Gotta thank the gang at MAAM-SIM for their most recent excellent expansion pack for the C-47 etc. Way back for FS2002 I enjoyed the B-25J "Briefing Time" so much that I had to drive across North America to go visit the place that inspired all this enthusiasm and I sure did see it for myself. Would recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to pay a visit to the museum but allow yourself plenty of time. Hoping to do so again this Sept. the bestGary:-beerchug

Hi all,Just putting in a plug for the DC-3 upgrade to include Jan's new windows (in BPB) for the entire series. Is there any way that you all might let us know what you are planning? (I'm not sure that it makes sense for you to say anything here, but we'd all love to hear...)Best,Mike MacKuen

First of all, congrats on the release of this new pack. This is a great aircraft and getting better and better all the time.Is it possible to make the transponder compliant with the latest Squawkbox so SB can be turned on and off from the DC3 transponder?.Regards,Christian.

Hi, I was wondering if there was any news about the R4D package upgrade that would put the switches on the overhead panel in the VC? Thanks.

The votes have been tallied, the results are in, and the winning entries are on display!http://www.maam.org/flightsim/screenies/SCREENIES.htmCongratulations to all the winners. Gunnar (Skyhawk) van der Meeren, whose B-25 formation shots originally inspired the inception of the contest, took the Grand Prize for the B-25. Grant MacLean was the GP winner in the DC-3 category. Well done, gentlemen. Please send me your shipping address to [email protected] so we can send your prize. As usual, there were a lot of great shots from which to choose and I'm glad all I had to do was tally the votes! If you think your vote does not matter, consider that the two GP winners were se…

It's been a while since I flew the MAAM DC-3. However, I finally found some free time again and installed her anew (all updated). I'd forgotten how wonderful she is to fly. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous, too. :)1) I seem to have also forgotten much in the VC. I find that quite a number of things are *not* clickable in the VC (lights, et. al.). Am I missing something? I have the 4th Edition CD.2) I can do this on my own of course, with a trusty WWII Atlas, however... I was curious if someone has done any series of flightplans for visiting battlesites from WWII/WWI (like on the Eastern or Western Fronts, et. al.). I think something like that might be worthwhile for th…

It's me again; I read the readme! DCAMAAM5.zip from your freebies said to place the unzipped "aircraft" folder over my FS9 folder. This results in a folder containing just panel configs, and the panel is not modified in the existing DC-3. I then saw the part about placing the panel .cfg's where they should be "if you want to do it that way". In my infinite wisdom, I overwrote the panel .cfg for the passenger version. The mods were all there but there was no HSI, and no compass of any kind. Not only did this happen to the Passenger version, but when I tried the cargo version the mods were there with no HSI. (I only overwrote the passenger panel .cfg). I then overwrote the …

I recently bought the DC-3 CD at the WWII weekend. Great bird, fast and easy installation of scenery but I can't find instructions for opening the hangar doors. I know you have to tune a certain freq on a certain radio; but what?Best Regards, Donald Traill:-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.

If, like me, you have problems steering the DC-3 on the ground take a look at this file, just uploaded to AVSIM.http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=86682It's an invisible gauge which makes the rudder function as toebrakes while on the ground and at speed less than 25 kts, making tail draggers much more steerable.Although intended for the default DC-3 it certainly works for the MAAM DC-3, at least it does for me. :-)It's worth a try, although there's a mistake in the read me which gives the wrong name of the gauge in the entry for the panel file.Give it a try.John

Are there any plans to build low-poly versions of the MAAM aircraft for use with AI? I use them in AI despite the frame rate hit, but it would be nice to have more computer friendly versions for AI.

Gentlemen,Really could use some help. My hard drive took a dump and I lost everything to include everything FS related. Along with that my MAAM DC3/R4D is lost including all documentation. I can't remember what is required from MAAM to show proof so I can get a re-download from them. I really want my bird back. Pretty sure I bought it in 2004. Any suggestions?HAWKDRIVER

....and that problem is: Why the heck didn't I order it SOONER?? An absolutley AWESOME add-on for FS2004, and, being a lover of the famous DC-3, I'm thrilled! This package is easily worth TWICE the asking price, and if you've been thinking of ordering it....DON'T THINK....just DO IT! You won't be sorry! KUDOS to MAAM-SIM for an outstanding package! It must be something I'm doing wrong because I see no other complaints in previous posts on the matter.Just so you know, I'm familiar with DXTBMP, PaintShop Pro and the techniques used in repainting. I've done a few aircraft repaints and for about 5 years did paints for online Nascar racing with PaintShop Pro.I used the paintkit and started with the "fuse 1 bare metal clean. bmp", painted a bit of stuff on it and then after copying the entire UAL folder and renaming it, replaced the bm_fuse_1_t.bmp with mine. The result was that gray blank texture in the game. I tried using the texture as a dxt3, as just a plain bmp, played with the alphas, checked sizes and tried just u…

Niether here N'or there: My wife and I listen to "40s" music on XM Satalite ..ON Direct TV. Have been since they offered it. Every night during dinner. Tonight, we heard a "Lite" promotion of the "Reading Army Airfield WW-II Weekend".I was born before Pearl Harbor (11/11/41) and for some reason, both of us have been attracted to Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Arty Shaw, etc. even though we were both only babes in arms at the time the music was popular. Hello, I'm a newbie to the whole forum thing. Love the B-25, great realism. I fly a TBM-3E (BuNO. 85650) and was just curious when the release for MAAM's package was anticipated. Great work, thanks guys!

Since FSNet at (gates.to) came on the scene a couple of us have been flying together as pilot & co-pilot, with great satisfaction. We've been using the DC3 aircrafts from DC3airways.com and have been working very well. When we tried to log on together with the MAAM DC3's we found some problems. We could not use the same switches together and found that in order for both of us to have the same plane we were in running together we had to log out, both start our respective planes and then re-log on together at which time we could fly the same plane together marginially. The fun is in going through all the steps on the check list together as pilot & co-pilot. What nee…

Guys, Ive got a major problem. When I try to select the plane it brings up an error message saying 'cannot load GaugesMAAM_R4D.gau" and continues tobring up the error message after I click okay until I force the computer to exit FS. The only change Ive made to the sim recently is I had to delete FS9.cfg (I was having some problems unrelated to this) and generate a new one. I will try a reinstall of the plane in hopes of fixing this issue

Need help, I am not much of a geek, but I am having trouble with part of the program....Just purchased the latest CD on the B25 approx. 2 weeks ago. Loaded it, everything seems to be working great with one exception. When I open up the POP-UPS and want to un-dock, what I get is a Pop-up that is a full sized window that has a FULL BLACK window with the the pop-up in the bot. part,. If I try to resize it the item comes down proportionatley, so it's to small to read. It's from the Co-Pilot's side. ---the only one that works like it's susposed to is th Garmin...My intention is to move them to the 2nd monitor. I have the DC3 program and I don't have any problems.. I hope that s…

hi all i have been having a problem lately with the VC in the DC-3. after a few mnutes of flying certain textures behind the gauges and other things in the VC most notably the gards behind the prop feather switches start dissapearing and appearing in rapid succession. This gives them a fluttering appearance. It gets really annoying after a while and has just started yesterday. i tried all screen resolutions with no effect. any ideas?thanks P.S. the dc-3 updated sounds awsome!

What am I missing, the fuel switches in my DC-3 are good for one click after that I can click the mouse till I'm blue in the face and the switches no longer change position!?! Is there some logical reason for this, or am I missing something?George "Alky
