Hi All,For easier use while in the VC? I'm talking about the default panel here.If you like flying in the Virtual Cockpit but keep finding that the Yoke is blocking the way of you seeing and/or turning the VOR1/ADF dials and slightly blocking your view to the DME how would you like to have them on one of the pop-up windows? Namely the Electrical/Radio Overhead pop-up. I think it's the best option because you can see the results of tuning the radio immediately and dial in your VOR/ADF bearings all right on one pop-up. I like having the yoke there as it realistic to have it and adds to the immersion factor. But I have found it that it is in the way of being able to dial the…

First of all, I just want to add to the other congratulations on this wonderful new bird. You folks have really outdone yourselves this time. My only knock so far is that I cannot start it "by the book." I go precisely through the steps and no joy, but {Ctrl E} starts it and it flies just fine so I am a very happy camper indeed. I still fly the old one occasionally with some of Mark Beaumont's paints but this is my bird of choice now.Thanks again to all of you for the huge effort!!!

I received my copy of the new R4D/C-47 released after the 4th of July. This new GMax version as I understand it is the latest version. I am not sure of the Version Number. Can someone enlighten me?Thanks,Jesse

When I use the autopilot the elevator flutters when viewed with the external view. Inside the A/C there is a constant porpoising untilthe autopilot is shut down. Is there a fix for this or am I doing something wrong?Red

Let's hear it for Peter Dowson!!! He's solved the UK ADF problem. The latest version of FSUIPC (3.30) now supports an option "AutoTuneADF=YES" in the.ini file. This makes ADF gauges scan adjacent 0.5 frequencies so that the R4D6 can now work with the ADF's in the UK. I tried it last night at EGBE (ADF=363.5) and it seems fine.John

Just received my new R4D and it's excellent - great job guys! I know that it's been mentioned once before but is there any chance of a quick fix to provide a datum mark at the top of the artificial horizons? IFR is much more tricky without them.Les

I have a problem with operating the landing gear using the pop-up panel.When I click on the latch the lever springs up to the half up position but clicking on the lock lever won't bring it up to the fully unlocked position - as a consequence the gear lever will not operate.Raising and lowering the gear with "g" works fine - If I do this through one cycle I find I can then use the pop-up panel as described in the manual. Any thoughts welcomed. Otherwise what a beautiful bird!!!

I seem to have a problem with the new DC3 from MAAM.I am not getting any sound for the right engine when I switch on the fuel pump, start and vibrate switches even though I follow all instructions. this does not occur with the left engine, sound works. Also, the engine will not start. I can do so w/ CTLR-E, but I wish to do so manually. Any others experiencing this problem? Any ideas? I have the same issue whether I use the Beta sound or the 1.52 sound module. Help is appreciated.Thanks, Jim

Hello MAAM-SIM!I ordered the DC-3 in June (21:st i think) and my Visa Card was billed June 28:th. I have not recieved the CD('s?)...How long do you think the shipping time is to Sweden?Any knowledge about others from scandinavia that have the same problem? or have recieved it.Adress is checked and OK. I just wanted to thank you for the excellent service from all you guys at MAAM. After I'd recieved a faulty CD, you sent me a zip file right away, and posted another CD off to germany. It took from Tuesday till Saturday to get here, from Reading PA to germany in 5 days, that's what I call service! The new CD is fine btw, I've copied all the data onto HD and a CD just in case,I don't want to ever have to do without this fine aircraft! Btw, I've posted a retrofit for the RXP Garmin 530 to use with it, available in the user files at RealityXP, if anybodys interested!BestGrahame (EDHL)

After a thunderstorm passed through, I noted there was a problem... the paint was apparently still wet from the warbird weekend at Maam!

I had a problem with not being able to see any of the files on the first R4D CD that I received. Bill got right on it and immediately sent me a replacement. However, I'm having some new problems with the 2nd CD. I can see all the files and the R4D installer (R4DC3FS9.EXE) and the "read_1st.txt" are fine. But the files in the PTM and Manual subfolders are visible but not accessible. I've never had this type of problem with CDs in the past. I even tried it on my neighbor's computer with the same results. It's great to have the R4D flying but I have are a lot of question that the manual and PTM would probably help with. Do I need a 3rd disk or is there another solution?…

Gentlmen,I have had MAAM RD4-6 since it has been for the FS98 and FS2000.In the Manual of this version, Operation Instructional Videos seems very eraborate and useful indeed; however, I'm sorry that I can hardly hear what captain Russ instruct because English is not my native language. Hi Bill & all,I realise that now the new CD is out (and I've ordered my copy) there won't be much interest in previous versions (I've got them all), but I'm having a problem with the A/P. I'm not talking about the Sperry (bless it's cotton socks) but the modern illegitimate one.When I first installed it it seemed to work ok but now when I set altitude and/or heading the altitude jumps in 1000 increments and heading in 10deg increments. Is there a reason why there are three seperate DC-3 folders? I was going to consolidate them to save hard drive space. If one model is a different size than the others, obviously that won't work.Anyway, thanks for such a sweet airplane.

I was used to have in vintage aircraft, with reciprocating engines, the "Primer" and the "Start" switches. Now R4D also has a "Vibrator" switch.I presume it is some kind of "spark generator", to provide ignition before the magnetos come into action, but I would like to be sure.Does anyone know what exactly it is?Regards,

Just rcvd my CD today & have it installed ready to fly. Have been going thru the manual & videos & have been unable to start the plane.I have been trying to follow the starting procedure as shown in the manual & video. The engines will turn over but I cannot get them to fire. Apparently I am doing something wrong but I don't know what it is. Just can't seem to get the engines to start. Could you review for me the correct starting procedure so I can get this beauty running. Am anxious to hear the sounds of those engines & to get it into the air.Thanks,Bob Anderson
