...if it was real. As it is, I just like the screenshot. *grin*(and yes, for those that are counting, that's 7 Nav lights, 1 Beacon, 2 Landing Lights, 1 VC Light, 4 Engine Exhaust Effects (lights), & 12 Guns (Lights) in FS9! *grin*)

I have received my B-25J CD last Tuesday and since then I have been exploring it. Too fast I would say, because in relation to the glass reflection issue I might have made a mistake. Since I have a GeForce4 card, I checked how the cockpit looked. It was perfectly transparent, so I applied the fix. Only after doing that I realized that my "Reflections" box in Settings was not selected! Is there any way of reversing (uninstalling) the "glass fix" patch? I tried to identify the file or files installed by the patch but I did not succeed.I would like to congratulate the authors: it is the first "non-freeware" aircraft I have installed and I think that it is well worth the amoun…

Hi,I just wondered if anyone could tell me whether the B-25 is still available for purchase and download from the Avsim store? I have checked, but all I can see is the CD version. The downloads section does not appear to display a downloadable purchase of the B-25 package. I would very much like to purchase the B-25, and if need be will obviously order the CD, but my first choice would be the download.Any help would be most appreciated!Best regards,Al Summers.

Hi all,Does anyone have a aircraft profile for the B-25 for use in FS Navigator? I'm thinking about the settings for climb/cruise/decend speed/gph figures that makes it possible for FS Navigator to plan your route. I know that I can use the figures from the performance specs but was hoping someone had some tested values. Thanks in advance,Timian

I was wondering if there was any way to change the virtual upper cockpit glass colour from green to clear. I know there is good reason in the real BT to have it for glare protection, but I would prefer it to be clear if possible. I am really enjoying this plane though, regardless of what colour the glass is!

Hi Folks,As promised earlier by Bill, here's a bunch of screenshots of what the civil DC-3's featured in our forthcoming GMax R4D/DC-3 package are going to look like. Featuring United Air Lines ship NC16063 "City of San Francisco" and British European Airways ship G-AMNV "Sir Eric Geddes" ( for the latter see 'Part 2' of this preview series ):Here's UAL NC16063 showing nose airscoop (cabin ventilation) and feathering props:http://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/civilDC-3s/ual22.jpgAs per the real subject: not so common starboard side 'airstair' entrance door.http://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/civilDC-3s/ual23.jpgCorrect start-up smoke, coming out of the exhaust pipe, not from jus…

Hi All,:-)Happy New Year to all especially Bill and the MAAM team.I am still using FS2002 and have R4D and BT installed. Recently I noticed there are two new versions, bt_bn_9.zip and b25j_fal.zip.I have downloaded the former but as yet not found the other. The BN version when unzipped ends in an exe file which wants to extract the files to FS9 (naturally) but I understood the download could be used in FS2k2. I cannot see how to do this. Have I downloaded the correct file? If so how do you I change the install for FS2k2.Can anyone direct me to the other version, it is not in Flightsim.com?Cheers, Barrie

I received my MAAM B25 CD's a few days ago, and I just had to tell you guys how impressed I am with your extremely high quality work! This aircraft is absolutely incredible. It is the aircraft I have been searching for since I got FS9. It meets and exceeds all of my expectations. I ordered it on a Saturday, and had it by the following Tuesday. This is a testament to the efficiency of your volunteer organization, considering it had to go through Canada Customs, the US Mail, and Canada Post. This the first time I have purchased payware, or in this case I should say Donationware. This is a great cause, and everyone benefits. Bravo Zulu! A job well done!Bill

All you B-25 people, especially the MAAM "BT" development team - have you ever read the book "Whip", by Martin Caidin? Mr. Caidin was a prolific writer of WW-II airplane books during the 1970s. An excellent writer. "Whip" is a work of fiction. It takes place in the Pacific, 1942-43, Northern Australia, New Guinea. Its about a B-25 outfit, and while it's fiction, it seems to be based on the exploits of the 3rd Attack Group, who fought those early dark and defensive days of the Pacific war. There are references to real people, like Paul "Pappy" Gunn, who, from the field, helped transform early B-25Bs and Cs from glass-nosed "green-house" level bombers into 50 cal arme…

I'm having a problem with adding some of the BT repaints. Some of the install directions tell you to look the folder "B-25J Briefing Time bare-metal" and copy it to the new folder, such as the "Angel of Mercy."I've installed the bare-metal files per directions, twice, and don't have a "B-25J Briefing Time bare-metal" folder. The only place I can find a bare-metal version is in FS2004.Am I missing something? Or, am I just thick headed and not installing correctly? I'm now totally confused on this one.TIA,Jim

Hi everyone,New user question. I recently bought fs2004 and found out about the B-25 addon from the Flight Sim Central site (www.fscentral.com). At that site it says the product will be released soon, but at this time (11 Jan) has yet to be released. Then I found the MAAM web site, and then this site, where all of you people have been talking about flying BT in fs2004 for some time.At the MAAM site, I've established that BT was originally released for fs2002 and that there is a "patch" to make it fs2004 compatible. If I buy the fs2002 version with the fs2004 patch, is it the same thing as the product still unavailalabe from Flight Sim Central?Where do I get the fs2002 vers…

Took me a while but finally i found time to paint a new B-25 skin. This time it's a bare metal strafer version painted in the colors of the 12th BG.The noseart and name is fictious except the art painted over the tip of the nose. This were the markings of the 12th BG late in the war ,like the falconhead or the bat on other planes in the pacific.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/57152.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/57153.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/57154.jpg http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/57155.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/57156.jpgRattle'A way to fly'

Hi guys,I was wondering if there was a paint kit available for the BT B-25. I'd like to repaint it to look like one of the Dolittle Raider planes.Although there was no fancy airwork on these planes, the major diffrence was the US insignia which had a red dot in the middle of some of the white stars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Bill
