Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations User-to-User Support

Three times I have attempted a flight from Nome to Deadhorse. After about 30 minutes, I lose manifold pressure. I have tried everything I can think of: carb heat is on; de-icing equipment is on. I have tried restarting the engines. Nothing seems to help. Is there a secret to keeping the engines lit up in extreme cold?

I have BT v-7. some of the aircraft included are blured at the insignia and nose art. These planes include......Briefing time painted, Briefing time bare metal, Tondelayo, Lazy Daisy Mae, Mimi, Tea time want some, Tokyo Rose, Bitemintheas, Chowhound Junior, Pannel Job, Dragon, Watch out Sally, Angel of Mercey, Tuskegee, Nip Clipper, Lady Jean, Burma Bridge Buster, Lady Luck, Nocturnal Blues, Meet Miss Runyon, Killer B, The Little King, Bottoms Up II, Gunship Barbie III, Burma Queen, Gunship Sag Harbor Express, Gunship No 199, Gunship Tiger Lil, Pbj-1j Bite Me. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem.

Hi Bill.Have tried to download the picts i have from my flight. Left Santa Maria Island just after sunrise. stoped in a couple small runways as i headed up the slot. Landed at Cook field....Have a couple great shots coming in for landing( forgot to turn on landing lights though). Have some shots with B25 over water and Islands in back ground. Made strip where Cyclops is....Sadly Cyclops claimed one more aircraft.! Denver Dumper rests about half way up. Next time i will use full throtle to get over top. Anyways. was unable to get them downloaded. But will keep trying. Amanda.

Guys: I purchased my MAAM DC-3 a few months back. It came with the auto-install feature. It's really great, except for one apparent glitch: The landing lights turn on from the overhead panel, but they don't illuminate the ground in front of the aircraft. The "native" FSX DC-3 lights up the front of the airplane OK. The Cessna 208 is killer! I'd like to go down to the field late one night with a phillips screwdriver and install the landing lights from that Cessna into my MAAM DC-3! Any thoughts or ideas? Seeya ATB

For years II ran FS9 MAAM DC3 without any problem. Now that I bought a new Windows 7 computer I keep getting errors only in the MAAM aircraft. Specifically I get this: "gauges\maam_r4d.gau is incomparable and aircraft will not load"Anyone also have this problem and maybe know of a fix. I am running fs9 in x86 mode.Thanks!

Hi,During engline start, in the film(start.wmv), we count the numbers of blades...1. What is the blade here refering to?2. Here pilot says to count 8 blades, but he primes 12 times, why?Thanks for your reply.Regards,TCC0928

hey all, ive had the 25 now for a while, but ive noticed that when in spot view (outside), the startup sounds dont work, it just goes right to idle...now on the interior, it works fine and you can hear those 2600"s fire up. how do I get the external start sounds to work? the files are there but nothing plays.

Any possibility of releasing 24-bit templates (same type as DC-3) for the "all theaters" and "D-Day" expansion packs? I noticed the folowing statement listed under MAAM-SIM DC-3 REPAINT TEMPLATES, "Please note that further templates will be issued to complement any future versions of the MAAM-SIM model. The intention is that those templates can be added to this base 'paint-kit' folder, the methodology and basic instructions being similar for all paints. Where changes to the model invoke changes in texture mapping or other differences, this will be noted with each new package provided". Hopefully this also applies to the C-47 side of the house. Hi,According to the checklist, before touch down, we set RPM to 2050---except missed approach, 2550.Why not set 2550 or "the hightest" before touch down, like many other propeller aircrafts do? Thank you.Best Regards,tcc0928

Hallo,I have the following small problem.After installation of the 10th edition of the DC3/R4D in FSX i found at the R4D and DC3 BEA and UAl and OY-BPB when in VC mode that the elevator trim wheel turns to the opposite way when you trim the aircraft so fwd up / aft down.And also the elevator trim wheel turns very slow comparing to the other aircraft and at the R4D it does turns very very slow till almost not. (AP off)In the other aircrafts the elevator trim wheel turns to the correct way fwd down / aft up and turns normal speed.This is also the case in FS9 with the same aircraft.I check the forum but i can not find this problem so is there perhaps a fix for it or is this …

For BT fsx v7. Here is the easiest fix for all the Briefing time textures in the free stuff downloads.....Very simple and works with great results.Copy only the textures for the outside of the aircraft.(see example) to a new folder. Hi,I puchased the B-25 add on for Microsoft Flight Simulator a few years ago and I am trying to install it on my new computer with MFS 04. It says that it has been downloaded but when I run MFS 04 it doesn't show up under my aircraft. Any ideas?Kevin

But the time has finally come...I think.I've read about other packages having problems running in Windows 7, especially the 64-bit version. (I'm still lamenting the loss of my favorite GA machine, the Dreamfleet Archer III, since I "upgraded" to 64-bit). There seem to be some problems with the MAAM DC-3, too. Hi allI've ported my FS9 R4D over to FSX and have applied the FSX textures, but the windows are still opaque - I cannot see through them. Have a missed a fix?Eric

Can anyone tell me if the transparency fix for FSX, will work with added aircraft to the B-25 V7 download. Have some other paints installed but have black instead of windows in cockpit view.If not can this window problem be fixed?

The Maam-Sim Upgrade site has a file for download "FSX TRANSPARENCY FIX FOR FSX SP2/ACCELERATION" this file was issued to correct the glass and prop issues. After downloading I found that all 5 bmp's pertained to the glass problem none for the prop problem.Would anyone have an idea as to where one could find the file for correcting the prop issue?Thanks, Baran

I D/Led and installed the MAAM.org scenery for Normandy Cemetery per the instructions provided. When I restarted FS09 I received the message saying new scenery files were being loaded. However I can not find the scenery or a flight anywhere in FS09. Any help?

If NOT, do something about it, or else within 5 min. disaster strikes.BUT to set the right cruise,-power settings of the aircrafts, takes a lot I-net searching.Where can I obtain power- cruise settings from MAAM Douglas R4D-6, C47 and Lockheed Vega, Connie, L10E.The USAF T.O. 1C-47 (1963, 1965) Flight manual will give a lot of info. After many hours of tinkering with Windows 7's....idiosyncrasies...I finally got it to recognize my Devil Dog (MAAM's 'Briefing Time' with my beloved Devil Dog repaint). My DC3/RD4 package is installed in C/programfiles(X86) microsoft games/Flightsimulator X/sim objects/Airplanes. When I direct the installation of the updates I get the message that the original package is not there. The installer refuses to work.I know it can be done because one or two of the planes are working with transparent glass. I'm trying to get the rest to work as well. I did a complete reinstall from the CD.Any suggestions.

Hi. I decided to fire up the BT (I have the 2002 diosk version) for FSX. Carefully followed the instructions in the FSX patch (since I have the 2002 version, I patched to FS9, then applied the FSX patch).BUT when I click on the BT icon in Free Flight, the BT plane is GREYED OUT! And when I click anyway to start the flight, it is greyed out in the sim and crashed FSX. I HAVE followed the install instructions carefully. A grey out plane means an issue with texture shader. Right? Pls help. Running Win 7 (saw the topic on Win 7, FSX and BT on this forum page...but could not work out what the guy was saying...)...Service pack 2 etc.apoll

Have installed texture folder of repaints from Air Colombia, Aerovanguardia and Sadelca into the MAAM SIM DC-3 Cago folder and added the respective text into the aircraft.cfg file, but the planes are not shown in my FS9, only the BEA freighter.All the entries checked several times but no other result.Had no problems with other repaints.Does anybody knows the reason?Thanks for reply
