Got ASN16 and ASCA and I am not getting any large fluffy clouds, just high scattered wispy clouds. I also do not get clouds when in rain, sometimes a full fog overcast look but no clouds. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. I have cloud layers set at 5 and full density set in P3D and have the HD clouds installed. Here are a couple of screen shots to show rain without clouds or overcast, just blue sky. Both ASN16 and ASCA are action and ASCA is set to full dynamics. Had computer problems and had to un-install active sky. (among other programs) When I tried to reinstall, key did not work. Tried to contact Active Sky but got message account de-activated. I tried getting a new password. They sent the password but still could not log in - deactivated account again. It appears that with my e-mail, Active Sky thinks I am a crook and there is no way to submit a ticket or contact them. I don't know what happened but I need to contact them to resolve the issue. Anyone have any ideas other than establishing another e-mail account?.

I am at the stage of my training where flight planning for cross-countries is central. Part of that, as I am sure everyone knows, is looking up the winds aloft data on ADDS and calculating my correct magnetic headings for my VFR flight. So... I currently am using Active Sky Next and am purchasing AS16 and ASCA. Do I first have to uninstall ASN or do I install AS16 & ASCA over it? Thanks, Howard

I have read on some posts about the High TAT is related to ASN. Can anybody confirm this? I have now twice tried taking off in my pmdg 737 and the TAT is +33c. I can't climb. I got up to FL180 but only 178 knots. Can anybody help. I have the most up to ate service pack.

I have noticed several times that on Skyvector, there was Sigmets and that when I go for a flight, these Sigmets are not on AS16. What is the problem ?

How do you download the 4096 texture resolution package? I purchased ASCA from FSshop, but I do not recall seeing an option to purchase the HD package. Also, there is no option to separately purchase this HD package on their website/ Is the HD package a separate purchase, an optional download, or a feature "yet to come"? thanks! So, I recently got ActiveSky2016 weather engine, and I don't know how to get Weather Radar to work on either PMDG 737-800NGX or PMDG 777. Also, am I able to use it in this version of Hifisimtech products? Because in the PMDG Introduction, I've read that you need Active Sky Next, or later version. Thanks! I appreciate any help!

While using the AS16 demo I noticed I didn't see anything that looked like in-cloud motion effects. When I decided to buy AS16 I decided to also add ASCA: not because I expected it to be awesome but mainly because I do like the idea of automated variation. Apart from seeing very repetitive clouds and getting an awful colored sky I still don't get any in-cloud motion effects... I flew right through a few clouds during my last flights and well, that was it. No swirling clouds around my cockpit (I am flying the A2A Cherokee right now). Hello, I've been looking into switching from REX Texture Direct to AS16 mainly because of AS16's function to download live weather and because you get the weather radar in the PMDG planes working. Now I heard about using both REX and AS16 together. Can anyone tell me what this is all about?

Hi folks I have had AS16 for a few weeks now and all seems good. Today I loaded in a flight plan, checked the map to be sure it was there. Loaded FSX and entered the same flight plan into the GTN 750. So when tuning in 122.00, .02, .05 etc, I did not get any sound, nor a text along the top of the monitor. I checked FSX ATC and all is well there. What have I missed? Any help much appreciated!! Lennie G Old North State NC

ADMIN, feel free to move this post if I have posted it in the wrong forum. My problem is, how do I get live rain and snow on my runways? There is nothing more unrealistic than landing on a dry runway after a cloud burst or a snow storm. FYI I am using ASN and REX4. I am almost certain that I had this before, but am I dreaming?

Hi. I just did a fresh install of P3D again and i cant remember i have seen these kind of clouds.. i dont think it looks good at all. And they also looks so close to the ground? This is with Full Dynamics. Is there anything i can do or is it supposed to be like this?

Just to make sure I understand. If i want to use AS16 with both FSX and P3D, I will need to purchase two different products? ASN worked with both, and one license allowed you to use it with both. (in contrast) I like to use both and I must say I'm a bit disappointed if this is indeed the case. Perhaps I will stay with ASN. Still love Hi-Fi's products though, ASN has made my simming so much better!

Has any experienced total loss of clouds with the exception of Cirrus clouds with the new software engine? Ive noticed this in the past 24hrs when flying through a thunderstorm with clear skies and lightning, then I disabled AS2016 and re started it to see nothing, Ive also check the default weather themes ie gray and rainy, thunderstorms within the sim and still no clouds but lots of sunshowers Ive reinstalled the Rex textures thinking that AS2016 failed to load or inadvertently deleted my clouds, to find I still dont have clouds after the rex texture installs, there seems to a few people in the past few days reporting this issue Has any one had this problem and overc…

Just installed Active Sky 2016. Should I keep Active Sky Next or uninstall it? Also, although the program loaded correctly and the icon is is on my desktop, the splash doesn't pop up. It did at first and I loaded the settings but now I can't get it to shows again.

Here is the problem: Start FSX-SE on server/ start AS2016 on client all work fine. Now quit FSX-SE and AS2016 still connect, start FSX-SE and no weather loading. It seems if some process or service doesn't end when quitting FSX-SE, only if I sign out in Windows10 and sign in I get it back on. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi everyone! I am fairly new to AS16 and really like the weather engine. I also use the GTN750 with every plane in the hangar. When I construct the FP in AS16, then load the sim, I again have to enter the FP in the GTN750. Is there a way to migrate this from AS16 and not have to re-enter? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. So thats that. Ive been having some trouble with these two magnificent addon. When as16 is running trimming with the hat switch wont work properly. if i restart fsforce or connect/discconect usb sidewinder ff2 it weill beave erratically and i will loose hat switch trimming along trim feeling but ill have spring centering. If i start fsx without as16 fs force 2 will work properly. Im thinking it may be something with simconnect due to log file: FSF_HDW_VERIFY received by EXE. I sort of expected AS16 to solve the haze problem but right now I am flying through the mountains on a cloudy day and all I see around me are HARD lines of haze, like the haze is some sort of see through wall. Very awful. And when I look around with TrackIR the base of that wall moves all over the place. Totally unrealistic and immersion spoiling. All the trees around me are seem to move in and out of that wall. Hard to describe but it looks terrible. Also the haze constantly disappears INSTANTLY when I fly through it (or at random).
