Hello, I have been monitoring all the add on sim sites and noticed thatMAAM-Sim has not discussd FSX. I own both Briefing Time and The R4D, and awaiting the release of TBM Avenger. Is MAAM-Sim also working on a fixfor FSX?With HopesRick A.

I'm very much enjoying the MAAM-SIM DC-3 and the ever-growing range of liveries by third-party designers.I notice many of the latter instruct users to put them to the MAAM-SIM Passenger model which is right-hand door but I believe the vast majority were left-hand door. Will such textures install to the alternative add-on left-hand door model without problem? The reason I ask is that I have done this with a few, but notice that some of the fuselage textures do not line up. Some look really awful. What I'm really trying to establish is whether this is a case of poor quality repainting or whether it is just a case of my installing them wrongly. With best wishes,John

  3. I would like to add the "All Theaters" aircraft/liveries to my MAAM aircraft...but I don't want the update to the VC. It brought on the nefarious engine starting problem and none of the old fixes, which always worked before, would make it go away. I had to delete/ re-install the R4D/DC3 from my CD to get the engines to start again. I never use VC, anyway. I tried installing to a temp folder but it wouldn't do it. I understand why...this ensures that I have the MAAM-SIM payware installed. I just wish there was a way for us 2D'ers to get the package without the VC upgrades, which have proven very problematic for me. Vic

Sorry if this is repeated elsewhere guys. . I have simply moved a small number of aircraft over to the "airplane" folder, along with any gauges and textures which I've found, but after copying BT over and opening it up in FSX, the vc viewpoint is just ahead of the nosewheel! I'm using Track IR4. It can be moved up using the shift-enter combo, but won't stay. Also the instruments are blank. . any ideas? thanks..

In the up-graded versions of the C-47 Virtual Cockpit, why can I move only one throttle, one mix, etc; at a time, rather than grab both controls as we do in the 2D cockpit, Or do I have something wrong? I hope you understand my question, I didn't really know how to ask. ThanksEd Workman

Hi all, I just installed the Theater and VC Update for your wonderful DC-3, however I have a little problem... The VC Update (with the overhead switches and all) only show up in one or two models (C47s only I think) but all the theaters are there and operating. I will look into this more later, but thought I would post here incase I was missing something obvious!P.S. I made a DC_3pax IFR aircraft folder to store the few IFR configs I use in, I doubt this would effect anything though. Thanks for a wonderful aircraft!!!

Hi,This is a question for the FS9 experts that reside here. It is as much an FS9 question as a MAAM one.I have never been able to use the shift E +2 command to open the C-47 cargo door. It has never worked in my set-up. The shift E routine works fine.I remember reading a posting a while back with a fix for this issue. I can not remember if it is a correction to the FS9.cfg or use of the assignment key routine.Any thoughts?

Sorry for the slew of postings- just recieved the DC-3 CD today. I am pretty happy with the plane! Flies like a dream and has such a unique "character" of operation that is not really captured by the default craft. The interactive checklist is pretty cool too!I got the plane configured up using controls from my CH Yoke and Throttle Quadrant, so I have physical control of each lever like the real bird, and also by using the up/down toggle buttons on the TQ, I have simulated the "three-finger" startup arrangement. (There is no command for "VIB" in FSUIPC so I have it just be another starter command. Is the "vib" function on the panel a custom one, or is it just a renam…

Anyone care to take a stab at a Buffalo Airways repaint for the MAAM-SIM DC-3? Buffalo Airways is based in Hay River, NWT (Canada) and flies a regular scheduled service from Hay River to Yellowknife. The majority of their flying, however, is charters and cargo to various locations throughout the far north of Canada. I do believe it is one of the very few places in north america where you can still book a flight on a DC-3. I hope to be able to ride it for real one day! Their fleet consists of numerous vintage prop planes along with a few light aircraft. Here is a link to the Buffalo Airways website where they have info and pics on their DC-3's.http://www.buffaloairways…

I was wondering when you do the upgrade to the B-25 for FSX, would it be possible at that time to get rid of the green cockpit glass in the VC. Jan had mentioned something a couple of years ago about giving it a shot at some point. Thanks,Bill

Autumn is upon us (at least here in the Northern hemisphere) and the Fall MAAM-SIM Screenshot Contest is now closed. If you are like me, you are heartily sick of election campaign advertising, so I'll only bug you once. Please, please send or post your votes for three selections in each of the two categories. That's first second and third choices in B-25 and in DC-3. I'm counting on you guys once again to make the selection and this will be the final contest, now that we have completed a year's worth - at least until we have a new product out to test your artistic talents. So, post your choices here for all to see, or privately to [email protected]. We'll close the …

Original installation Passenger, RD4 etc OK. C-47 VC update has the following problems:..Pop up windows, radio, electrical, fuel are either incomplete or blank.. Auto pilot shuts off after about ten minutes. Can be reactivated by re-selecting any Douglas model-even the same one...when auto pilot shuts down, outside temp guage becomes inactive.I've tried reinstalls on everything to no avail. Would love any helpful suggestions.HP

I added the carrier 2006 scerery to FS2004. It was supposedly corrected for the "sinking carrier problem", but it still does it, meaning the plane flies right through the carrier. Also, I loaded the USS Stennis from Maam, but it dows the same thing. What do I have to do to correct this problem? Thanks,Harry

  18. Started by Dark Moment,

Folks, although not one pilot has noticed them but yours truly, there were some small errors in Version 1 of my Yoke Removal pack. I have now corrected them, and uploaded Version 2 to the major libraries, which file should be available soon. File name is DCMAAM10.ZIP. If you have previously installed my Version 1 attempt (DCAMAAM9.ZIP), please overwrite that effort with this second version, thanks. For your interest, the errors were: 1. Unintentional creation of transparency in the tailwheel well. 2. A leftover 'bit of yoke' flying about on the FO's side in the C-47s. 3. Accidental use and modificatiion of an older texture bitmap in the latest "All Theaters" C-47s, with t…

Hi all I found out how to get your DC3 VC to show up in the FSX Beta.. Simply open your aircrafts model.cfg and add where it says for example [models]normal=dc3_beaChange it so it reads[models]normal=dc3_beainterior=dc3_beaHope this helps anyone else who had this problem out. It should also work with Briefing Time. Apparently these steps won't be needed in the final version of the sim.
