Hello, I started with HiFi support forums and their suggestions have not solved my issue which is...is there a way to re-size the Weather Request window that's activated from the P3D add-on menu? I was farting around with DSR and once I found out it wasn't for me, and reverting back to 1920x1080, the request window now takes up 2/3 of my screen. Their suggestions included: This is handled and controlled by FSX/P3D itself. Just click and drag one of the corners. If all else fails, check the .cfg file and see if you can remove the location/size info for the window, or you can even recreate your .cfg (backup, delete, let recreate) from scratch. How do I add a new weather station to AS 6? I want to add the new Bangkok airport VTBS. The weather between VTBS and VTBD is not always the same and the opposing wind directions cause havoc on landing approaches. Can you help? Thanks

Hi all: I am running ASE and really like what I see. However I do not leave my computer connected to the internet during long flights. Could someone please tell me the proper procedure with ASE to download weather, then go offline with ASE and launch FS9. I've tried various things but I think I am confusing ASE. Thanks

Hi all, I just have one quick (and hopefully simple) question - I am still using P3D 2.4 as I much prefer it, but is it possible to upgrade ASN to the service pack 2, latest build using P3D 2.4? I ask because I keep getting a notification every time I start ASN that a new update is available but when I did upgrade I got the dreaded ambient temp issue, so I had to revert back to the older version. Is there a way to turn the update request at start up off? oops that's actually two questions.. Thanks for your time folks, I love ASN, I couldn't ever fly without it Steve

Recently, i purchase the ASN License key from PC Aviator.. everywhing ok, in the second window, where i select "ASX" i think it mean "Active Sky for FSX"... and, i put my license, i got a window "VERIFICATION ERROR" ....... what can i do? :/

It says ASN cannot control ambient weather parameters correctly, thus cannot function properly at this point and will shut down. please make sure you have proper rights/ownership of the program file x86 folder and have trusted/excluded ASN from your security software, as well as the simulators as_srv folder and included .dll modules

Hi, Yesterday, APR13 during sunset at Denver-CO KDEN, approx 23:30 ZULU, the ATIS at KDEN under ASN active read winds 350/17 A3011 while all other services I use announced winds 170/17 A3011. Temperature and other components were the same, but If the winds difference was not by 180 degrees, I may not have noticed. This is the first time ASN brought me so strange numbers for a single location. My destination was KPHX and there the ATIS was OK. Any ideas? Best

Hello Sorry if this has asked before, what setting is it in asn that needs to be selected or changed to help with the wind shifts and engine spooling issue on the aerosoft 319?? I read it somewhere but forgot what it was.

Can someone who has the L-39 please check if you're getting a MSVCR80.dll CTD. It happens a few aeconds after loading the L-39. The L-39 does not crash with ASN uninstalled. Just installed the latest update and after about 30 minutes of flying I get a C+++ runtime error and FSX shuts down. I didn't have a problem before installing the update. Any ideas?

Having trouble with ASN , TrackIR and (with or without) OPUS... I set up ASN with FSX-SE, I already use TrackIR and OPUS. I switched OFF the OPUS weather engine but kept the DHM and Cameras active for effects and the ability to move eye position easily in the different cockpits with TIR.. and enabled ASN. I found that (more noticeable in the helicopter) the aircraft would 'get stuck' like it was on rails a lot of the time and no matter how much I moved the Jstick and rudder pedals it would keep moving in a direct line until it freed itself, usually after a good few seconds. This is so bad that I have to find a solution or I can't use ASN. As an ex…

When I first tried out ASN + P3Dv2.5, the first thing I noticed was that the "low visibility" effect while flying into overcast stratus clouds is gone - and is still gone after SP2. In FSX, when I ticked the "enchance overcast conditions", flying into a layer of overcast stratus will reduce the visibility in FSX to the lowest, thus, simulating a low visibility overcast. However, in P3Dv2.5 + ASN SP2, this feature is gone. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm still using the original AS for 2004...yeah, I know it's old...(so am I) :( . Anyway, until recently it had been working fine as far as downloading/representing winds aloft DIR/SPEED...as compared to actual forecast winds listed on NOAA,ADDs, etc. Not sure how long it's been this way... but now AS downloaded wind speeds are about 1/2 what they should be at the higher altitudes. It's not the program itself not applying the proper speed from the downloaded data, it's the data itself(current_wx_snapshot.txt inside AS folder)that is showing these reduced speeds. Hi Hi, I fly FSX and to give me work and enhance the whole experience of flying I use FsCaptain. A lot of the time the FsCaptain program can't give me the latest weather from some 'Weather Stations' as they are 'Not Set in FS). I read somewhere that Microsoft no longer deals with Jeppen and maybe this is why. So, as the title suggests - If I purchase and install Active Sky Next, will all the weather stations in FSX get updated and become active again ? I do fly 'Bush' quite a lot. Since I upgraded to SP2, FSX and ASN aren't communicating with each other. The SimConnectionLog shows Sim Msg: fsx_simconnect is NOTHING.... I've tried everything and it is not working.

Good Morning. I had this error 4 times now so though id raise it. When flying in flight on FSX sp2 dx10 fixer using asn next, I import the flight plan into the asn and awya we go. Then mid flight the sim pings up the box saying there is a r6025 error, however it doesnt CTD it, I can carry on. If I carry on the sim will keep what ever weather is in the sim at the point of the r6025 error. so for example if youre in the cruise its 70 knots at 180 then when you land the wind says at 70 knots at 180. If i go to the fsx menu and try and clear weather then it cant do it. When I go to asn the software program is frozen and by clicking on it it wont close…

Hello, I just bought ASN as a replacement for Opus. I haven't run it yet as I wanted to read the manual and watch some YT's but since doing that I'm a bit confused. I notice you can create a flight plan in ASN and you can load one too. What type do you load? Do they mean the kind of flight plan you create in FSX which I think is pretty poor, or do they mean a PFPX plan? The manual wasn't really clear on flight plans. I noticed it said you couldn't use some features till you loaded a flight plan. So do I have to first run FSX, create a flight plan using the default and crummy one, exit FSX THEN run ASN and then finally load it into ASN? Any help will be very much…

Hi there! I have updated ASN for P3D to the latest beta Version (SP2), and updated FSUIPC to the most recent version as well, but ASN doesn´t connect to P3D (amber text on the bottom of ASN´s UI saying: "Waiting for simulator"). What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

At Return to Misty Moorings, we have several "added" airports. When we do a flight plan starting at one of these, (Misty's Place PF20), Active Sky says it it is not a "recognized" ICAO. Is there a way of getting Active Sky to see these? Thank you. Doug/RTMM
