If you did not catch the Press Release on the front page here at Avsim or elsewhere, here it is:http://www.maam.org/flightsim/news/9th_ed/9th_ed.htmIf you don't want to read the whole thing, or look at all those nice screenies, the quick and dirty is that this edition adds the 6 "All Theaters" C-47s and the Danish Dakota Friends C-47 OY-BPB to the previous stable that included the original R4D, UAL, BEA, XC-47s, and D-Day C-47s of the 8th Edition. There is nothing new - that is, these were already available as free enhancements to CD owners. It's just our SOP of including the latest freebies when a new burn of CD's is needed at the museum. So why all the hoopla? Hey, pres…

Hi Folks,It's been quiet around our TBM project for long enough, hasn't it.. Happy to tell you we're finally back at it almost at full throw now. Here's a bunch of WIP screenies of the external model for you to take a peek at if you like. Only about half finished, that goes for the textures too but she's alive now so without any further ado here we go with slide show.A brisk day at the virtual Mid Atlantic Air Museum, all's still pretty quiet : http://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/tbmwip1/tbmwip0171.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/tbmwip1/tbmwip0172.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/tbmwip1/tbmwip0173.jpgSuddenly the quietness is vigorously broken by the distinctive roar of a 14 …

Not sure if anyone can help.I'm trying to do a repaint for my VA using the supplied paint kit. The standard of my livery contains a 'swoosh' that goes right up the side. Now in order to do this, I tend to make a mock-up of the whole side fuselage, place a layer on with this artwork, and then cut it back up again. The problem I have with this, is that I can't seem to get the front, rear and tail to line up on the supplied files.Hope someone can help me out with this please. I want to add this great model to my existing lineupThanks

  9. Hey guys...I'm not trying to be an AH or anything. Can you tell me if anyone at MAAM has ever experienced the non-starting engine problem? It's one thing to have to pull little tricks to get them to start...and I'm OK with that. I don't chase my FPS lock...if I'm at an area which renders greater than 30 FPS I just open a new, small Spot View window (I never see it because it's hidden behind the Overhead ;-) ) and start away. But I get the impression (and I might be wrong) that NOBODY at MAAM ever experiences this problem...at locations which render greater than 30 FPS? Are you "testing" on the same "Company" computer...or on your own (I bring this up because of possible g…

Hi guys,I have the FS2002 R4D-6 CD. Several years ago when FS2004 came out I updated the R4D-6 to FS2004, I think by an online download. Anyway, last week I had to re install my MS XP operating system and in so doing lost my well worn FS2004 R4D-6. What must I do to regain the FS2004 R4D-6 aircraft to my FS2004 "hanger"?Keep your Mach up,Smilinjack

I have the Briefing Time B-25J working well in FSX with the 2d panels. I also setup several camera views. My problem is that I can't get the VC to display at all. It is in the panel.cfg and all the gauges are in the panel folder. Any help to get the VC to work sure would be appreciated. Thanks, regards, Bob.

I am planning on trying out my sim with Wideview. I have two pcs, two monitors and a projector and wish to put the two minitors with captains panel on one, engine instruments and autopilot on the other. The magnification toggle works a treat for the flight panel but the other I would like to magnify too. Ideally the quadrant would be deleted too of course as I use a PFC item. Has anybody done this already? With all this and my two original DC3 cockpit seats, magneto switches and overhead switch panels I could be well on my way to an "Ego" room :) :) :)

I installed the MAAM DC3 manually and she flies all right but there are no gauges in the panel.Just to make sure I'm not missing a step, this is what I did:All DC3 versions go into into >>FSX/SimObjects/AirplanesAll gauges go into >>FSX/Gauges All effects into >>FSX/EffectsAll sounds into >>FSX/SoundI checked the Panel CFG and it doesn't alias to an unknown folder as far as I can tellTIA

Hi all,I'm setting up my new TripleHead (3x20")/TrackIR 4 solution (!) and thought it would be nice to start using the updated VC that is available on the C47s. But I find that I have gotten lazy and too used to the fabulous DCA IFR panel mod (dcamaam4.zip) that is available for the original version.Have anyone tried to tweek this for the C47? Is this easy/hard/impossible?Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the matter!Best regards,Timian

HelloWas thinking of picking up your great DC-3 package based on some reviews and recommendations. Had a couple of questions, however:1) FSX. From reading the other posts in this forum, it seems like you are committed to making the DC-3 product compatible with FSX. Will there be an additional charge associated with this upgrade? Since FSX's release is so close it would not make much sense to get it now only to have to pay for it again come FSX. I'm assuming that the FSX upgrade will be mainly for compatibility only? And that perhaps later on a built-for-FSX DC-3 product (taking advantage of new FSX features) may or may not come out (which would probably be a separa…
