Received R4D CD in the UK mail today. Already have EIGHT HOURS PIC of the NATS/BEA/UAL combo. Forgot to eat breakfast, forgot to eat lunch, forgot to feed the cat! Yes, it REALLY is that good, you can lose DAYS of your life! So far highlights include:1: Full manual startup from cold'n'dark on first boot - the interactive manuals with the inserted video is utterly, completely and totally the ONLY way to present information about complex FS addons - I don't think I've used `Ctrl+E` at all yet! Spent thirty minutes just watching the vids and had the starting procedure down pat before stepping foot in the cockpit.2: Just sitting watching the props rotate and blipping the thro…

MAAM people,In the FS2002 version there was an automatic pilot system controlling altitude, heading, and approach. Was there some reason why the same A/P was excluded from the GMAX version ? Thanks,Jack

Hi,After anxiously waiting, I've just received my R4D-DC3 CD from MAAM. I placed it into my CD drive and no files can be read. I tried another drive and still no luck. There are no apparent scratches or other visible damage on the disk. I tested both drives with several other CDs and there were no problems. It almost seems as if the disk is blank. I emailed MAAM but no reply yet. Is anyone else having this problem?Charlie Felix

Does the new R4D/DC3 have a "modern" autopilot as well as the Sperry autopilot, as did the previos version? If not, are there any plans to provide one?Thanks,Sandy

Since I absolutely don't trust our local mail (god knows how many packets I didn't receive in the last years), it would be nice to know that there will be a download version of the new DC-3?!Andreas

I have'nt flown the B25 in a while. But I noticed that the engine sounds in the cokpit are a lot louder than when flying outside the AC in spot view. Actually litsening from outside I can barely hear them. Is this normal?Bill M

Got my new toy yesterday; had a good time flying it around several places. Flew over Oshkosh and landed there. It DOES steer and handle like a 40 ft river raft made out of 3 ft diameter logs. That is to say; the thing just sits there and you really have to "sweat" to get it to turn. Given the realism that the model portrays, is that the way the real thing flies? Visually, this thing is stunning! Can't wait for the DC-3 to come along. (I know, I know; it's on it's way as we "speak"!):D

I'm now running two monitors (lucky me). I can't find a way to detach the co-pilot view to move it over to the right, however - it will only slide up and down. In fact the same seems to be the case for all the pop-ups. Is there a way to move them sideways...? I can't find anything about this in the manual.

Is there any date as to when we can expect you to start shipping it to us. Store still just shows Pre-order only.

I was in St Augustine today BTW thats in Florida and went into a used book store and looking through their aviation section found a very old DC-3 manual from Mid-Continent Airlines dated 7-2-48.I will now have to research Mid-continent,I have been thinking about getting the new R4D cd and now I just ordered it.I hope this manual and the new R4D work out together. I purchased the R4D cd some time ago and didn't realize I could install the NATS R4D in CFS2 ... I have CFS2 V3.75 on my CD and installed. The problem is that the airplane tips back and blows up on the runway ... I can't seem to get it to work properly. Any suggestions appreciated.Robert

Hi Bill & Team !Great news with the official release announcement and preview shots. Come 1st June I'll be waiting in line to order the CDs !I know that you normally produce your manual as an HTML. Are there any plans to produce a printable edition (say in Word or PDF ?) If not, would you be interested in one ? For your previous releases I've transcribed the manual and printed it out as it make reference much easier.
