The last leg:-Well, my boring trip from Mexico City to San Diego is over -- but not with out some excitement. Ran out of fuel at 7,500 feet above Lindbergh Field and came in dead stick even with the "Ferry Tank" installed. Greased it into the ocean lined up on Final with the runway within 100 yards of the field and the B-25 just settled down and floated. Hope the tugs and rescue equipment get here pretty soon. Not sure how deep the water is -- but she didn't keel over and sink. Only needed another 2 or 3 gallons of AVGas. The B-25J glides like a homesick rock.If she starts to sink there is a good chance I can swim the distance. So close and yet so far.Footnote: The B25J…

Q-16 How do you move from one virtual section to the next in the b-25j? the manual shows picture's but it only refers you to the knee board (f10)I've tried eveything no go. I'm running in the full mode (from the cd) and have tried this on both fs2002 and fs2004. every thing else works great gears windows hatch, etc.the virtual cockpit is great ,just no nose section or topgun section in vc

Hi all,After downloading the FS9 update and reading the readme I noticed that Jan Rosenberg is working on some 'special'effects like a couple of water bomber effects. Does this mean you guys are working on a firebomber version of the B-25J MITCHELL?I really hope so. It would be a great tribute to all those pilots/firemen who gave their lives for the sake of our security and welbeing.Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. I just finished watching the 'Top 100 books' program on the BBC. One of the reviews was for Catch-22 and the book's sponser, the political reporter, John Sargeant was doing an awful lot of flying in a familiar looking B-25J ;). Footage from the bomb-aimer and gunner positions aplenty. :9Sure enough, when the B-25J landed and swung around, there was the 'Briefing Time' signature in full view. Sweet!. :-lolMade me realise just how good the MAAM FS version is...and how far there still is to go to get MS Flight Sim 'As good as it gets"!:-rollCheers:-waveSatchmo

Upgrade works perfect ,even the fssoundDLL 1.6 .(running in win xp pro), there is only one small problem Im still having. When pulling back the power to 35" and 2400rpm from TO power there is no audible change to the engine rpms, this did not occur in fs2002. does anyone else have this problem? I dont hear an engine tone change till I go back to around 27" or 2200 rpm other than this its just as good as in fs2002.

Gentlemen:Before the BT upgrade to FS2004, whenever I would start FS2004, there would be a message regarding the possible conflict of third party software. In particular, it referenced FSSound .dll.After installing the upgrade, the message no longer appears. That in itself is good news, however I now when I choose the Historic Jetliners Group DC8 with their special panel, i get an the dreaded"this program has performed an illegal operation and will now close". In the details, it says the problem is with the FSSound.dllHas the BT upgrade changed the FSSound .dll in any way that would cause this as it has only been happening since i upgraded Briefing Time to FS 2004Thanks f…

Hi;Don't know if anyone else has had this - but after installing the upgraded BT - when I "S" to the external view to pan around the aircraft - it no longer has that smooth, "elastic" feel. It stops dead when I let go of the hat switch. The previous "config"? felt as if it had a sort-of overshoot; when you released the hat - it carried on for a second or so. How would the addition of an upgraded aircraft affect all my aircraft?Puzzled.. Thanks for the help in advance.PJ

At long last, the free upgrade of BT for FS9 is done and uploaded. Get it from the library and enjoy. Be sure to read the read_me.txt for some important details, in particular the included glass fix that users of some of the newer video cards will want.Oh, and did I mention that the BAre-Metal version for FS9 is also up? :-) Give me a couple hours and I'll try to get the new Falcon gunship uploaded, too. Many thanks to my partners and to the BTBT for their hard work.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Hamblyhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif

Hi GuysFirstly, thanks for the upgrade it is nice to be flying BT again.I do however have a strange problem, when flying in VC mode the cockpit surround (ie the padded strip) and some controls (eg magneto switches) will completely disappear. They reappear when scrolling left or right and then disappear again when looking straight ahead. Usually they reapear of their own accord towards the end of the flight. My system is;P4 2.0 ghtz1gb Rd ramNvidea Ti 4600Any ideas? Thanks Steve

I have the FS2002 Briefing Time and it works fine in FS2002. After loading it in FS9 and starting BT, I get the usual error message on loading the FSSound.dll module where I respond with a YES to load the module. The plane will run fine as long as I do not change views via the S key. Almost always a view change will cause a horrible sound to begin, a static filled unending series of explosion like sounds that boom and fade every 2 seconds. Is this problem one that will be fixed with the FS9 upgrade? Some PC specs: 2.8 MHz PC running Windows XP, 500mb Ram, Sound Blaster Live! card, nVidia TI4600 display card, Logitech Wingman connected via the sound card.Jim Jones

It is with great sadness that I pass on news I just received from MAAM President Russ Strine by phone. Pete Malashevitz, the MAAM Program Coordinator, has passed away very suddenly of a massive heart attack. Pete was a good personal friend and the man who handed me the keys to the R4D those years ago when I first walked in the door at MAAM looking for a DC-3 panel to photograph. Pete's loss will leave a huge hole in the heart of the organization, as he was the day to day conductor of operations in the office and master organizer of the World War II Weekend show and Planes, Trains and Automobiles, as well as the other functions run by MAAM. When I learn of funeral arrang…

Looks great Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait to fly her again. Was wondering if the sound fix from Mike Hambly will be incorporated into the patch. The link is broken and unfortunately I lost my copy in a recent HDD crash. From Mikes post:I have checked all the wavs in BT. The power wav your having problems with does have a slight buzz. I have now fixed the problem and will post a link to the two wavs so that you may download them and try them out. I would be very interested to get feedback from those who have this problem. Please download from here.http://ftp.flightsimnetwork.com/BA_Crew/sc...ts/bt_patch.zipBest WishesMike HamblyThanks Chris Boyce

With the R4D installed in FS9 and while we are waiting for a REAL FS9 version, can we get some propellors for this plane? A VC would be nice but willing to do without for now. The flight characteristics are close enough for now, but really need some propellors! Thanks MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and HamblyDon Smith
