Hey, Gang.... I've just uploaded my second attempt at a repaint, the MAAM-SIM DC-3 Passenger in fantasy Texas Department Of Corrections livery. I think this one turned out rather well, and I'm learning fast. Hope to be up there with the master repainters eventually! I hope you all enjoy this new skin! Dear pilots,After a few years without flying I restarted my pilotcareer. A few years ago I bought the Douglas R4D-6 (DC-3) CD for MSFS 98 / 2000. I wondered if there is a possibility to upgrade this CD to FS2004 or do I have to buy the new CD.Thanks in advance for your answer.RegardsAlbert J. DijkshoornDC3-061

Hi all, Having used the MAAM B25 since its release for FS 2002 with no real problems , I have changed FS from 2002 to FS 2004 and used a different drive from the normal C drive, to D drive. Reason being C drive was totally full and D drive had 150 Gigs to play with. I also updated the B25 with the 2004 upgrade. Selecting the b25 , a popup appears stating the gauges are incompatible. Clicking the ok to continue, freezes my computer. The only way to get out of the program , is to shut down the computer. I have the gauges.DLL=1 info in FS CFG file and saved, to no avail. There appears to be no update (fix) for this in the 2004 upgrade. However i still have a lot of 2002 and…

For those of you who can get it, the History Channel Mega-Movers episode, "Extreme Aircraft Recovery", featuring the MAAM P-61 recovery operation, along with three other aircraft recovery stories, airs today, June 9 at 4:00 PM EST. Check your local listings. If you miss it today, History repeats episodes frequently and eventually will have it available on DVD through their website. This is an incredible story, and when the P-61 restoraton is finally finished, we will of course be producing a MAAM-SIM version of the only flying "Black Widow" in the world. That's about three years off, if we can raise the money. If the story inspires you, please become part of the P-61 R…

I installed my B-25J Mitchell "Brifing Time" in my FSX program per instructions from file bt_fsxu1.zip with no problems. I am on the Windows Vista opering system. After starting FSX from the opening screen I changed aircraft to the B-25 and the FSX program shut down. The next time I started the program I went to one of my pre recorded flights and than changed aircraft to the B-25J and it went over good. However when I clicked on the "CP" icon, the FSX shut down again. The gauges and aircraft are in their proper palces. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX video adapter. What could be the problem.Pete

I love the MAAM-SIM DC-3 but unfortunately I have had to hand-fly it everywhere because apparently the Sperry autopilot is INOP. I am pretty sure I am programming it correctly- the problem I have is that when the unit is turned on, there does not seem to be any effect. For example, if I adjust all the dials to hold my present attitude and course, and then turn the AP on, the plane eventually starts drifting off course, as if the AP was never engaged. Likewise, if I set up everything correctly, and then turn the AP on, and then try to change the heading dial, the planes does not attempt to steer in order to turn to the new course. Trying to change other parameters (i.e. …

Hi To All, I've just uploaded a new repaint for the MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3 Cargo aircraft, in fictional Antarctica Research Program livery, to the AVSIM File Library. The file name is: maam_ant.zip This Antarctica Research Program DC-3 Cargo aircraft is assigned to, and based on, the ficticious Antarctica research outpost featured in John Carpenter's Sci-Fi Hit "The Thing" (1982) starring Kurt Russell. Although there were no fixed-wing aircraft at the outpost in the movie (only helicopters) I thought it would be fun to create one, since I plan to re-create the outpost with a runway for this aircraft. When completed, it will be uploaded as freeware scenery. My very…

Hello,I just bought the CD and tried to install the FS-2004 version in the default folder for FS-2004. I get the following message:"Installation complete.... has not been totally intalled because of the following reason. This file contains invalid data."I run a fresh install of FS-2004 (no add-ons) on XP SP2. The FS9 folder doesn't contain any reference to Briefing Time, so it doesn't look like the installation went very far.Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Hello, I purchased the C-47 package a few weeks ago and installed it into FSX. The installation went great, fantastic job on the plane. Since then, I've been on a 3 week business trip and I'm just picking it up again, however, when I loaded the plane all the gauges in the VC were missing and I'm at a loss as to what could be causing it. I deleted the gauge permission from FSX.cfg, and when I loaded the plane, FSX asked me if I wanted to allow the gauges. So, I know it's trying to use them but for some reason they are not appearing. Would you have an ideas on how to fix the problem. Thank you very much.Kind Regards,John

I am pleased to announce the opening of the new MAAM Store. http://www.maam.org/php/xcart/As MAAM's webmaster, I have been working hard on it for some weeks now and we will be expanding it even further in the months ahead, adding a lot more new merchandise. The MAAM-SIM products have their new home here, of course, and you can find a lot of great aviation merchandise, including some R4D and Briefing Time items. You can join the Museum, buy a ride on the SNJ or Stearman, donate to the P-61 Restoration, and for the first time, order World War II Weekend Tickets on-line.Speaking of which, if you intend to join us this June 1-3 for the 17th Annual WWII Weekend, I recommend you …

After flying other aircraft for months, I reacquainted myself with the excellent B-25. However, the pilot's window no longer responds to the SHIFT+W key command. I'm freezing in the cockpit because the window is stuck in the open position. How can I get the window closed, please?I'm running FS-9 on XP-SP2.Anthony

I read the info on the FSX update. My question is, that I have a sixth addition, I beleave If I install it in FSX and then download the FSX update it will work? However would the ninth edition work better with the update? I can't do without your aircraft, I flew MS for the first time the other night, and I am spoiled big time!;)
