I'm currently downloading AS2012 and have been reading the User Guide while doing so. Does anyone know if you should be restoring the default files from REX prior to installing AS2012, or can you simply install AS2012 and then ask to apply the textures you want? Thanks much :)

I've downloaded all files for AS2012, but when I run the install program, using Administrator Rights, I get error messages about being unable to install cloud files. I've attached both messages I got. Please help. I am re-downloading all files again in hopes I get non-corrupt files this time.

Hi guys. Does anyone have a valid contact email for the Simmarket Folks. I can not log in my account and have been trying nearly a month. None of the password reset features will work and they do not seem to list one regular email address. Have done all the things including checking spam folders ect. Trying to purchase 2012 and no one wants my money...LOL

Love ASE and dont really see a need to upgrade unless my frustrations with DWC mode are lessened. Specifically have you guys improved the situation where you are flying along and all of a sudden thuderstorms form all around you? Or any weather for that matter. Being that DWC is global this is going to happen. Since DWC is the only mode with the visibility graduation a smoothing it is now the only mode I will fly in. In reading the manual for 2012 it sounds like you guys modified the global write for 2012 with some specific station data to minimize this weather change all of a sudden effect, or shall I say, not seeing the weather comming in the distance effect. I understan…

Hi! I am a mostly IFR/Heavy flyer. I have ASE and have used HiFi products from a very veyr long time, however; my X-mas is very very tight this year, I've been off and on work for a while and I was thinking of buying ASE2012. I really really llike my REX textures and I'll probablt end of keeping those. Does the new ASE2012 add any benefit to the guy flying 73's at FL400, is there a big improvment on the Wx engine. I ask because I already have ASE and REX and I don't want to bite the bullet, but I have too and soon in order to take advantage of the cheaper price.Cheers Ron

1. For owners of ASE, can/does ASE2012 install over ASE as an upgrade or is strictly stand-alone?2 .Will ASE2012 automatically pick up my networked setting already there for ASE?I just want to be absolutely clear so as not to do multiple installs.

Ok, I know I'm really slow on the uptake but... I went to the AS2012 page and clicked for purchase of the latest and greatest. I was directed over to SimMarket, paid my money and was further directed to a page of various files all with my order number and indicating that they are various parts of the program. I clicked on the top file for D/L. Then...I was given a page of new products to look at and no download screen that I can recognize as such. What am I doing wrong and do I have to download 2012 as a set of files instead of as one package?Never mind. When all else fails, read the instructions...DUH

Not one to rush into things, I was wondering if the 30 Euro upgrade price expires on 12/19 or if it will still be available to current ASE users after that date? Thanks,Robert

Or what.I went and bought AS2012 because I have OCD, even though I already have ASE and REX. Some of you may have heard me gripe about DWC not being realistic and well, its not. Having spent over 4000 hours in the real skies its just to homogenous of a depiction in most cases as far as cloudscapes go, especially in areas of radiation fog and cold fronts. So I wanted to find out if AS2012 would give me that skyflash stutter ASE gave me in Standard depiction and it looks like they fixed that, hurayy!! One thing I forgot about, and how could I it was another big gripe I had was that there is a smooth and hazy horizon / reduced visibility that usually exists in real life. I j…

AS2012 installed and activated ok on my network workstation.Xgauge installed but I got a message saying no FSX aircraft (on server) were updated .. said I could uninstall Xgauge aircraft first. So, is Xgauge supposed to be run from the workstation to update the FSX aircraft on the server or is Xgauge supposed to be copied to and run on the server? The ATIS data on the Xgauge screen is faint .. hard to read.See screenshot.

For those of use that fly at high flight levels, FL500 - FL600, are there any issues with the correct tempratures being simulated? I know some of the older programs (especially FSX) have some serious issues with this. These tempratures can have a serious affect on Concordes and the like. Thanks.

I upgraded my ASA to ASE when it came out last year. The upgrade to ASE was free for ASA owners at the time. My question is, can that license qualifies for the €29. 99 AS2012 special pricing?Sorry, somebody asked the same question and got an answer. Thanks

I'm using my ase license and AS2012 will not accept it, I copied and pasted it in so there is no error, and I even checked the ase registry and it is the proper key.

I can get from you AS 2012 for the price of 35,96 euro incl tax, via simmarket. For normal the price is 59,49 euro incl tax.So i buy ASE for 46 euro by simmarket in oktober 2011.Now i must pay 35,96 extra to get AS 2012, un update so total AS product is comming up for 81,96 euro.My question is, is this fair for us whit a leagal key....When i did not have buy ASE i was sheaper to buy AS 2012.Can you explane why i see this wrong.....Another thing, this looks like REX 2.0.Rex 2.0 weather engine is not zo good in update as ASE.What engine uses AS 2012, works this the same as ASE.
