Hi, to any soul using AS16 Hotfix 2: Not sure how the following new feature works, stated in the changelog for Hotfix 2: "Visibility improvements in P3D: fixes some rendering issues and options syncs when volumetric fog disabled, adds disable haze layer functionality for P3D (with associated user option)" that is included in the Hotfix 2 of AS16 for P3D. Each time I disable haze functionality for P3D inside AS16 (with volumetric fog disabled in P3D), the check mark does not keep ON/CHECKED after re-start of AS16 and re-start of P3D, so very confusing how this operates and not clear at all for what purpose this functionality has been added. Hello, I have a question about active sky 16 and i was wondering if anyone had the answer. I am interested in getting active sky 16 and active sky cloud art. I am wanting to use rex soft clouds, AS16, and ASCA all together but the problem is I don't have rex 4 direct. I bought rex soft clouds by itself because at the time I bought REX 4 via steam (I used to fly with fsx SE) so it did not come with soft clouds so that is why. I now switched to using P3D v3.3 so i was wondering if I have to buy rex 4 direct with soft clouds again. Thanks!

Hi The in cloud motion effect does not seem to be working. It is enabled in the menu and it did work before I did the recent hotfix. anyone any ideas why this may be? Help appreciated. Thanks. Rich

I purchased AS 16 yesterday taking advantage of the discount for being an Active Sky Nest user. What I like to know is if it is safe to remove Active Sky Next from my computer without it affecting AS 16? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi All, I have FSX set to send voice to my headset. However when i dial in 122.00 to get departure weather it does not come to my headset but over the aircraft sound. Is there a setting somewhere that i need to get to, and change it? Would like all voice to the headset. Thanks for help!!!

Hi I have AS 16 bought and Active Sky Cloud art . With Active Sky C loud kind I've huge problems . there can be no threads in the simulator install no matter what subject I select always comes this stupid Error message. I hang a picture with at . I tried the virus scanner to completely disable it does not work again . Then comes another problem ASCA can not even be uninstalled the while your staller runs but can not go on I need it through Windows Explorer by deleting uninstall what's going on the folder ? As a long time user of ASN, today during my initial runs with AS16 I noticed that sometimes when I fly through clouds they shift left or right, like they moving out of my way as I fly through them. I never experienced this before with ASN with REX. I saw a video on YouTube yesterday and he was displaying the same things. Is there a setting I need to adjust?

Hi Friends Just bought AC16 two days ago, and still trying to figure it out. I have entered a flight plan into AC16 and clicked load; then started FSX and entering the flight plan into GTN750; all seems to go well but into the flight i get a message "need to file a flight plan to get a more accurate weather picture" or something like that. It appears a couple times during the flight. I thought i had loaded the flight plan. What did i do wrong, or what do i need to do? When I landed i jumped on my other computer to check the METARs for the arrival airport; and the weather seems to be the same at the airport as reported in the current METAR. Thanks for letting …

I just wanted to say that the HiFi Tech support desk is probably one of the best I've ever had dealings with. I had a problem with getting my upgrade serials from the vendor who had server problems. HiFi worked with the vendor and sent me the serial keys within a couple of hours. Active Sky 16 and ASCA are both fantastic products by the way. Paul

So just recently purchased fsx:se and im really digging having all the addons on steam and being installed automatically when i change rigs. Any plans for hifi to have as16 like they have asn? Im holding on buying as16 because its clearly a better produt tan ASN, but it is not in steam. ( PUN INTENDED )

I get his error in popup and textures stop loading after maybe a 100 NM enroute If I close ASCA and reload it, I get textures for the missing part which otherwise is clear skies until destination which last night was 800 NM without clouds even though the metars were calling for them as seen in AS16

When using ASN, active sky would be an option for the weather inside of P3D's startup menu, but in AS 2016, it's not there. So how can I set P3D to use AS 16?

Just finished a flight using AS 16 plus ASCA in P3D. As a matter of reference, I used to have ASN and Rex 4 with Soft Clouds installed. Installation was simple for both AS 16 and ASCA. Make sure to set your theme to global dynamic in ASCA if you want to have automatically changing weather textures. Fortunately I happened to fly from partly cloudy to full overcast conditions, with some rain in between. The clouds themselves are quite nice, and I would say even nicer than Rex. Hi all - Just completed my first full flight using the PMDG 737-700 NGX using both AS16 and ASCA. I flew from KTPA to KBWI using Live WX and ASCA Global Dynamic setting. Flight was at 1145z today cruising at FL 370. Route was : BAYPO7 DUNKN J75 CAE J52 RDU GOOOB THHMP RAVNN6. I used 1024 textures for the clouds but kept my original sky textures. Hello. I have a question/request about a ASN characteristic. Currently, when an airport has a METAR without wind information caused by the anemometer being out of service (represented by the field //////KT where the wind direction and speed used to be), ASN interprets that field as zero wind. This can be verified at Lajes field in the Azores (LPLA). The anemometer is inop and the surface wind injected by ASN is 0KT. Hi all- I had bought a version of Active Sky Next a while back but it's currently not installed on my present machine. The discounted/upgrade registered at Simmarket. Does ASN need to be installed on my machine in order to 'update' it or will the code work in the trial version I'm currently using? Thanks, Mark
