Hi I got a problem with ASN which I purchased about two years ago. I live in Iran. ASN worked perfectly until recently. It is now about two weeks that ASN could not connect to HiFi Simulation servers to download the weather. I have to use VPN services to get to HiFi servers. Also I could not access to HiFi Simulation website and have to use VPN to do so. It is frustrating that it happened as most of the international restrictions imposed on Iran are being lifted.

Hi, I'm using ASN with P3D3.1, currently at 4.0, Build 5848. When I start it, I get informed about the update. Downloaded it in the P3D section (ASNext_P3D_Update_B5868), and started the exe. Stops with error : 'A valid ASN version must be installed for this update'. Started with 'Run as administrator', and UAC is disabled (never notify). What am I doing wrong ? Mike

While the FSX: Steam preview is loading I now get an error that ASconnect is not compatible with my fsx steam version. However it worked before I installed REX Essentials+Overdrive and REX Texture Direct with Soft Clouds. I tryed reintalling simconnect, asconnect, active sky next and I'm stumped

I am interested in ASN for my multiple-PC system running P3D v2.5. One PC is the "server" and the other two are "clients" dedicated to displaying external views. The system is networked together by Opus FSI, with FSIserver.exe running on the server system and FSIclient.exe running on the client systems. I currently get my "weather" from OpusFSI running on the server system. My question is, is this type of system compatible with running ASN? If running ASN on the "server", would the weather be "echoed" to the client systems for external views? Would the client systems need to run ASN as well? Hi. I have p3d v 3.1 installed and asn with rex soft clouds. System spec: cpu i5 4460 3.2ghz turbo 3.4. gpu gtx 750 2gbddr5. 8gb ram. 1tb hdd. With active sky next on and weather overcast I get 12-17 fps and wihout active sky next and weather is overcast I get 18-26 fps. How can I get more fps?

Am working through some ctd issues on P3D v3 I run ASN networked Under my p3d process tree is something called as_audio.exe. Under that tree is a greedy little thing called conhost.exe that is using 2.3 gb. What is this and is there anything I can do to reduce the system overhead? Regards David

I seem to remember AI aircraft visible in the FSX version of ASN on the moving map. How come this is not implemented in the P3D version?

Hello all! I am new to posting on this forum. I have looked for about an hour before deciding to ask. I restored my laptop to factory settings and was reinstalling all of my items. FSX box, PMDG 747-400, 777-232LR,-300ER. ASN then updated to 4, PFPX(which uses ASN for its weather for route planning). I open ASN first, then PFPX to plan, close PFPX and open FSX. So, after choosing my 777, load my flight plan, which changes my location, I make sure my time is correct, then click on my final box (3) Weather. Under themes it had always given me the option to allow me to choose AS to create along with the other default theme settings. Did I miss something in the ASN settings …

Running SP4 on Client PC. Does Weather radar activate from Client, or just the Server? Don't want to install Gauge from Client unless I understand----I have it running on Server, but it's 'down' when the ASN is running on client. Doug

Hi, I wrote a simple weather radar gauge for FSX that uses the ActiveSky Next API. It has a tilt and range function, and displays areas of precipitation ahead of the aircraft. You can download it at gum.co/bryn (it's free, but you're welcome to support the coffee addiction I developed writing the gauge). After mega tries and forum help, I already have a successful SimConnect setup : am running my vPilot on a client---I guess this means SCnnct is talking across the network from server to client. After reading the Networking section in the ASN manual: * Do I need another license to install ASN on my client (XP) ? * Is the client SimConnect located inside the ASN program, then, on my client? I purchased ASN SP3 for FSX and tried it out. The main screen stated weather mode was active and it was waiting for FSX. I launched FSX and checked the dropdown addon-menu to get the ASN weather report but there was no entry! Even CTRL+11 would not work! I know ASN was running because the task manager said so. Trying to install the latest Update but each time I try to run it, I get a message ' A Valid ASN Version Must Be Installed To Run This Update'. Eh? I have a valid ASN version which has just accepted the Key after I used that KeyReset Tool thinking maybe that was the problem.. Anyone else encountering this problem trying to run this Update?

Hello, im verry confused.... im flown over the half earth, and there is no chance to get an really clear sky in live mode. everytime ASNEXT generates any clouds in sky. that is verry eye-candy but not real life! how set it up to get an really clear sky? when i try to set cloud layers to zero, then i get it, but that seems to disable the interpolation between stations.

I have been Active Sky Evolution user for many years now, first with only FS2004 and now with both FS2004 and FSX. I decided not to use ASN because it did not support FS2004. When I use ASE with FS2004 it always loads the current weather for the location of my aircraft in the sim. It updates that weather in real time as I move through the virtual sky. However, when I use ASE with FSX it always loads weather "Using Offline Mean Valid Time". Today, 1/5/2016, it loaded weather for 1/3/2016 as of 0300 GMT. Saturday 1/2/2016 I flew in a VATSIM event to "Bring Santa Home" with the ZAN ARTCC and the oflline mean time it loaded was for 1/29/2016. How it could pick a dat…

Hi All, I have been running all my network addons on a spare dual core Dell laptop running Windows 7 with MacAfee package from Bell Canada I decided to setup Bootcamp on my i5 iMac as it is much newer and more powerful. The only difference is that I thought I would give windows 8.1 a go. Initially everything looked great and I have ASN, EFB & PFPX installed and running. Did a couple of flights with no issues. The next day I started to get the "Cannot control ambient weather" error then ASN would close. After some messing about I think the issue seems to be MacAfee. I'm using P3Dv3.1 with ASN B5833. I'm flying in live weather. I can see clouds from the cockpit but when I change view to outside spot view all clouds are disappeared. hi.. i cant disable the real time updating...it keeps showing the "closest metar" tape all the time...id like the same as the fs9 static option....and it goes from completely clear to totally foggy in an instant...there was a way to smooth this out in the past but i cant find the thread....any ideas? thanks for listening...
