Wondering:How the catapult cables attach to the Avenger?How the cables are released from the Avenger after launch?What happens to the catapult shuttle at the end of its travel?

What is happening guys, has this project been forgotten or cancelled? :(

I just downloaded and installed SP 1 for the Avenger and was happy that FS 9 no longer crashes when I change to different versions of the Avenger. However, I have noticed that the SimIcons for the electrical panel, throttle quadrant, and right, center, and left panel views no longer work. Has anyone else experienced this.Gary

I have noticed that on some of my DC-3 aircraft there is an "open" gap betwwen props and engine. Is there a fix for this? It seems to appear on on the commercial DC-3.

I have downloaded the stuff for Avenger (in FSX) and the cockpit glass is the only bad part, I can not see through it. Is there a texture I might have missed. I just got the sp1 update. I have searched the forum for this issue and could not find an answer. Sorry if I missed it and this has been answered already.

All aircraft (types) landing on the Langley will have a different "cockpit" (ASL) altitude. COP's Arrester Zone or Catapult zone:CarrierIdent=USS Langley CVL-27 for example.RunwayHeadingInDegreesMag=150DeckAltInFeet=53I noticed that 53 feet is the TBM-3 Avengers cockpit (ASL) altitude for launch and trap.So, the deck altitude of the Langley should be less.The deck altitude should be a constant for the arrester/cat zones for all aircraft types.Otherwise, there would have to be a different arrester / cat zone defined for each aircraft type.So the question is.Is the DeckAltInFeet value (accuracy) used for calculations or events in the simulation?

Hello,I have the new TBM - AWSOME!1. Are there more carriers in the package than the one in the flight selection?2. I have 3Wire in my FS9 sim. I tried the TBM but the catapult makes the TBM jump up and the TO is into the sea! Is there some setup for the TBM that I must do to use 3WIRE? Hi,I use FSPanel Studio to try to remove sperry and add default FS9 autopilot.But when the AP is on and the DC-3 is turning, it just uses rudder to turn, causing serious uncoordinated turn. Did I make something wrong? Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.TCC0928

I just purchased a new PC with Windows 7 so therefore I had to re-install the MAAM DC-3. Here is my problem, I can't get the engines to autostart once I turn them off whereas I could before. Any help would be appreciated.

When pressing Esc, when wanting to exit flight the screen freezes and the screen that should show 'do you want to quit FSX' menu moves to the lower right corner of the screen, and no selection button to quit FSX shows, just the outline of menu screen shows. Need to start Task Manager and then select End Task. Then a message dialog, 'there has been a fatal error in FSX, searching for a solution'. No other message dialog appears after searching for solution, then the FSX menu screen loads and then can quit from there. All other planes in FSX work and no screen freeze or other errors quitting FSX. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Installed the FSX patch for B-25 '…

Recently, In Microsoft flight simulator X, I have installed MAAMSIM DOUGLAS R4D, DC-3, C-47 FOR FS2004 which is download version.The picture show you my Installation files. But when I select a aicraft, the aircraft's model will be occur such a problem. I've searched the forums and found out that the only way to get engines to start if they don't in the first place is to lock fps at 25 or 30. Has there been any other fixes that have been discovered? Very strange that this problem was never patched. Engine starts works perfectly at 30fps, but having to go limit fps just for engine start then set it back every time really takes away from the realism and joy of the plane.Thanks ahead of time.

First, I must say that the DC-3 is really a well-done airplane and I like the zoomed IFR panels.I tried doing some partial panel flights with the artificial horizon and heading indicator disabled, but then I noticed that the turn coordinator does not operate as expected. It does not display an accurate 2 minute turn. Instead, it seems to display the bank angle so that low speed will cause the turn to be way too fast.I am using FSX and Windows 7, maybe this causes this behaviour but I would really appreciate some advice how to solve this. Replacing the turn coordinator with one of the default turn coordinators looks quite strange.

Flight sim file libraries offer numerous re-paints of the MAAM R4D/DC-3/C-47 aircraft. Most of these that I have found are for FS2004(ACOF)/FS9; only a few are designed for FSX.The MAAM aircraft models are also designed for FS9, but the handy converter package they offer guides you through converting the FS9 intstallation for FSX users. This works just fine: I enjoy the nice collection of MAAM R4D/DC-3/C-47 airplanes in my FSX setup.Now, I would like to adapt some of those FS9 DC-3 re-paints that are freely available to my FSX MAAM DC-3 installation. Guidance or references on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,Maybe I have misunderstanding about tail wheel lock.Here is the picture which my DC-3's tail wheel is unlocked --- It IS unlocked, right? (tail wheel unlocked.jpg)Then, at that moment, my tail wheel lock is pushed in, which is like throttle.jpg.But this seems to be contrary to the manual, r4d_man.pdf, p.31. The manual's picture says the pushed in position means "locked". Did I make something worng?I used key command (F11,12) to control and did not use aircraft.cfgES file.Thanks.TCC0928

After some time of using the MAAM DC3 without a problem, my trim wheel no longer works. It doesn't move at all either by mouse or keys. All it now does is vibrate around the zero mark. I've tried reinstalling the package, but it comes out the same. Any help? I have FSX + Accel, Vista 64.

The engine sounds for the c47 are missing from the cockpit view when looking straight forward after upgrading OS from vista to Windows 7. I can hear switches operate and wind noise when flying, but I can not hear the engines. Anyone have any idea what happened or how to fix. I can hear the engine if I look to the left or right. I am running fsx.

I just purchased the MAAM-SIM DC-3 package over the weekend. BEAUTIFUL! I should have done this a long time ago. There are several repaints available, and I would like to do a few of my own, that require a left side passenger door, a passenger interior and wouldn't have the celestial viewing dome on top. Is there a model that fits this description? I could use the R4D version but that has the dome and the textures don't align on the repaints made for the DC-3 cargo model. Is there a model I haven't looked at closely enough? Thanks.
