Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations User-to-User Support

Good afternoon everybody,For a virtual ferry flight I need extra long range tanks. Does anybody know if there is a possibility to modify the tank configuration?What would be the maximum range without extra tanks? What would be a realistic modification?Any idea?

Since purchasing the MAAM R4D DC3 for FSX version with the expansion pack, I have been unable to activate the overhead electrical panel using either the FS menu bar or the icon on the instrument panel.All other facets of the DC3 work fine. It is just this one problem. The aircraft is loaded in FSX with Windows 7. As of this date I have not used the MAAM DC3 in FSX as I have a previous download of the same a/c in FS9 on another machine. Howevwer is there a fix for this problem or am I having some finger trouble that I am not aware of?Really appreciate the help! It is a really great airplane!CAL2024

I have tried and tried to install the DC-3 in my new computer with no luck. Have win 7. Installed FS2004 on computer and DC-3 works fine. FSX is working fine as well. Tried copying from 2004 to FSX. Tried installing into a folder and moving it. Tried installing directly to FSX. I get only the speery and gps, all other instruments are blank, missing. I tried putting gauges into panel file too. gauges show in the gauge file but I cant open it. Is there something else I can try.

Hi.On "FSX sp2/acceleration" with "DOUGLAS R4D DC-3 C-47, after instaling "r4dFSXu1" from MAAM , everything works fine;except the autopilot. This was a download package purchased from MAAM 2007. It has workrd flawlessly until the recently. Immediately after selecting any of the several versions included in the package the following message appears and my FS-9 will freeze until I close out the program with the "end Now ' button. This is a verbatum copy of the message" flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software.You can continue using FS but this aircraft will be disabled. File:Gauges\maam_RD4.Gau." I have deleted the RD4 DC-3 files from FS-9 and my aircraft files and have reloaded from the original MAAM download Zip 4 times and the message is still the same.Would it be someones guess there is…

Whenever I click Shift-3 to see the overhead in Mark Beamont's IFR DC-3 overhead panel I see a black area instead of the popup and shortly afterwards FSX closes with an error. I heard that others have had the same problem, but the overhead popup works properly for somebody who uses Vista. (I use XP). Does anyone have any ideas about getting the overhead to display properly? If not, I will comment it out since I have pressed Shift-3 a few times accidentally and it always ends my flight.Also, I tried to use the textures to hide the yoke, and apparently I see the shape of the yoke only on the faces of the instruments, the panel itself shows as if there is no yoke.Donald

Hi,I recently installed B-25 Briefing Time from the 2004 CD plus the FSX update, and when I bring up the pop up windows to show different sections of the cockpit, I get Fatal Error and FSX shuts down. I've only found a one or two with the same problem and their told it's the uiautomationcore.dll causing the problem. Has there been a simple fix for this and if not, where is a step by step explaination to solve this problem? I'm using Windows 7 64.

I was browsing the internet and came across the King KNC-610 area navigation computer, which looks just like the DME on the Dakota.Is this what is installed in the museum's Dakota? Do you use it for RNAV or just as a DME?

Sir,I have a downloaded MAAM-SIM DC3 application for FS09. I tried to update it using r4dFSXu1.exe but the instruction says I need the MAAM-DC3 CD. Since I have the downloaded version I do not have a CD to insert. What do I need to do to get my MAAM-SIM DC3 to run on FSX?Thanks!Mike Osburn

why is the dc3 bendix autopilot not illuminated. It was in fs2002.

Hi I have an odd problem these days, flying with the wonderful R4D in realtime REX cold weather over ORBX Canada Scenery - although (I think..) I keep an eagle eye to all the meters, crowl flaps, anti ice systems and so on, both engines completely looses power when meeting snow after takeoff!! What am I doing wrong, or miss out?MortenPS. Where can I find a complete flight manual - dealing with cylinder/carburetor heat, proper use of crowl flaps etc. This wasn't included in the downloaded version.

hi,i ordered the DC3 dvd order 939 but as i entered it into my computer it says emty disk although i can see from the writeable side that something is written.in other words the disc cant be read in my computer. I tried in serveral other computers same resulti even reinstalled the whole computer as there might have been a software bug, but same result.the disc remaisn unreadable. I emailed MAAM to request another disc but they did not respond until now, so i figured to post a message here. in hope it might help.best regardsleonp.s. for those who blame securom ( is famous for this kind of problems, i have it wiped from my computer since the reinstall)

I have R4D/DC-3 installed in FS9. My PC is 2.4 Gig dual core running Windows XP. Video card is GeForce 7800 GTX. I have no wing/tail nav lights or rotaing beacons. Cabin and landing lights work fine. Battery, generators, invertors and light switches are all ON. Harware rendered -lights set full right. I have tried resetting switches by going to Reading startup flight with no joy. If the solution is somewhere in the manual or on forum already and I have missed it I apologize.

Hi All, I have just bought the MAAM- SIM dc3 and have been trying to install on my new PC. The progamme appears to go through the installation procedure perfectly. However ,when I look in 'select aircraft page' Nothing ,not a sign of it anyware. Does anyone know of any particular considerations with WIN7 PRO 64BIT? Thanks if any one can advise.

Hi allmy first post here and i have a few questions.1 just got the 8th edition cd, GREAT!!I LOVE ITbut, i have no 3d switches in the VC and i can't drag any levers?is there a fix for this?2 i got the jungle skippers repaint and tried to instal it. It does not show up no matter what i do. Is there a fix for this too?other than that great planei don't think i will ever fly any thing else again!!

I must be loosing something in my nogen.What is version FS2004/2002 R4D-6/DC-3A? The CD and download is listed as FS2004/2002 R4D-6/DC-3/C47 Could this be it?

Judging by the past work and the reputation of the designers and by the screenshots I've seen, I know the R4D will be a 5 star product. But I'm wondering if it will include the latest FS2004 development techniques, in particular a fully interactive virtual cockpit. Since PMDG's 737-800 NG and Milton Shupe's Aerocommander I've grown addicted to operating an aircraft from the VC without having to resort to pop up panels. I find it very immersive. So, how interactive will the VC be? If it is, i will not hesitate to give it a 6 star rating.Paul
