Hi, Have just installed the 7th edition Briefing Time FSX edition on my machine and the attached shows what the textures look like, . My system is running FSX + Acceleration pack plus a few addon aircraft, Rex essentials plus and ORBX scenery. The OS is Windows 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and an NVidia GTX 570 GPU. The second attachment shows that textures are present and also the path, . Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi all, :smile: Why is there chickens clucking sounds when an engine goes out and why does the engine go out in the first place?

I recently purchased the MAAM DC3 for FSX. It seems to fly OK, and the virtual cockpit is fully textured, but the aircraft is always plain white from an external view, no matter what livery I pick. I used the installed to set it up (I didn't try by hand).I've searched on and off, but haven't found anyone having this same problem. Can anyone suggest how I might troubleshoot it?Thanks,David(PA-28-161 owner/pilot in RL)

Hi, guys, finaly decided to reinstal the C47 in FSX with Windows10. Installed fine, runs and sounds great but the winshield is not transparent, can't see outside. Anubody can suggest a fix for this problem? Any help with this problem will be appreciated. Cuco San Juan, PR

Regarding the DC-3 / C-47 models : Where is the subject lighting established ? > Is it an Effects file, configuration file, etc. ? I'd like to try to adjust it so the windows show up better at night from external views. Best to all, Ken Boardman

Some years ago I purchased all three aircraft for FS9. I now use FSX exclusively and am thinking about using them again. Is it possible to simply download the FSX versions or is it necessary to pay for them again? I understand they are already virtually compatible with a small patch. Thank you for any help.

Regarding the FSX updated version; anyone know how to get the "in cockpit" checklist to function properly. Non of the check blocks will accept a check mark when mouse clicked. I was able to get the Standard checklist to appear on the kneeboard by changing the aircraft.cfg " kb_Checklists = " line from " =checkloader " to " =dc-3_checklist " ; however the check blocks still will not accept a check mark. Greetings all! I flew the MAAM Sim DC3 extensively in FS9. I have since made the migration to FSX and decided to attempt to install the DC3/R4D in that sim. I followed the instructions, installed from my MAAM Sim CD and applied the r4dFSXu1.exe patch. All looks good except there are no engine "guts" behind the prop spinners. I saw the post about the missing texture files and have looked through mine, but they all appear to be there. I'm running FSX-SE on a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit machine. Hello all I went through the forum for days now and other google resources, I have two major issues: I started with missing altimeter problem and was fixed. The engine wont start from C&D situation the blades rotate but then stops it won't fire up, then I decided to start the flight with engines running. After take off at about 2,000ft AGL I lose both engines power completely speed goes down also manifold pressure and the plane just stall and goes into a dive to a crash ...... I have the B-25 BT installed into my FSX. I haven't used it in a long time because I have been focused on many GA aircraft. Last weekend I was at the Comox Air Show and got to have a first hand look at a restored B-25 Mitchell, this has caused me to want to fire up my MAAM version in FSX again. Since I first bought and installed the BT I have bought Saitek Yoke, Throttle set, Trim Wheel, Multi Switch panel and Pro pedals. For some reason my trim wheel and throttle set are not working properly. Trim doesn't work at all and the throttle works but pitch and mixture are not working. Everything was okay until yesterday. But now, as soon as I either clicked on the radio panel or hit Shift+8 The hourglass pops up and then the FSX has stopped working box shows. I have double-checked the panel.cfg but can find nothing wrong. Reinstall BT? Hate to do that because I have disabled all but four liveries and don't want to do it all again. I managed to get the R4D/C-47/DC-3 installed, only to find there's no altimeter in the Virtual Cockpit in any of the models. Any suggestions how to get the altimeter to display?

I noticed that on all my passenger DC-3 props, the spinner dome, and the blades are not connected to anything. The prop hub is invisible. Anybody else have this?

Can't get the checklists to work...the opening screen appears but no hot spots to click on to choose which checklist I want. Thanks for any help to fix.

I recently changed OSs from WXP to W7 due to security issues and Microsoft in its superior customer care shutting down support for what was an excellent OS, Windows XP. At any rate, I installed Windows 7 and then started to rebuild four different versions of FS9 I use to fly in different time periods of aviation. The MAAM-SIM TBF/TBM download goes into the 1903-1949 iteration of FS9. I ran into an issue with the aircraft causing a CTD after about 10 or 12 minutes of flight. MAAM-SIM was excellent about customer support and sent me a new copy of the R4D and TBF-TBM so I could do a clean install of both aircraft. The TBF-TBM download has SP1 already in it according to …

I try flying the FSX "Briefing Time" in Windows 7 and always have the same problem with my computer running out of memory, then FSX abruptly shutting down as a result. Usually it takes 1-2 hours of flying with the airplane before the shutdown occurs. I can't seem to determine what is causing this to happen, but figure it must be a program associated with the B-25j perhaps running in the background. Several minutes before the out of memory msg/shutdown occurs, I hear the Windows "Exclamation" beep sound warning that something eventful is about to take place.This only happens with the B-25j. I realize that the R-4D for FS9 was ported to FSX with a few patches to make it more compat with FSX but in most cases of such conversions I've noticed that the props will disappear behind the clouds. This is something that would have to be changed in the MDL file and I doubt that is has been changed for FSX. Any plans on trying for a True Native FSX version?

After almost eight years with FS9, I'm switching to FSX. I found a conversion for the DC3 and B25 but none for the TBD. I seriously doubt if a new one will be made. Does anyone know if there's one around somewhere?
