ASN16 will not work with P3D versions below 3.2.3, correct? I have been happy with 3.0 and have never upgraded. I will have to bite that bullet if I want to use ASN16, correct?

Hello everybody Did I also purchased AS16 and am very happy with it. Now I have a problem with the icon of AS16. See photo: So my icon looks under programs, or even in HiFi folder. The program runs without any problems. Is there a solution for this? Thanks for AS16 greetings Sebastian

I have been reading the forums with hit and miss answers. I'm interested in AS16 without ASCA. I plan to use my current Rex Textures and wait for Rex Sky Force 3D to be released. In the mean time my question is does AS16 provide an improved weather engine over ASN?

When I asked the question earlier I was told I could install both ASN and AS16 and they would be separate installs. If I run AS16 after I ran ASN or vise versa they each keep prompting me with ASConnect Install/Updated Needed. This does not happen if I just stick with one or the other. I was wanting to compare the two. Is there a fix for this? And yes I close everything out before I start again.

Anyone have the issue with the ASN Weather Request popup window just open up without activating it from the addon menu? I did select it once but i closed the window, but it keeps appearing. I am running ASN 5921 P3dv3.2

When starting the sim, which weather setting should i use? Default is 'fair weather'. Should i keep using that, or something else? I see there is something called ActiveSky weather theme aswell. Fair weather includes clouds by default. Does AS16 remove those if there are no clouds irl?

Trying out AS16 this morning and noticed this. Looks like its to do with the new low visibility effects in AS16 as I've never seen anything like it before. It goes back to normal as you exit the cloud.

I get this message everytime I start AS16, I don't understand what I need to do to fix it, is there a way of fixing it? I cant find a setting for cloud density anywhere.

Specifically, is AS16 a continuation of the Active Sky Next series, or is that its own product line?

I went to load manual weather settings.. and I saw a measly 7 load settings. in ASN 1 Rain drops 1 Blizzard 1 Clear 1 HAze day 1 Hurricane blast 1 IMC I have some far more interesting Orbx and OPUS weather themes but I prefer injecting weather via ASN without pausing the sim and loading it via Menu Where can I get lots of weather schemes so I test them and use what I want. Any ideas?

I just upgraded to P3D vs3.3 and the AS Next beta will not install. I get a message that says a valid version must be installed and I do have a paid version installed. Can you please help? Thank you,

Has anyone ever seen this? When I fly in the mountains in P3D with ASN SP5 I see what you see in the screenshot as a very straight line of fog. I posted to HiFi and Damien said it was P3D and not ASN. I have FSX with ASN SP4 and have never once seen this. Can anyone confirm that they see this also in P3D? If so is there a fix? Can it be fixed? I have changed every conceivable setting to no avail. It looks terrible.

hello, my ASN loads the weather when i open FSX in the following directory C:​\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX but will not open where the 2nd copy of the game is located C:\FSX also when I first installed ASN I did it in the C:\FSX folder and then did it again because it poped up again, please help

Hello guys, I just bought Active Sky Next and I used PFPX to creat a flight plan. However, when I load the flight plan (.PLN) file, I got an error message "Unable to parse the requested flight plan!" Can anyone tell me why I have this error message and how to solve it? Thanks in advance. Franky

How can I get ASN to turn off automatically when FSX turns off? I would think there's a switch or something somewhere but I can't find anything.

I was browsing through the Flight Sim reddit when somebody pointed out that HiFi, the makers of Active Sky Next, released a new video on their YouTube channel hinting at a new product (possibly AS2016?). It looks like their new program will include textures and will be compatible with ASN to determine what kind of cloud textures are needed to accurately depict the weather. Or maybe it'll be its own weather engine that installs textures, like AS2012. It looks like (maybe) we can change textures in-game, which might be really cool. I have latest P3D and ASN. I have a problem that clouds are pooping out and disappears very rapidly. There is no any smooth transitions as i had in FSX. Is it just me - a matter of some settings, or is it common ASN behave in P3D ?

Hi, folks. I posted my issue on the ASN forum but so far I haven't gotten an answer. I use ASN with the new service pat h that allows you to disable multi layers in P3Dv3 (sorry, I forget the version number). It seems this has fixed a lot of the issues for a lot of people. For some reason, I am not one of the lucky ones. What happens is about 1-2 hours into my flight, I start to get stutters and these get worse over time. If I close ASN, then restart it, all is smooth again. This is repeatable. Before the latest build I was having zero issues - smooth flights from start to finish in any weather. Here's the crazy part. I have P3D v3. This is probably a very simple question but one I am curious about. Does ASN completley take over the weather or do you still have to use the sim weather to control cloud density and cloud draw distance. I have set the density to five layers in ASN but when I move the sim slider to the left most of the clouds disappear. So I think I have answered my own question but it seems that I may be doubling up on resources that do the same thing. Secondly, while flying yesterday in severe weather with lots of lightning I heard no thunder. The ASN startup has thunder so I am curious why I never heard thunder in that situation. Thanks,
