I entirely agree that B25 is an outstanding piece of work and to go with it I recommend reading an outstanding book (IMHO), if you can still find it, it's called WHIP and it is written by Martin Caidin who should be well known to aircraft lovers. You will find yourself in 1942 flying with a bunch of B25 against the Japs, no kamikaze missions but you will need wits to survive. No matter how many times I re-read it, it's still as good as ever.Go and Get IT...Soft landingAFR313

Hi Bill, Jan and the group, I have a question on just how to load the R4D into my FS2002. I have V4.01 of the MAAM CD ROM, the best FS package yet. There are also two other files: (1) r4d_2k2.zip (2) r4dv40up.zip My question is: Do I install just item (1) after V4.01 or do I install item (2) then item (1)? As I have already installed V4.01 and item (1) can I now just install item (2) or will I need to start over again in order to end up with the proper sequence? Finally, what a lovely visual and flying model this R4D is. You guys did one heck of a job. I'm waiting for my B-25 CD to arrive but I understand, due to the recent snowstorms, th…

I noticed that the "nose glass" on the B-25 seems to have a few gaps in the model where the glass sections are connected to the fuselage.Just aheads up :) :)BTW, awesome job on the aircraft!! Fix that tiny problem and it will probably be the best Payware aircraft EVER (so far).If you guys need pics to help locate what I am talking about I'd be happy to send them :)Thanks!!!!Shane

Bill, Jan & Roy,I've had my R4D-6 since it came out for FS2000, and I've upgraded it to fly in FS2002. Great plane! I am excited about the Gmax version that may be available soon. I have reviewed the new information you show on the MAAM site, but curious why the last page with 4 images just stops there....[http://internetwi.com/vtwin/r4d-6.jpg]I also wonder why my plane shows 'halo' type recognition lights in FS2002, and wonder if it can be fixed or do I need a later version?[http://internetwi.com/vtwin/r4d-6a.jpg]I downloaded the Briefing Time demo and it ROCKS! I have the two disk set ordered and can't wait for the 'whole 9 yards' to install.Keep up the GREAT work, …

I thought I saw an announcement yesterday that the B-25 was to continue the tradition of freeware. I think I saw that at flightsim.com. Then again that is Roy Chaffin. I suppose that is a different product?

Yikes almighty Bill, I thought the R4d was cool, this is something else !! I can't believe the textures you guys came up with. Also, if the flight model is as accurate as you guys say it is then the B-25 must be a blast to fly in real life.. Had a terrific feel. Baron sounds?? Yuk, but I heard the startup wave in the sound folder.. Can't wait for my combo pack to arrive.. GET THEM OUT THE DOOR BILL.... Mike B.

She hasn't touched down, yet. But, our B-25J Mitchell, modeled on the museum's fully restored 'Briefing Time' will be available SOON! There will be a full explanation of all the features on the MAAM webpages within the next week. I'll let you know here when those are posted so you don't have to look every five minutes. There will also be an announcement on the AVSIM front page, so don't worry about missing it.We'll also let you know when the URL is set up to order the CD, or the download version. Please don;t tr to pre-order. The museum is not set up for it, yet, and it will just cause the volunteers extra work. It won;t move you ahead of anyone, either, because yo…

hello,I have download the preview version of your b25 "Briefing Time" but you talk about a 16mo free manual(on the readme and your website) and I can't find b25 manual on maam-sim website. Could you host it or send it to avsim library?Could you tell us how long will it be to have the manual? Take the time you need, it's just to have the information :)I fly one time with the b25 and it's a beautiful plane(I think I will use it a lot in my fs2002). I will soon send you the cd request(with the 10$ other cd)I hope you will sell(and me buy) a lot of others vintage planes, as the b25,in order to help to help to the day to day life of maam flying museum.Bye milliotsebfrance

Here's something to keep you occupied until the postman cometh. :-)The full software manual for 'Briefing Time' is in the Avsim library, filename: "btmanual.zip" Releasing the manual first was not a diabolical scheme to force more people to read my scribblings :-wink2 It just sort of worked out that way! The Download version of the "bt" package will be the aircraft only and will not be available until March 1. So, even if you are waiting for it (why?) rather than oredering the CD, you will need the manual, so go get it now, gang. Bill Rambow MAAM-SIMhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif

Just downloaded the trial. Unbelievable. Will be ordering the CD on payday. There are very few add on that are this quality at any cost. I purchased a CD for the MAAM DC3 for FS2000, and was not disappointed then. Breifing Time will be as good in FS2k2 as the NATS DC3 was in previous FS. Probably better. Very nice gentlemen.Wes

Just ordered the CD combo pack. Didn't need the media pack, but it's a good cause.. Can Bill or anyone tell me if the media CD has a "cockpit ride along" in it?? Flight viewed from the cockpit would be killer!! I got a ride in a B26 once and had to sit on the accumulator tank behind the co-pilot, what a thrill.. A B25 on one wing and a P-40 on the other. Only a 15 minute out and back ride but what a thrill.. Mike B. Proud MAAM supporter.. (As opposed to an atheltic supporter)
