I use, weather I set or amount of trafic it stays at 60FPS. But unfortunately I'm having a problem with stutters. Every 3 seconds approximately the frame goes a second to 59.3 and then switches back to 60. This creates a stutter each time which is very annoying. I didn't had this problem with my old PC. What can be the cause of such a constant stutter ? …

i find rhat everytime i fly to an airport i havent added my own ai FP to it bothers me that the default aircrat still show up (only the GA ones though). i deleted the traffic0303xxx.bgl but still find that the default aircraft still show up and fly, mostly airports ive added on. so i cant seem to figure out where the ai is coming from and or where i can delete the code...i dont mind them though but at one of my favorite little airports in sw ontario canada 4 defualt planes take up spaces i could use to have a few aircraft park in...

I was flying on FS9, but suddenly it closed down and an error came up that said, "Failed to read from file". Then about 30 seconds later, a window pops up that states FS9 had a fatal error and needs to shut down. I looked at the error report and now I suspect that a file named mfc70.dll might be causing this, but I'm not sure. I don't have any scenery packages that modifies the FS9.CFG or SCENERY.CFG and I do have SquawkBox and FSUIPC installed and they're all for FS2004. I did all I could to try and troubleshoot, but no success. I flew on FSX and no error, so it may not be a hardware issue. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Hello This is a question for Pro Flight Emulator users. I noticed many times Pro Flight Emulator clears to land in the runway that AI planes are using to take off, i.e., the wrong runway. Any cure for this problem?

Is this going to be one of those expensive weekends? Have just bought the newly released update for Rio Galeao and have just found that Latin VFR have released their Bermuda scenery. The scenery is apparently for the whole island and is quite good value considering both FS9 and FSX versions are included. I am however a little concerned that whilst the FSX version clocks in at 525MB, the FS9 version is only 40MB! This surely can't just be down to 'birds and native vehicle animations' which, as far as I can deduce from their description on SimMarket is the only difference. I guess irrespective of this I am going to be tempted and will buy it, but if anyone has got in there …

Hi guys, I've recently being flying the QW757 rather than my CS 757. The QW75 is much more smoother it flys much better the handling is perfect. However what i miss about the CS75 is the complexity. I'm just wondering if you could probably merge the CS 2d panel with the QW757 one. Or if not could i some how make the non functional buttons on the qw757 work even if they don't animate anything? I would also like to have a more complex FMC than the QW757 one. If i could do all of that i think the QW757 would be a mean machine probably one of the best payware products for FS9. Thanks, Tom

I'd like to say I've searched the forum for the answer to my question, but for some reason I can't get the search function to work at all. I'm 99% sure the problem is at my end, the internet here never seems to work exactly how it should... But anyway, the question is :- is there a workaround for FS2004 scenery just popping up out of nowhere ? I don't mind it happening in the distance so much, but when it's a runway marker at 30 yards or a 747 at 100 yards it's a little disconcerting... Otherwise FS2004 runs great, pegged at 30fps with all sliders at maximum

OK guys I need some help with this one! I lost all my FS9 trees a couple of days ago and now just fleeting white squares appear intermittently for a second or two where the trees should be (I think). I have searched the Avsim forums for a solution and tried various suggestions including installing Gerrish Gray's Trees V3 and also reinstalling the trees texture files from FS9 disc 2, but all to no avail. I first noticed this problem when I installed Latin VFR Bermuda although this may just be a coincidence and I thought it might have more to do with the Di Marco CYYZ freeware which I had installed the day before and which contained 2 tree bgl files (ag_tree_lib.BGL an…

Is there was way to minimize the millions of center hand offs in a small area over Los Angeles? In think in was told to switch frequencies about 8 times over La. One time ones told to switch in a matter of 2 min from just switching over from their last frequency. Another annoying bug is that it will tell you climb to the next altitude right when the planes levels off from the last assigned altitude. I do love radar contact because it does not have these issues. However in love the default atc since it has more callsigns and they are customizable. I have not used the default atc program for years, so in don't know if there are tweaks for this kind of things. …

Hi Folks. Does anybody know if there is a way of updating the default maps in FS2004. I have a fairly old version, and consequently for example my FS2004 shows RWY 22 at EGSS Stansted still as RWY 23. This is the case for many Rwy's that have changed. Is there a way of updating these default maps please? Thanks John

I have Aerosofts Manhattan scenery and Drzewiecki Design's Miami City scenery and I was wondering if there is other high quality city scenery for FS9? When the city is close to the airport and high quality scenery of the city is installed it will make a big difference when flying to amd from that airport.
