Hi everyone,I recently discovered that some of the sounds that my MAAM DC-3 used to make whenever I would click a switch or knob no longer happen. Some sounds still work though, and I can't figure out why some do and some don't.Sounds that still work on the overhead electrical panel: lights switches in upper right (nav, beacon, landing, etc). radio knobs (com1, com2, nav1, nav2, adf, etc.) magneto levers master ignition switch (between the magneto levers) Sounds that no longer work on the overhead electrical panel: the entire long row of switches in the middle, i.e. generators, blowers, engine start (prime, vibe, etc.), fuel pumps inverter switches (even though they don…

I have fs9 and love the MAAM DC3. My only problem is that when I am flying in VC mode and making a turn I notice the hooks that hold the compass in place start disappearing and the reappearing, also while this is happening during my bank angle turns the autofeather knobs side covers and start switch lever on the overhead are also flickering and then stabilizing in straight flight. I always fly the Passanger model of the MAAM DC-3. I also have anticyclone camera and also disabled the internal view to see if this was the problem, and it was not. I did change the TEXTURE_MULT_BANDWIDTH= from 40 to 100 in my FS CFG file. I also have Norm Hancocks panels and they react the sam…

I am beginning to suspect that my brain is suffering from oxygen deprivation, but does not the DC-3 come with an autopilot? All of my models have none! A quick look in the aircraft config shows that an autopilot option is there. The first line is AUTOPILOT=1 ...does this mean a YES or a NO?I think I'll just have another suck of this O2 bottle while someone hopefully clears this up. :-)Ray

Just a thought not sure what the problem is other than me :( I have the C-47 and B-25 package and have no trouble at all taking off. I now have the TBM package and what can I say it's great as are the others. My problem is this I cannot get off the ground at all and stay there unless I have flaps and then it doesn't last long. On Take-off I have Mp and RPM on the red line and as the speed gets close to 100 I pull back on stick. It does not matter if I just move it a little the stall warning comes on and I ease forward but doesn't seem to help. As I said it's most likely me but don't know what to do. It's kind of like me trying to fly Helo's, can't get them off the ground…

The Avenger is taking me to new places, specifically carriers!I've never tried carriers in FS2004 before, so again this might be me, but I can't seem to get anywhere with COP and the USS Langley. Using the supplied short final flight, no zones are selectable on the COP HUD. Any hints? Thanks,Mark

Have a small problem. I installed B-25 and TBF package's into FSX and have had no problem. For some reason when I stalled the C-47 package everything looks fine except no gauges. I can't seem to find them anywhere. I just let the installer do the work like with the other package's. I'm thinking about unstalling and reenstalling, but the only problem is how do I get all of the package off the computer? I have had this FSX installed and unstalled I don't know how many times since it came out but keep coming back to it. Guess I'll leave it this time. Oh, hope this does'nt matter but I have taken all the jets off. Just an old prop man, sorry about that. :( There's most …

I'm probably being dense, but having purchased the Avenger last night I couldn't see how to select the auto-rich or auto-lean positions called for by the checklists. Are these detents programmed in, or should I just manually adjust the mixture?BTW, I purchased the Avenger for a few reasons: 1) It looks great, and it had been on my wish list for a little while (and with the pound plummeting now seemed like a better time!); 2) I wanted to support MAAM a little; and 3) As a kind of thank you to the team members who were also involved in the Sectionf8 project. Having let those three reasons persuade me I'm very glad I did. This is a superb addon, and deserves more attentio…

Hi gents,I am a proud user (since ancient times) of the MAAM DC3 and it is also one of the aircraft of our fleet (http://www.catalonian-airlines.cat/ca/DC3).As long as I remember, this is an unpressurised aircraft and I have always flown it under FL100. However, now I am putting all manuals and technical data toguether and I see in the "CLIMB DATA MAAM Sim R4D.doc" and the "Flight Operation MAAM Sim R4D.doc" that data are given up to FL150. I wonder if this is only for the R4D or is also applicable to the passenger version of the DC3.Thank you for responding.Cheers,Llu

Hello,I converted my FS9 MAAM B-25J Briefing Time, together with some add-ons, to FSX, I moved my B-25 folder into the FSX Object Airplane folder and then executed the conversion exe. This worked well I saw the aircraft in my selection window, I selected one and then pressed Fly Now. As predicted, there first was a warning screen about the safety of the program, answerd Yes and then the screen turned white with a square with a questionmark in it. Nothing more. What could have gone wrong?kind regards,Piet de GeusNetherlands

