The B-25J in Vista/FSx SP2 an d a few other Q's

Featured Replies

I'm not going to lie, I had an extraordinary amount of ease installing and using the BT B-25j in FSX SP2 in Vista. It worked nearly flawlessly, even before teh compatibility patch. After the patch, it had a thumbnail, that was the only discernable differance. Now, I do have 2 questions concerning it: when I use the VC, my "pilot" is positioned underneath the plane itself, and looking up and back, I can see the rest of the plane... is there a quick fix for this? And also, after applying a differant propeller texture, I got the props lookin' REAL good in the game, but the autogen scenery and objects are "in front," of the props, when they should be seen through the props, I was wondering if there's a fix for that, as well. As, once those are fixed, my B-25 pack will work absolutely flawlessly! And, also, when you re-release the B-25j for FSx, will you be doing a free upgrade to current owners of BT or will we have to buy another one? (Can't say I'd particularly mind spending more money on such a good cause, but I'm'a cheapie!) and will the TBM Avenger be available for FS2004 or FSX?

Hi Thomme,Hmm, have never heard that one before! Why your pilot's default viewpoint has been altered is a complete mystery to me. Maybe someone else can come up with a solution. Are your 2D views OK?You can try experimenting with the {Views} eyepoint coordinates in the Aircraft.cfg using trial and error, but this will also effect the carefully coordinated 2D views which would then each have to be readjusted in the Panel.cfg. Good luck! The FSX versions for the R4D and B-25 will be new products with a lot of original work in them so they will not be free upgrades. No form pricing or discount decisions have been made at this point. We may take some hits for being greedy capitalists, but as you point out, it's a good cause. The Avenger will initially be for FS9 with a later release for FSX.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Yeah, after some trial and error and installs and reinstallations, (it was actually a second installation of the FSX compatibility pack) it worked for me. It's a beatiful, beatiful plane, and I'm glad you guys did it. But, I guess I also have a couple more questions: the TBM, will the tordepo doors be functional on that plane? I recall in CFS2, the TBM having functional torpedo doors. As well, would you be willing to make B-25's of any other designation than J for FSx? I know that you guys want to try and keep the planes relevent to your museum (which looks spectacular, by the way! If I'm ever in Penn. again, I'll definately give you guys a holler), but I'd love to see some B-25B's in there (my personal favorite variation).
