When will the Reading airport scenery be available for download?

Hi folks and especially Bill... ;-)I was watching the BBC's "Big Read" Top 100 books of all time last night and, amongst the top-21 short list that we all get to vote for between now and Christmas was a rather well known tome called "Catch 22"...The thing is, it was being championed by John Sergeant, a BBC News reporter. He was first seen sitting in a co-pilot's seat above a familiar looking blue circular emblem, then next to a Sperry bombsite, then wearing a set of David Clark's inside.Whichever B25 it was, the speech was dubbed because you could hear it. It didn't half look extremely familiar though. Has the BBC been giving Russ some dosh to play with his bomber? :-hah…

Bill: Thanks for your update on Briefing Time; looking forward to using it in FS9. The only thing that equalled the quality of the aircraft was the manual that accompanied it; extremely well done! I hope that you'll have a stong influence on upcoming R4D production for FS9; looking forward to that as well.-GeorgeM at 5B6

Just wanted to publically thank the staff of the museum in Reading PA which I visited in mid September while driving from Vancouver to Nova Scotia and return. I would enthusiasticly encourage anyone and everyone to plan a visit to the museum. The displays are professionally presented and include the real Mc-Coys.. Briefing Time and the DC-3 R4D all in excellent condition. Also thank the folks in the "Back Room" for allowing me a sneak visit of the Black Widow,P-61,in the process of restoration. It's hard to imaging or see the precision and attention to detail being given to all the restorations. Thanks guys

I know this probably sounds stupid (like I should already know), but is there a MAAM-SIM web site that has news on projects and stuff?J

Well, my demo computer did not survive the trip, but we MAAM-SIM types did, somewhat the worse for wear, as you may have seen from that picture I posted earlier. *:-* *:-* *:-* *:-* *:-*IMHO, the 2003 AVSIM Conference and Exhibition at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum could not have gone better. The culmination at the awards banquet at the Inn at Reading, on the other hand, was marred, nay, nearly drowned out, by the loudest wedding reception on human record! It sounded more like a football riot on the other side of the moveable partition and the keynote speaker, Captain Walsh of UAL, competed manfully with it, demonstrating coolness under fire. I only wished that we had br…

I want to use the subject panel and sound in FS9. It has loaded ok but how and where do I enter my unlock code to prevent the time-out?
-
Bill, I hope you can answer this one for me... Got BT working in FS9 but they seemed to have changed the way they handle the sounds a bit. Now when bringing back the propeller RPM the sound of the engines doesn't change at all. (All the way down to 1500) You have to bring the throttle back to 30-31 inches before ANY change in sound ocurs. This is a VERY big deal to me as the sounds in FS2K2 were the big draw for me. I have a six lever throttle and live for the power adjustments in this bird. Any chance of me "fixing" the sound.cfg to make the sounds more sensitive to power changes?? (Tell me how?? Mike Hambly, you listening?) I LOVE bringing back the props on climb…

I've added some new shots of the upcoming MAAM/KRDG scenery. You can see them at http://www.spottedantelope.com/bwomack/. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38049.jpgEnjoy!

I did a forum search, but couldn't find anything that specifically says the GMax R4D will be FS2002 compatible. Will it, or is it updated to 2004 only? I don't think I will be getting 2k4.

Well, it's not done yet but it's looking pretty good if I do say so. Pretty soon all you Mitchell pilots will have somewhere to park your Briefing Time and... dare I say it... R4D! I've attached a preliminary screenshot here. Visit my site at http://www.spottedantelope.com/bwomack/ for more development shots.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/37645.jpg

Bottoms up II served with the 486th BS, 340th BG in Italy and Corsica. The engines and lower surfaces of the wings are coated with a layer of primer. It was flown like you see it here by 1Lt Clarence Morton in Gaudo , Italy in march '44http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36722.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36724.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/36727.jpg

I have looked through the MAAM-SIM support posts and have not found this same problem. The cowl flaps do not work and the panel lights or instrument lights do not work as the manual says they should. Im running the 7th edition CD in FS2002, OP system XP.

After following the instructions about moving files from FS2002 over to FS9 I couldnt find the FS9.cfg file to make the FSSound.dll entry.I have searched my hard drive for the #%&*@# thing using every combo I could find (including *.cfg). When I start FS9 I get that message about "possible incompatible software FSSound.dll". After bypassing that message I can load BT. Beautiful in all respects except no 2D panel. The virtual cockpit is ok and looks even better than fs 2002. Can anyone help me find the FS9.cfg file so I can fix things?

Hello, First, I want to express my thanks to the entire BT team for making such an excelent addon for FS! Second, I had a question about landing BT. After reading the manual (i did RTFM) I was a little unclear about the landing procedure for BT. I understand that the nosewheel on the real BT is held off the ground for aero-braking and to save wear on the brakes. I was wondering at what speed the nose is lowered and the brakes are applied? I ask because waiting for the nose to come down on its own takes an insanley long runway.thanks,David Swindle

I have seen a couple of comments elsewhere in here but thought I would add mine. I recently received a Dell XPS with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro for my birthday/Christmas present (a great wife I have). Anyway, I am slowly but surely getting stuff transferred from the old one. Installed FS9 and the BT. Couple of comments.First I have the same thing happening with the throttle that I saw on another post, have to cut it way back before it throttles back. Just thought I would add mine to the list.Second the landing lights flood out everything. Can't see the taxiways, and the blue marker lights are barely visible. It almost looks like a mist is on the ground and the lights a…
