This has to be simple guy's, but for whatever reason it has me stumped.Every time I fly the DC-3 in FSX, the logbook is classifying it as an amphibian, not a fixed wing. Where in the heck within the .cfg's can I fix this?I was racking up quite a few amphibian hours, to my surprise :D

For some reason I cannot load the B25J anymore. I can select the plane but when I hit the "Fly" button FS9 says it cannot find the MAMM-B25J.gau. It also tells me that that I can continue on with the flight sim but will not be able to load the B25J. I cannot continue. I'm locked out and have to start the "Task Manager" to close the program. I'm operating Vista Ultimate. Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated.

I just bought the MAAM DC-3 & C-47. I am very happy with the product. However, if I understood the manual correctly, I should be able to use the mouse to change throuttle, mixture, flaps settings in the virtual cockpit. Now, I can only use the autopilot from the VC using a mouse. A search of MAAM free stuff provided an updated cockpit for the C-47, where many more things are "clickable" than the DC-3 passenger model. Is there an updated DC-3 passenger VC model out there that I am missing, where more things are mouse clickable?I must confess, for me, flying a beautiful aircraft as the MAAM DC-3 is most enjoyable from the virtual cockpit, without popup windows.Thank …

I'm not going to lie, I had an extraordinary amount of ease installing and using the BT B-25j in FSX SP2 in Vista. It worked nearly flawlessly, even before teh compatibility patch. After the patch, it had a thumbnail, that was the only discernable differance. Now, I do have 2 questions concerning it: when I use the VC, my "pilot" is positioned underneath the plane itself, and looking up and back, I can see the rest of the plane... is there a quick fix for this? And also, after applying a differant propeller texture, I got the props lookin' REAL good in the game, but the autogen scenery and objects are "in front," of the props, when they should be seen through the pro…

For some reason the doors on the Maam Sim DC-3 have begun to snap closed a fraction of a second after they open. I am using FSX with service pack 2. I don't recall that being an issue previously and I am not sure what is causing it. Would appreciate any suggestions.Jack

I installed service pack 2 for FSX and now the VC in my Maam Sim DC-3 is useless. I can no longer see out of the cockpit windows. The regular cockpit is OK, but the VC has a blue/grey cast to the plexiglass and it appears to have a double layer. Is there a fix for this available? I tried a system restore, but that wiped out the ground textures. Overall, the graphics seem better, however I would like the VC back in the DC-3. Based on my experience it might be best to avoid service pack 2 until they get their act together better.

I thought I had this problem previously, and had it solved, however, it is back. Using the DC-3 with FSX at night, I have lost the panel lights in the VC.I would appreciate it if someone could reply with the fix, again..Thanks.

For those of you who prefer cold and dark starts, but were unable to do so after installing SP2/Acceleration, here is your fix.In Aircraft.cfg go to [piston_engine] and change this line:power_scalar=0.8xx (depending on package) topower_scalar=1.00Your engines will now start using the 2-D panels or crtl-E. Combining this with the provided texture and propeller patches and your babies should be running very smoothly.

Howdy, strangers...long time no see! Has a ski/wheel version of the DC3/R4D been discussed? For some reason I thought we had talked about it in the past ("A mind is a terrible thing to waste"). I may just be confused, however...again...;-) Vic

Thought I'd share this flight report ...I haven't fired up FS for over a year now what with one thing and another. I've kept reading forums (and buying add-ons :-) ) but never managed to find time for a flight.Well, tonight was the night that I was home with time up my sleeve so bullets were bitten and up came FS. Took me a few minutes to get enough controls working as I only plugged in the yoke, not the throttle and pedals, and then a few minutes more getting TrackIR up and running. ASX6 wasn't an issue - it just worked :-)What to fly ? Where to fly ? Well ... The default cessna came up, poised on the edge of a dark runway. First off I moved it to one of my local airp…

I just reinstalled the MAAM SIM DC-3 in FSX with the necessary patch for compatibility issues. Everything seems to work fine, but when I looked at the engines I could look right through them. I turned off the engines but the only thing I saw was the engine casing with nothing in it. The props actually do show. Is there a fix for this problem?I'm running FSX + Acceleration. Thanks for any help :) Ludo

Hi all,Sorry for the bother, but I am having to reinstall everything on my new PC. I have the 8th edition CD, which I know was for FS9 at the time. I had the MAAM R4D working under FSX SP1 on my old PC, but can't for the life of me remember what I had to do to get it FSX current. That hard drive is no more. I am not reinstalling FS9 again, so what is the easiest way for me to do this? Thanks.

I saw attached panel at DC-3 Airways. I was wondering if this panel belong MAAM-SIM. If it is,how can I download this panel. R4D panel is not the same on MAAM-SIM list of DC-3s.RegardsSanal

Please someone refresh my memory. It's been some time since I flew the B25 in FS2004 but I seem to recall that there was a view from the from & rear gun turrets. Don't recall how to do this view , please help.Jim

Since installing Acceleration, I have not been been able to start either the DC-3 (any variation) or the B-25. This includes cold starts and shutting down a running engine and attempting a restart. Has anyone had this happen or know a potential solution? Best Regards,John

Just bought B-25, looks good .I have no glass in VC cockpit .I tried the glass fix and in the right directory. XP sp2 FSX& Acceleration fixed props as per message below. Is there some way to get rid of the glass till there is a fix?
-
Hi Folks,Depending on your video card, users of the FS9 updated B-25 'Medium' and 'Light' complexity models might've noticed that the 'Glassfix. exe' doesn't exactly gets that perspex back into the canopy frames. If you use a Geforce3/4 or similar 'modern' video card and you want to give the pilots that protective perspex back : download 'bt_fs9glassfix_up.zip' which i just have uploaded here in the Avsim file library. It corrects a little glitch in the FS9 Update installation preventing the 'Medium' and 'Light' models to get their glass fixed when using 'Glassfix.exe'.After having installed this glassfix update be sure to run 'Glassfix.exe' again so it can do its work prope…

Hi allYesterday I finally got round to installing the DC3 into FSX (without Acceleration btw), as I now have the Saitek yoke with two throttle quadrants, so I can fly twin-engine props realisticly at last!It all seems to be working fine, except for a small problem. Please look at the gauges in the screenshot I've attached: Weird, huh?Does anyone have any idea what's gone wrong? Maybe I've missed something obvious, it's easy to lose track when installing into FSX, as I've collected so many different installers and patches etc. over the years, I'm not quite sure what's what :-) BestGrahame
