Hi all,While installing FSX on new rig, I crossed an "old" BT-B25 disc I bought for FS2002 long time ago. Now I saw in MAAM's site that there are patches for FS2002-> FS9-> FSX but it's clear to me how to perform the upgrade sequence? Where to install the original CD? where to install the patches since the FS2002/FS9/FSX folders are not alike!I really want to fly again this great a/c I so loved in FS2002. Seems it's been 2 years or so and I remember it was being worked on around FS9. I believe Ron Hagen made it. There are several pictures of the model at hovercontrol.com and the detail is outstanding, even the interior. It's a shame it's never been released. Anyone have a clue if it's still being worked on or is it VaporWare? I just bought the download B25 (FSX), and I'm trying to get the manual to work. I got the HTML in one download and the JPG files in another, but the installation instructions are confusing since they assume I have the CD. I have ended up with all the HTML and JPGs in the same folder, but when I load the index page all I get is a blank page with a line of icons across the top. Only the Help icon does anything (and it's not the kind of help I need!)Any ideas? I'm using Firefox if that's relevant.

Hi Bill, Remember me from not so good (right now) UK? I have had the B25 for FS2002 for some time now and I have applied the FS9 update. It is a wonderful simulation as all MAAM aircraft are. However I am having trouble restarting the engines once I have cut them by setting the Mixture to Idle Rich. Once they have stopped turning I press the usual Ctrl + E or I have a yoke button mapped to the same and all that happens is the port engine turns over but won't catch and run. Just occasionally I manage to get the port engine running only to find the starboard one then won't start. Other twin engined aircraft do start ok. The only way I can restart them is to select the aircr…

Anyone know if this semi-official add-on for the MAAM-SIM FS9 package is still alive? Also, does anyone know if the Dave Bitzer and Mark Beaumont MAAM/Default FS9 DC-3 mods work in FSX?

Hi,A small problem with the CD I was sent, it wouldn't automatically run, citing a missing "Index.htm" file.Opening the CD and running the appropriate EXE (for FS2004 in my case) did run the installation, however. This is on a WindowsXP SP3 system.Not a big deal for me, but you may want to keep an eye on whether this happens for anyone else.Cheers,Alastair

Well, I see over at FlightSIM a new version was released.I purchased Briefing Time 6th Ed.on May 29. Is there any way of getting the 7th ed. without another purchase? Hi, The Briefing Time flights has a conflict that causes an error when loading the flight. It is Briefing Time in the flight but 'Briefing Time' in the aircraft config. I fixed it for my program by simply removing the two ' but others might not know how so I thought you'd like to know about it.Rich

I recently downloaded the Version 7, B25. from MAAM and I am very disappointed with this Sim. Yes, there are more goodies and features than previous versions, and I realize this is a ' Port Over' but to me it's not not worth the money The textures are blurrey and not good. The Pilots are very unreal and unnatural. Where there should be roundish edges they are rectangular.. Despite using the Manual I cannot get the Pilots window to close. On engine startup, there is no prop movement until the engine in running--- no motion on Mesh engagement, the engines go from stop to running in one movement. Once airborne the A/C is okay, but in my opinion this Sim is not…

Hi, I have the MAAM DC-3 and am looking to possibly purchase the Avenger and B-25 packages over the next month or two so I've been looking around the site.I noticed the Midway and Coral Sea links are dead. The Yanko link works but their links are dead. They all go to what looks like a Japanese site called Flight Info and I don't see any download links to the scenery.Also I was wondering if you will be offering the B-25 media disk as a download. It's only 700 meg and I much prefer that method.Thanks very much.

Hi all,Do we know what the MAAM-SIM DC-3 has for an "Empty Weight"? (That is the weight to which one adds oil, fuel, crew, and payload.) In my installment (purchased circa 2004) all the DC-3s and C-47s have an empty weight of 19,021 pounds. Also, the pdf manual has that number as well. Other MAAM-SIM DC-3 owners report that they have an Empty Weight of 16,125 pounds. This number matters for how one loads the aircraft. (The internet-published numbers typically look more like 16,125. Greetings...Decided to install my FS9 version of the TBM into FSX.Had no trouble downloading TBM_SP1 from "Free Stuff".However, when attempting to extract from the zip file I get an error message for each file.The msg:Error 0x80004005: unspecified errorI am given 3 options by the error window (am using W7 64 bit)Try Again, Skip, CancelTry Again > same msgSkip > goes through each file in the zip to be extracted but doesn't extract files, only foldersCancel > cancels the operationAny thoughts/suggestions?ThanksRoy Marsh

