ASN Cloud Texture Question Dark Clouds intermixed with White Clouds
Chris Willis replied to amalishkin's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumFSX use cirrus files and cumulus01 files only, all others are not used, as for the cloud looking, you have to change texture set , there is stratus, cumulus and wispy, individually and these can be related to metar as well how they will look, the gray/dark are related to the sky set and shade, shade are 3rd party addons that modifie the light on clouds and things like this, if you did not install it, it is ok. At dusk and dawn, the dark and gray will remain there, fsx lightning system.

ASN Cloud Texture Question Dark Clouds intermixed with White Clouds
Chris Willis replied to amalishkin's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi, Are you using shade? The dark mixed with white clouds can be amplified with shade used, Also using As2012 day sky set will not have this at day time. FSX North Pole clouds get shrinked, this is normal FSX issue.

ASN and overcast/fog
Chris Willis replied to katsa's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumDepend on the texture used, you might get different result. For texture it's probably the stratus only, try to use these 01 Cinema, 07 Drift, 12 Shell, 24 SP2 Compact, stick with one stratus set, if you are using wx influenced, they will get changed again, they must be disabled on the wx influenced to get constant stratus sets. Please notes As2012 was not working like ASN, We are working on the second phase for ASN separately which will unlock many feature and bring ASN to his highest level on depiction and graphically merged together.

Inland Blue vs. Inland Brown Water Textures
Chris Willis replied to PDX Flyer's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi, Here little explanation of Inland water, they are more specific area to lakes and rivers etc. http://www.greenfacts.org/en/ecosystems/toolboxes/systems-inland-mountain.htm Inland blue ( for inland area where the inland look more blue), inland brown (for inland area where the inland look more brown), they are placed automatically from FSX scenery specific to lakes and rivers etc. Fsx have ocean, tropical, inland blue and inland brown, As2012 have variant for taste, they are individual group of texture placed in specificic area in FSX water class, but each of these never overwrite each others, you can have one set of ocean, one set of tropical, one set of inland blue and one set of inland brown at once, we don't control where the water class are placed, they are built from FSX scenery.

Airport Texture Problem
Chris Willis replied to Lukemeister's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHI, It's something related with 3rd party addons, we only replace the default fsx texture, not 3rd party addons or any placement of any ground texture position. You might reintall UK2000 and see.

Tropical Water Graphics and Florida Department of Interior.
Chris Willis replied to Jetblst's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi, Try to changes sets, recolor, also FSX might not use inland water on these area by their scenery water class. By clicking inland blue water set, use the recolor function for inland blue, then install the custom inland blue created. You might also click on the build color buttons at the bottom right, these are custom preset water created. Try to change differente area Ocean, Inland and tropical sets.

AS2012 SP2! Beta #4 is now available
Chris Willis replied to Damian Clark's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumHi NIko, You can disable the tropical and water generation in the install option, this will prevent you to install water which take time, the wx influenced are mostly for clouds and sky and wave, Once you like a tropical or water, you can disable them, it will increase lots of time.