HiI don't have this aircraft, and don't know much about DC3s, but I understand this one is quite detailed?I just wondered how realistic the engines simulated. The fun thing with pistion engined planes is getting them to cruise efficiently. As the burn up fuel, they get lighter, and also the altitude increases slightly. Both these factors means that the power, pitch and mixture settings need to be altered now and again to get maximum efficiency. One of the main gauges to keep an eye on would be the BMEP - or "Brake Mean Effective Pressure". Depending on the alititude, and weight of the aircraft there would be different values for this, and for the RPM. Does the DC3 have thi…

Help!!! I recently did a reinstall of FSX and loaded SP2. I foolishly thought the Briefing Time B25 would be in a folder somewhere like my CLS was. Where might I find it on the hard drive (under what? I've tried B25, Maamsim etc. when searching) or does Maam-Sim allow more than 1 download as does flight sim pilot shop? Thanks!!!

I re-installed my DC-3 MAAM package in FSX yesterday along with the 2 patches, and everthing is working great. Just one question as I suspect I did something wrong. On a couple of the aircraft versions I have somehow created multiple versions of the same aircraft,i.e. the R4D.When I added the texture patch I suspect I did it one to many times, texture and texture.1 for some of the models. Whats the best way to fix this?

I am flying the MAAM sim C47 on the North Atlantic Routes from DC3 Airways using the Radio Range where possible and on Golden Wings FS installation.I keep having CTD's which is quite frustrating as some of the flights are quite long.I do not know what causes them but it seems to be a conflict somewhere along the line between the three things above. When it crashes I get the warning messageMicrosoft Visual C + Runtime Library Runtime Error R6025 pure virtual function callI have looked this up and it seems to be a registry problem warning. However I have used Registry Smart and the error still occurs.Any ideas and has anyone else had the same problem.

The answer may have been posted but I can't find it. When I fly the C-47 Sugarpuss the red tail navigation light is out in space, not touching the aircraft. Is there a fix or can the light be removed in the "aircraft.cfg" file. Thanks for your help

Hi!I just installed the briefing time and DC3 for FSX (had it before in FS9 and earlier), applied all available updates incl. glass textures. Both planes are working correctly and are still looking great, no problems with prop spin texture, only exception: there is no VC in the B 25. I have FSX SP2 installed but DX10 not checked because of runway - taxiway flickering. Is this how it should be or can the VC be forced to show itself?Installation paths correct (did a manual installation from a temp. folder and then applied the updates). Within the panel.cfg there is a VC.Thanks, any help or hint appreciatedMichael

I am sory for keep asking the same question again and again. Will it be a DC-3 FSX version? I have for FS 2004. I downloaded the FSX patch , but it didn't fix the engine and propeller transparency. May be following the patch instruction is not for me..Therefore MAAM DC-3 is in hanger close to a year. I like this plane..I don't want to fly unrealistic FSX version engine/propellers.I wonder if MAAM DC-3 will be redesign for FSX.Best regards :( Sanal

Hi, can you fly in fsx in shared cockpit with this most amazing plane (dc3) cause i'll tell you some thing - i've gotten a lot of respect for those who flew these and still do. When you fly according to those real world videos coming in almost zero zero managing the engine properly for shock cooling and trying ti keep the aproach on the cross hairs being on vatsim flipping radio knobs and every thing else i'll tell you what buddy you got you're hands full with this tomato can. There's no pushing buttons on the mode control panel here, sitting back and flirting with some gorgeous flight attendent that you plan on taking to the motel when you land. If you can fly in share…

Hi All, I have the C-47 package installed in FS10 and working fine, I have installed the B-25 package and everything so far looks fine except there are no gauge's. It flies fine and I can see out the window. I checked my system in FS9 and it looks the same as it does in FS10 except no gauge's are in the panel when I start FS10. I had problems with C-47 and got that fixed. I'm guessing it has to do with FS10. I have the TBM package on the way. I've looked at all the questions and did'nt find anything. I use FS9 more but like to get this fixed. Also the picture does not show up in aircraft lineup just a ? mark. Thanks for any helpdon. :(