I have an interesting problem I'm not having much success resolving. When flying Briefing Time in FSX I lose about 5 fps when my mouse pointer disappears. If I move my mouse the framerate goes up again till my pointer automatically hides in 20 seconds or so. This does not occur with native FSX aircraft, but does occur with one of my other add-on aircraft. I have been trying to figure out how to prevent my mouse pointer from auto-hiding in the game, but have had no luck locating the applicable code in the game config file, aircraft config file, or in Nvidia card settings, or mouse settings. Just purchased this plane the other day for FS2004, this is by FAR one of the best payware planes I've added to my FS hanger. It is such a joy to fly. The big planes with all the fancy FMC and autopilot business are nice but once you get the FMC set you just sit back and wait to land. THIS PLANE is hands on the entire way, I LOVE IT.In the download it came with water skis. Is there a place to download snow skis like the ones used on ICE PILOTS?Thank you and thanks again for such a great plane.

First off: I absolutely looove my Avenger! Two things I was thinking about the other day. 1. Are there editvoicepack files available for this aircraft? I know that there's a "Grumman" already out there. I'd be interested in "Avenger" "TBF"and "TBM" files. I have neither the equipment nor the talent or I'd do it myself. If they don't exist is anybody up for making them? 2. What about a second crew member for the Avenge? Small things, I know, but either (or both) would improve an already excellent sim experience. LA

Hello, When the Avenger first came out, it worked perfect on my old Win XP machine. I did not bother with the update.Now I have a new computer with Win 7, and cannot load the Avenger, in FS9, crashes to desktop, unless I remove the panel.I tried the link for the service pack update and it is dead.How can I get the update?Thanks Bob.

I have been using the Maam c-47 and B-25 in windows xp. I now use windows 7 and neither airplane is coming up in Fs2004 inventory. [email protected]

I loking for performance chart R4D/DC-3/XC-47C (particularly for r4d) like climb rate, fuel consumption ect. I know ther are in maam web site some manuals/ instructions but there are from real airplane. Thear are correct to simulator? Also thear are illegible. Maybe a more modern version (to print them, mayby in Excel or openoffice.math?).I'm flying with FsPassengers and trying to fly as smooth as possible. PS.I can't start the engines at low temperaturs manualy (but with PC can). What is the procedure for starting those beauties in the winter?

Hi everybody! I downloaded the panel from Mark Beaumont ( DCAMAAM4.ZIP ) and everything works fine in FSX,SP2 but when I am in the air for a while my autopilot buttons disconnect (NAV,HDG) and I have to reset them. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!RegardsRainer

When closing a flight from any of the Briefing Time paint jobs and using end flight button in FSX the FSX screen moves to the bottom right of the screen and unable to close FSX unless using Task Manger, End Task. Installed the FSX Basic Compatibility Update also. After using Task Manager, End Task, Windows looks for a problem and reopens FSX and can close FSX normally. OS Windows 7 64 professional. No other aircraft causes this issue when closing a flight.

I decided to copy my FS9 Avenger over to FSX and see how it flies (I have seen others flying it in FSX). So I copied it over there along with the gauges, effects, sound, etc and the FSX fix I found at the MAAM site. When I start up FSX and go to the aircraft list and pick one of the Avengers to load it into a flight it crashes FSX. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix? (I am using DX9)

Dear fellows,taxi on gravel with my istalled DC3 sometime is a pain, I understand that rolling on tarmac is one thing and that grass and gravel is another. Though, everytime I need to taxi on that kind of "pavement", the machine want a MP 40, even 45" to start and a good 30 - 35" to taxi. Isn't a little too much? My question is if there's a way to edit the airplane adesion. I feel it like rolling with almost no pressure in the tires.I've searched around but it seems that none have this problem.Thank you.

Hello MAAMFirst of all, I am a great fan of your marvelous plane, wich i know closely from real life - the Danish OY-BPB - from my home airport EKRK where it is not belonging.After installing the new FSX version, i removed the yokes to get a little work space "at the office" but noticed that even the yokes where gone, the shadow still remains, meaning the instruments below are still obscured. Any attempt to click on the radios in the MAAM rd4 or Briefing time results in an immediate freezing and shutdow of FSX. SP2 is installed.If I set the radio frequencies in another plane, non MAAM, then transfer back the radios work OK and the FSX shows no distress.This problem appeared suddenly without any discernable cause. Radios worked fone for years.I uninstalled and reinstalled SP2 without any result.Any ideas?HP
