How to move panel to second monitor?

Featured Replies

I'm now running two monitors (lucky me). I can't find a way to detach the co-pilot view to move it over to the right, however - it will only slide up and down. In fact the same seems to be the case for all the pop-ups. Is there a way to move them sideways...? I can't find anything about this in the manual.

AFAIK the only way that you can move them to another monitor is by going to a "windows" screen (so no full-screen) - +. Then you can move the pop-ups. Then you can go back to full-screen again - but if your second monitor has another resolution than your first monitor, or you play MSFS in another resolution than your desktop, the screens suddenly are somewhere else than where you put them.FS2002 was easier in this regard.

No, that doesn't make any difference. I can still only slide them up and down, not sideways. In my other favourite, the Flight1 Cessna C421, I can take any of the pop-ups (in full screen or windowed mode) and slide them over onto the second monitor - the trick is to go part way, then turn them off and back on and hey presto there they are. But in the B-25 the problem is the windows cannot be moved SIDEWAYS. Is there a way to "unlock" them (and no, I don't mean "undock"), perhaps in the panel.cfg?

Perhaps you need to explain exactly how you are running the two screens.I run two monitors from the two outlets from my video card, and the only way to move a panel or pop-up is to Un-Dock it and then "slide it over". In my case FS is only displayed on the main screen, the second screen being used for the odd pop-up such as FSNavigator.Cheers,Alastair

The same - simply two monitors off an nVidia card. It seems BT just has really weird pop-ups, however, in that they each occupy a full window (most of which is black, i.e. transparent in MSFS). So if you run in windowed mode and undock, as you suggest, you can move one thing over, but not more than one because each takes up the whole screen and the black is NOT transparent one to the other. Run in full screen mode it is not possible to undock the pop-up windows and nor can you slide them across as you can with other a/c. It's just frustrating to have such an excellent model and not be able to spread it all out a bit!

Harvey: A member of this forum, Wallace, did a readjustment of the BT files. Send me an email, and if it is okay with him, I can send you the file. It is a 600kb file. It works!Jay
