	Hi .
</p>

<p>
	On the 03/AUG/17 I purchased the MAAM SIM B25J V7 for FSX , downloaded and installed.
</p>

<p>
	When I selected the aircraft in freeflight , I found the aircraft twitching and moveing on the tarmac , with no engines running in cold/dark.
</p>

<p>
	It has taken me 4 days to find the culprit , but don't know if I have isolated the correct item , below is the two repeated entries in the aircraft.cfg file where only one should reside.
</p>

<p>
	As you can see from below entries , the top one of the two has now been isolated , which I think comes from the fs9 version , could someone confirm if correct one has been isolated.

<p>
	A question about using projectors with the Briefing Time B-25. I'm using Prepar3D v3.4. I don't want the aircraft interior to show in the projector view. In some aircraft types which have in the Models folder a file called airplanexx_interior.mdl  I am able to do this by "commenting out" the line in the model.cfg file that refers to that file, like this: //interior=cessna172sp_interior. This causes the display system to draw only the outside view.
</p>

<p>
	However I don't see such a file in the B-25 files.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?

	Many thanks in advance.

<p>I just purchased and installed <span style="font-size:14px;">"<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;">MAAM-SIM Douglas R4D/DC-3/C-47 - FSX DOWNLOAD VERSION".</span></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px;">As soon as I try to open the overhead electrical panel, FSX crashes to the desktop.</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px;">There is another, less critical but possibly related symptom: When I start FSX, and when I try to select any aircraft from the Free Flight screen, I get an error </span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px;">"There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px;">SimObjects\Airplanes\MAAM-SIM C-47A - Air Drop Cargo"</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px;">Closing the error message allows FSX to continue to load the aircraft, but then trying to open the overrhead panel crashes FSX.</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p>I can open the other popup windows like the quadrant and the flaps and gear with no problem. Only the overhead panel crashes FSX.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am running FSX SP2 on Win 7 64-bit, with an Nvidia GTX-550ti graphics card.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Update: I removed the whole MAAM-SIM C-47A - Air Drop Cargo folder temporarily from the Airplanes folder, and the error disappeared. But opening the overhead panel still crashes FSX.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Is this a known problem? Could I be missing a gauge file, or something?</p>

<p>
	Just a simple question - I've just found the MAAM B-25 online, and wonder if anyone has had this working in P3Dv4? I'd love to have a B-25 in my hangar but $30 is a bit much to speculate with for a possibly non-working model. I've got plenty of FSX models working fine in P3Dv4, but I'm a bit cautious with models originally built for FS9.

	Thanks for any advice,

<p>Some DC-3 users have reported missing gauges after installing the DC-3 package. I’ve been stumped by this, suspecting it had to be something in the OS, but not sure what. I just did a Google search and came up with this on the PMDG website. It sounds like this is the problem. Credit to them.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Fixing the FSX DLL Trust Policy</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Overview:</span></strong></p>
<p>When you load an FSX add-on aircraft for the first time, FSX should ask you if you trust the dlls (gauge files) when the airplane is first loaded. This should only happen the first time, or after a patch is applied to the add-on aircraft.</p>
<p>Occasionally, FSX will forget to ask you to authorize the dlls, and this can create an undesirable circumstances where the dlls (gauge files) are not loaded with the rest of the airplane. The end result is an unusable simulation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Correcting the Problem:</span></strong></p>
<p>The first step to correcting this problem is to open the FSX.CFG file and delete all references to your product that can be found under the [TRUSTED] section of the FSX.CFG.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Next, you must eliminate a troublesome registry setting that Windows uses for third party DLL trust policy selection.</p>
<p>Check if the <strong>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WinTrust\Trust Providers\Software Publishing</strong> registry key is set to 0x63c00. This value is Microsoft's WinTrust policy selection flags, as described <a href="http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/seccrypto/security/wintrustsetregpolicyflags.asp" rel="external">here</a>. The 0x40000 flag means "Allow only items in personal trust database" and apparently, this clashes with FSX's ability to allow manual authorization of unrecognized DLLs, telling it instead to never trust anything outside the user's personal trust.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Unsetting this flag (putting it back to its default 0x23c00 value) returns all operations to normal and Flight Simulator X will once again be able to ask the user to designate the PMDG DLL modules as 'Trusted' software.</p>
<p>__________________________________________________________________________________________________________</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Please report if this solves the problem.</p>

	Hi.
</p>

<p>
	A couple of days ago , me and another member of the 91st , where flying the maamsim b25 on joinfs version 1.2.10 , we tookoff from KNUQ and had just passed the first vor GTD on our route and turned towards our second vor when within a split second of each other our flightsims had a fatal crash , as anyone else flown the b25 in formation on joinFS and had any fatal crashes.
</p>

<p>
	My friend had a spinning ring of death , no message , i had a message saying visualfx.dll failed , i have a very good games machine , and have not had any other aircraft cause this , i know this is an old aircraft now that as been updated to work on FSX.
</p>

<p>
	We have also done the same route a few times on our individual machines without joinFS in the B25 with no issues , i am just trying to figure out what might be the issue causing these fatal CTD`s while flying on joinFS .
</p>

<p>
	Regards Alan Cottrill.

<p>As many members of this forum will know, the "AWOL Altimeter Bug" was discovered and a solution formulated by savvy customers here quite some time ago.  Alas, this was all after the retirement of the MAAM-SIM development team and the release of the final version, v10, of the R4D/DC-3/C-47 package for FSX, so it was never incorporated into the installer. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The solution required editing the panel.cfg files of the DC-3 Passenger version and the C-47A Cargo version models from which many of the other aircraft panels are aliased.  Only the R4D and those planes using its panel were unaffected. In a nutshell, a missing 1 in the altimeter gauge name in three locations in both defective panel.cfg files caused the altimeters to go missing from the VC and mini-panel of all the affected aircraft. The patch will save you the tedium of hunting down and doing the edits by replacing the two faulty files with fixed ones.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Download the patch here:</p>

<p> </p>
<p>Simply unzip, then follow the direction in the included patch_readme.txt</p>
<p> </p>
<p>NOTE: Customers who purchase and download the FSX R4D/DC-3/C-47 package after May 2, 2016 will find the patch included in their download archive.</p>

<p>Thanks for your patience and understanding, and of most of all for supporting the historic aircraft restoration programs of the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum by your purchase.</p>
