Hey! I wonder wether there exist a list of the basic sceneries that are available inside the original FS2004 software, i.e. all the airports that are in the main scenery folder of FS2004. I would enjoy te have a complete list of airport names, cities, codes, country names, and possibly location coordinates as well as elevation... Does anyone know where I can find that? Greetz Jive1

Hi all, After being out of the loop in flight simming, I reinstalled again all my favorite sceneries and found that I forgot to backup my FlightZone KPDX - Ultimate Terrain USA patch. I'm now getting the dreaded double coastlines in the KSEA area. After looking all around, it seems that this file is nowhere to be found and unfortunately FlightZone has gone the way of the dodo. If anyone could provide this patch, it would be greatly appreciated.

Has any one who has upgraded to the new hardware noticed a huge difference in performance? I`m thinking of going there but the cost is substantial only worth it if FS9 improves greatly! ja99 FAPE. ??????

Hey all, Long time member, just starting to fly again after a few years off. I'm a big Long Ez fan, have flown one (my Brother-In-Law built one back in the 80s) and may built one or a Cozy sometime in the next 10yrs or so. (Work for Boeing over 25 years so looking to retire in maybe 7 years) Either one I plan on running a Mazda Rotary Turbo engine. The core is about bullet proof, it getting all the systems to work right but its been a pretty popular engine in homebuilts for many years now. So I'm wondering if anyone could make me an airfile that could simulate the performance. Turbo Rotary 13B block will have somewhere around 200-220HP with a max MP of 40.…

Hey, i just did a long flight in FS9 and after i landed and went to the gate, i noticed that the aircraft was transparent, which i later found out that it is due to FS9 for some reason made the aircrafts (all aircrafts are like this) alpha channels go from reflection to transparency, restart did not help. is there a way to change it back to reflection instead of having to change the alpha channels on all aircrafts? why does it change the alpha channels for no reason?

A few days ago, I was mid flight, and a breaker popped in my home shutting down my computer. This has happened before without event, but this time, ever since that outage, I keep getting the black screen of death when flying. I can start FS, load a flight, taxi out, takeoff, but while climbing, I get the screen and CTD. Does anyone have any clues?

If anyone has been like me and peeked into the world of FSX only to find that FS9 is better, you may have noticed the FSX views given. One, that i just CANNOT find anywhere is the chase view. Has anyone had luck finding this and making it work on FS9? Nico

What is the most fluid motion glass cockpit instrumentation available for purchase? And which aircraft (prefer GA type)? I use FS pretty much only for simulated IFR flight, 2D, local area instrument practice. I have the Dreamfleet and Reality XP stuff which is great. But want something that moves me up towards Garmin 1000 or similar. My real world Aeronca Chief is fortunate to have a Garmin 196. Thanks.

any payware addons or free downloads out there than can simulate car traffic on the roads like fsx? With todays fast intel & amd chips, it would be nice. Payware addon airports do an awesome job in simulating this.

Googling this finds a number of people with the same problem, but no answers. Anyone any idea how this program works, under the bonnet/hood, so to speak? The forum link given with the programme is no longer valid. I tried a different version of FSUIPC first (I have 3.9.9.9 registered), but no difference. What does make a difference is where you start your flight. When I start at ZSPD for example I get 'Error in Program': if I start at KSEA, EGKK, EGLL, or probably most others, the data loads in AIS with no problem. So the error seems to come when you try to retrieve data at some 'faulty' airports. So what data is missing or wrong? What exactly is AIS looking for when …

Today's AVSIM announcements includes a new F4 Phantom that has just been released for FS9 and FSX. Before anyone buys it for FS9, I suggest you check out the Cloud9 version. Though it is an older release, the C9 Phantom is outstanding. Judging by the screen shots only, as I have not purchased it, the new release may not be to the same standard as the existing C9 Phantom. Cloud9 (you will find them on the FSDT home page) has a "try before you buy" option so you can download and fly the full featured F4 and it will run for a limited time. Hi Guys, I am thinking of installing FS9 on my laptop as FSX + complex add-ons can sometimes result in big FPS hits. Before I do this I was wondering if FS9 users could help answering some questions. We all know Flytampa as one of those companies right alongside PMDG as releasing really great payware addons for fs2004-right? Well remember Ki-tak? Im guessing yes, because probably 90% of us own it for FS2004 or FSX, and chances are we still fly there once in awhile to get our fix. Why? Several reasons. First, ki-tak offers probably one of the most challenging, and fun (i'm not going to lie) approaches within Flight Simulator. We've all seen those videos on youtube of the ki-tak approaches and then go re-create them outselves. Amazing pilots, and amazing footage. Hello all, I'm sorry if my recent questions seem silly, but I want to make sure I'm not screwing anything up as I reintroduce FS9 into my life. I have reinstalled FS9 to my system, and added Ground Environment, Ultimate Terrain, Ultimate Traffic, and FS Global mesh to upgrade the landscape. To add the immersion of other pilots outside of VATSIM, I also installed Ultimate Traffic. My question is, I'm considering adding Megacity Dallas to the list, I just want to make sure that if I do that, it wont screw anything up with the other programs/addons I've mentioned here, specifically Ultimate Traffic in regards to parking, taxiway/runway alignment, etc. Thank you fo…

This is probably an odd question, but I assume there must be a file somewhere within FS9 which stores allowable aircraft models for the purposes of default ATC identification. I'm referring to the fact that one has to list, say, a Boeing 737-400 as atc_model=B734, which default ATC, coupled with the setting atc_type=BOEING translates as "Boeing 737". Whereas with Airbus a/c, one simply lists atc_model settings as A318, A319, etc. The reason for the question is I have a whole flock of HJG Lockheed L1011 aircraft, which I very much enjoy flying. The atc_type is set to "Lockheed", which ATC deals with fine, but it can't do anything with the atc_model entry of L1011, as …

Hi all, I love my settings for Bloom in FS9, my night settings are almost default however since I don't like how the Bloom effect darkens the night environment too much. I would like however for the runway lights and other lights to have a bit more bloom at night. Would this be possible and if so, what is the setting in the ini file that I would need to adjust to get this effect? thanks Bill

Hey Guys, I am new to the forum and have a couple questions on my new PC coming in very soon. I have dedicated myself to FS9 as I have played it love it and LOVE addons for FS9. Anyways, I wanted to get an opinion on my new PC and how well you think it would run FS9 with max settings loads of addons and of course and nice payware plane such as iFly. Hello everyone, I recently realized that I miss flight sim, so I reinstalled everything and have everything tweaked where I want it (mostly). Question now is, does VATSIM still support FS9, or is it FSX only at this point? Also, if it does support 9, do FS9 and FSX players coexist with each other in the virtual airspace? I didn't want to bother with trying to set VATSIM all up again if I can't even use it with fs9, and I can't find any info about FS versions supported around VATSIM. Thanks

Alright for some reason i'm trying to fly my flight plan and when i impute a heading or i toggle V-NAV the aircraft light AP/PRST lights up and the heading or V-NAV shuts off. Also on my PFD i see CWS R. I'm very confused and when I reset the autopilot it happens over and over. So can anyone tell me why this is happening and what i can do!
