Hi all,Searched all over. When starting FS9 I get a screen asking if I want to load the sound DLL. (Only since I have installed Maamsim DC3 package). I remember seeing some comment that there is a workaround that prevents this screen from displaying. I imagine the dll will load automatically with the workaround. Any help will be appreciated.TheunsAnd as allways .... 15 minutes after posting this I found it.

Scanning the CD I bought some time ago my AVAST antivirus tells me there is a virus like Win32-Adware-gen (Adw) in the file R4DC3FS9.exeWhat can I do?Thanks very much

When RD4 1st came out i bought it way back when. Now i just bought it for FSX. I just finished watching most of the videos and am impressed. Here's what i'm writing about. I'm making the transition from the Cessna 172 ( real world ) to the Cessna 210. The engineer is giving me training on proper engine management and is real fussy and hard on me to do it right which i like cause i am getting some real good training and he has showed me a pile of jugs in the garbage can at 1,100 bucks a jug cause of improper engine management and said " you pilots don't fool us , we know how you fly when we do inspections". I'm currently finalizing a re-paint of the TBM-3 in the colors of the CAF Rocky Mountain Squadron's Avenger. I've attached a screen cap of the plane as it is right now.The problem is I've been "scooped" by Todd Disrud, who's posted a different version of the same paint scheme. Mine is NOT based on Mr. Disrud's USS Bunker Hill work, all the panel lines were drawn by hand by me, based on one of the default TBM-3 textures, and the colors I used are based on photos of the real aircraft and are much brighter than wartime. However I understand that there might be a conflict if I post my work, since we're both painting the same squadron.My questions are: is there any interest…

I have not been on this forum for quite a while, because my gooney birds were not loaded, due to issues, like Vista and FSx. Any way I reloaded, and followed the instructions and all went well, until I found I could not start some of the aircraft, namely from the C-47's to the DC-3's. All the R4D's and the XC-47,s start with both control E and with the check list. I read the threads about frame rates, however in my case I have them locked at 30, but I did lower them even further to see if that might still be the problem, but No Joy! there.I found that the start sequence using control-E is some how different on the ones that do not start then those that do ie the generator…

Hi to all. I am right now flying the World Rally 2008 and using the MAAM-SIM DC-3 with Mark's alternative panel. I am using the timer for my time and the digital fuel gauge for my fuel used. I do not know where my problem is but my fuel used is coming out as half of what it should be. The way I check it is clicking on fuel used and I thought that would give my total.I did flight 03 and 04 of the World Rally and these are the numbers:03 was 209 miles with heavy winds, it took me 110 minutes and the gauge read 94 gallons used.04 was 121 miles and some winds, it took me 55 minutes and the gauge read 46 gallons used.In both cases I tried to keep my speed close to 140 knots wh…

Hi guys! I have installed the midway and coral sea addons from the MAAM site and all the ships are there but the Japanese fleet ships have no textures.The American ships are ok,all the aircraft look ok but no textures on the japanese ships. I installed all 5 pakages according to the MAAM site directions(at least I think so!) Also when i try to locate the fleets in the GO TO AIRPORTS I can not find them.According to directions they should be under UNITED STATES-MIDWAY ISLANDS,but Ican not find them that way.Any help or suggestions welcome. Hello, I purchased MAAM DOUGLAS R4D DC-3 C-47 download version yesterday and installed it and the fsx patch just as the instructions said to. the plane works well in 2d cockpit and with external views but when in the VC my frame rates plummet to 1 fps making the plane virtually unflyable. my system is Toshiba laptop, 1.86ghz CPU, 2gig ram, nvidia 6600 gpu with 64mb ram. plenty frame rates everywhere but the VC. any help appreciated. A couple of days ago, I installed a new Seagate 1TB SATA drive on my Vista system. Then, using Acronis True Image Home ver. 11, I cloned my [old] C: Seagate 250G SATA drive (completely full) and transferred everything over to the new, 1TB drive (now my new C:).Everything worked perfectly as far as I have been able to determine so far. Except for one thing. Oddly, now I have no scenery viewable through the VC in FSX! Just a sky blue color. Scenery IS viewable in the 2d CP and all other views!This was not happening before the cloning procedure on my old HDD. I have the all the MAAM DC-3's C-47's and B-25's installed and running great in FSX SP-1I have not flown the NATS RD4-6 yet (don't know why) and when I load the aircraft the top observaton bubble glass/plexiglass doe nor appear at all, it's missing.AGAIN this is not happening in the C-47's theu also have a bubble and the glass is all ok in my Mitchells for that matter.I checked the aircraft.cfg for the R4D-6 version and it indicates theat it is for the FSX upgrade, the plane flies ok and loads its just miising the one texture...Any idea why and how to fix this. On August 31st, I purchased the Download Version of the MAAM DC-3/C-47, but never received an email confirmation, nor the promised download link!I've sent two emails to the Contact MAAM link on their homepage, but have received no response. I've also sent an email to the "Webmaster" of the MAAM site, but again, no response!I am not a happy camper at this point! Some of us have encountered a problem using the procedures outlined in the manual for a cold start. Setting the switches and controls in the proper position and going thru the Prime, Start, Vibrator sequence, the engine tries to start but will not turn over and run. The MP gauge drops down from the barometric pressure, and the RPM begins to increas, but then it stops and returns to the cold off position. To clarify: 1. Battery on 2. Gen on. 3.Ignition Switch on and Mags on both. 4. Fuel on. 5. Mixture in Full Rich. 6. Throttle cracked approx 1/2 to 3/4 inch. I hope someone has come up with a fix for this.Jesse

I have downloaded the five files for the Battle of Midway and Coral Sea and also to file dsd arrester zone.ini but this last file I am not sure what to do with or where to put and nothing in the zip package tells me.Could someone please let me know what I am suppose to do with this file . I am under the impression it is used so that you can land and take off from the carriers. Don
