Hi there, Like the subject says, my ASN copy refuses to update. If I want to update weather I need to exit ASN and restart for it to download the newest weather info. I tried changing the download interval but with no effect. Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do? I'm using FSX box edition, I fly exclusively with LEVEL-D's old 767. I have other addons working in the background, like FSCaptain, FSRealtime, flightsimlabs spotlights (demo, for testing) and ProFlight Emulator for ATC, but appart from FSCaptain and FSL spotlights (recent adittions) all the others have worked fine with ASN... I have the 5707 build. Thank you! Alex

Hi all I am running ASN (SP3) and FSX. When I load up ASN then FSX, ASN just has a message at the bottom in yellow saying "Waiting for Simulator". Can anyone with more technical experience point me toward some useful things to try? Thanks and fly safe! Darren

Hi friends, I was planning to buy REX 4 texture direct for my fsx steam but after I saw Active Sky Next also available on steam, I have decided to buy both. But there is a confusion, I would like to know what they individually do? Are both of them weather simulations that enhance the weather in fsx. REX I think is related to textures and clouds, this is why I am very confused between both. Apart from the PMDG 737Ngx and Concorde X (will soon become steam compatible) I do not own any addons, these will be by first weather addons. I will be migrating to steam edition once the Concorde X becomes steam compatible hence I am purchasing these addons in advance. Will …

Hello: When I try to load weather files with a .wx extension I get an error message stating unknown format or corrupt data. In my instance it does not matter what weather mode I am in. How can this problem be solved? Thanks Don

Hi, I freshly installed FS9. I also have AS2004.5 installed. First startup worked fine. Now I get an download error right after the program start. The download status shows 10kb and then stops. Then it says "download failed, will try again with next update" My internet connection is perfectly fine, no firewall or anti virus issues. Weather download via FS9 works too. Any ideas? HI When I start Active Sky Next , I get the following error : Radar Data Network Error ASR radar data network could not be established. This may be due to the configured port 19284 already being used. I checked firewall , etc... could not find anything Can somebody help, thank. Mulgrave

I was flying into KIND on VATSIM tonight using ASN, set to live weather The METAR called for 10SM FEW200, yet at 3000' AGL I'm running into clouds. I checked with the VATSIM controller and his METAR was identical to mine, so he was a bit surprised when I stated that I couldn't see the airport due to cloud coverage. I then tried FSGRW and there were no clouds at 3000', so is this perhaps something in the way I have ASN setup?

Hi Folks, Just wanted to ask if anyone else is seeing weather lately that is not true to life with ASN. In the UK today we have a very low pressure and the clouds are scudding across the sky at a rate of knots lots of rain, however ASN just depicts this even with Enhance overcast select as massive clear blue sky patches with clouds and rain? The other day thick Fog here to and ASN just gave clouds to 300 feet then totally clear yet visibility was 100 meters? Anyone else not seeing a more realistic set of weather. I appreciate you will not see the life like weather that is out the window but this seems pretty of the mark. All the Best Mark

Folks I had ASN connected in a network configuration in accordance with the ASN documentation but after installing an unregistered version of FSUIPC4 ( which I need for running another application) I seem to have lost my ASN connection? I checked my server simconnect.xml file and note that the <scope> line reads "global" which is correct when using FSUIPC according to the ASN documentation. Not sure what else may be wrong. Any help re-establishing my connection, while keeping FSUIPC4, would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I've been flying LTFJ-LEBL, running ASN SP3 on FSX Deluxe edition. I noticed that the METARs are stuck on the airports. I just updated to the latest beta version of ASN in hopes of fixing this problem but I am using P3D 3.0 and when I bring up XGauge I am not able to turn it on. The gauge is there but when I press the PWR button it doesn't do anything. Trying to get my radar to work. Any ideas? Brandon

My question is, how do I get it to work in P3D3.0? Do I have to reinstall. Is there a different version? Thanks.

The weather is totally wrong today in ASN for FSX. I'm checking the weather source where it gets it from and ASN weather is well off.

Hi If someone can help me, as the title says. I get a massive drop in fps when using live weather on ASN. When I manually set the weather, thunderstorms and CB clouds I get about 30-45 fps but as soon as I set it to live weather, when I'm flying and there's a few overcast clouds around me, it drops to 10 fps or even less. I have tried reducing my antialiasing to 4xS. I use Rex for clouds as well. I have them at 1024. My specs: i7 3770 @ 3.40ghz turbo boost 3.90 Gtx 650 8gb ddr3 ram And I use fsx not P3d

I am using ASV6.5 with FS9, I am having difficulty as when I start the flight AS keeps updating the weather every few minutes using the Airport that the flight started at. Which setting do I need to change to make AS use the weather at any point in the flight. Any help would be appreciated. John. Cypilot

Could someone please confirm that older versions(talking AS2004)are no longer supported/usable? I have been out of the hobby for a while and just noticed when opening my old AS2004 WX engine it no longer downloads any WX data. Thanks.

On starting P3D v3 (ASN build 5765) I get a simconect error warning regarding MS flight simulator X. sorry can't give the full correct message as its only up for a second. this has only occurred with this recent Beta build. every thing seems to be working ok. bob

Windows 10 FSX Delux SP2 SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0 I have setup my SimConnect configurations (.xml, .cfg) according to the ASN documentation. The client is connected to the shared FSX locations on the server properly. When I look at the SimConnect Log it shows two IPv4 connections. Am I missing something? HI Guys I am having an issue with active sky next sp3 I get sudden fps drops from 27 to 17 18 in pmdg 777 p3d v3 now In p3d v2,5 I had same issue but there was a setting which I forget in asn that I unticked or ticked cant recall, and my fps went up again Now is the same setting in active sky next sp3? any help is greatly appreciated thank you Mike

Hi! I run XPAX on a network machine, but I can't adjust the loudness. When clicking on sound off or try to adjust the sound volume on the video screen nothing happens. Rewind, forward, stop and play work.

I7 4790K at 4.6. R9 380 not overclocked. DX10 with Steve's fixer. This is absolutely awesome for the weather and other effects - a real game changer. I can hold 30 frames per second easily as well. But... I have it on a weeks trial at the moment, and the only thing spoiling it is the large black flashes in the sky as you rotate your viewpoint. It seems the high level clouds load slowly when they come in from the edge of vision leaving realy nasty black polygons for a second. It really spoils the immersion. Things I have tried... 1.
