Morn'n Folks, I have my new i2700k Sandy build operational - as of this weekend... One of the first planes I tried to load was the Dreamfleet 727... The plane seemed to install fine - on a separate SSD from the one I loaded the OS on... While I haven't tested everything in FS9 - it does seem to fly well... Only issue - is I get an error "429 - no license available" when I attempt to launch the Configuration Manager... The plane was installed completely from the F1 wrapper without error... I've repeated the process several times... I made sure no anti virus software was running... I've opened up the permissions on the drive so anyone has "full control"... Someone direc…

The fs9 KSLC scenery Addon listed on Freeware is currently labeled obsolete. Also the KPIH addon on the Freeware list is shown as current but is actually a WW2 Army Base. I used to fly in to PIH years ago on my route and would love to have it. Pocatello is the second largest city in Idaho and it is strange that there is no civilian version new or old KIDA would be nice also. JGSJW

On *some* FSDT sceneries in FS9 (all of Hawaii, KLAS, and KFLL), my ground textures don't seem to load until about 8 or 9 NM from the airfield. Instead of some blurry ground textures, a rather obnoxious gray ground texture loads underneath the runway. These are the only sceneries I seem to have this problem with (FlyTampa, ImagineSim, etc...even FSDT KORD, KJFK, KLAX, and KDFW all work fine) seem to have some kind of aerial photo or tiling underneath to display in the distance. When download instructions say to "Use Folder Options" what does that mean? I know where to find them in Control Panel but what is the strategy regarding extractions into the FS9 files? JGSJW

I discovered that my ramp textures for several FS2004 default airports look really strange! So far I have seen this effect at KSEA, KORD, KPHX, and KSFO. Please see the attached screenshot of the ramp at KORD. At first it looked like the ramps were covered with default ground textures, but as I changed and rotated my view of the aircraft I found that the real texture appeared to be visible "under" the ground texture! What could possibly be causing thie effect on a default airport? I have other custom airports and perhaps a critical texture file was overwritten. I found an airport in the library to replace the default KPHX, but how can I fix my other ramps that I mentioned…

Hi All I'm relatively new to using the FMC to fly, I used to just follow the ATC's instructions to do an ILS approach. I recently bought FSBuild and am now using that program to generate a flight plan which I load in the FMC and follow. My question is about knowing which SIDs and STARs to select. For example, I auto generate a flight plan in FS Build, then I load the fmc and enter the "coroute" for example EGLLEHAM which brings up my flight plan in the FMC. I then use the ATIS to find out which runway is active and load that into the FMC, it then generates a list of SIDs - how do I know which one to use? I have been fighting this for a while now and I can't seem to find out why FS9 is rendering my water like this, I have attached a screenshot of what it is doing and I do not know if this is a limitation of FS9 or that I need to edit my cfg file. I am using REX2004 OD and GEpro.

After successfully loading various large airport scenery addons I failed to make a FedEx Station addon to Yakatat Alaska in my FS9. So I gave up and deleted the download files from my FS9 Addon Scenery and also deleted them from my FS9 Scenery Library. Now when I load the FS9 simulator a window pops up saying "Scenery.cfg ERROR. Local Scenery Directory (Addon Scenery\FedEx PAYA\Scenery) In Scenery Area .049 Not Found. Click OK to Continue" So I click OK and up comes the next window saying "Scenery .cfg File Error. Good morning, recently I had some out-of-memory crashs and some CTD of my FS2004 at UGTB. I use the freeware scenery of A. Svanidze from avsim.su, which has been extremely stable until now (and I've been there very very often). An email came, I clicked the link... proceeded to checkout, downloaded. Clicked the installer, started the sim. You have to have a lot of confidence in a product to do this sight unseen. I have a lot of confidence in Carenado... I was not disappointed. Lovely to see what can be done in FS2004.

It seemed everything is okay at 500ft and below, at 300ft I disengaged A/P. I set DH at 100. Reaching 50ft, I slowly lifted the nose up, the flare went smooth and at 30ft I cut the throttle and suddenly the a/c was drifted to the right due to wind, no matter what I did with the rudder. I ended damaging the grass. I made a little aileron correction/input on final because everything was just seemed good. Any tips? I'm using Maddog 82. Crosswind isnt a new thing for me but never have I had this sort of wind in my last 4 flights, I ended landing outside the tarmac. It looks like the wind hit just before touchdown.Thanks Cheers

Not lookin for award winning or ultra realisitic.... (thats r eserved for the props in my hanger) But lookin for a decent B727 100/200 series with a decent VC. Cant seem to find any.... Hello. Firstly, I would like to apologize in advance if this topic already exists ; I have tried to find the solution, but I couldn't. The problem I have with my Wilco A340, A330 and sometimes A320 family, basically Wilco Airbus in general, is that it climbs too fast. I do not think this is realistic. For example on a hot day in New York which I just departed with my Airbus A340-300 (fully loaded for a 10hr flight), the Airbus was climbing at about 3700 v/s+ ... this is too fast! The plane climbs too fast initially, but then gradually calms down. For example now with 67 tons of Fuel, FL267, climbing FL350, I'm climbing with 1800 v/s with CLB setting. Shouldn't this be…

Hello all. Just a few days ago I got the Triple-7 developed by PSS which unfortunately doesn't exist anymore. So, my problem is that when I launch the configurator, everything runs fine. I choose the aircraft, passengers, fuel, weights etc. and save it. Then I run FS2004, load the aircraft without any problems, but the all the options I did before, are not saved. The aircraft is fully loaded. Fully loaded of fuel, passengers and the weights are crazy... Any help how to solve that? I know that I can load as much fuel I want at the Electronic Checklist, but I want my options to be saved. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well, a picture is worth a thousand words. I suddenly appear to have square coastlines for the Hawaiian islands (and only the Hawaiian islands so far that I can see). Does anyone know which bgls define coastlines for Hawaii? I run FSDT Hawaiian Airports and PHNL, no special terrain meshes.
