After upgrading to ASN SP3, I have noticed several flight dynamics issues. The most apparent one is resistance to banking the aircraft. For example, tonight doing pattern work in benign conditions, I tried but was unable to roll the aircraft into a normal 30 bank turn even with full control wheel/joystick input. I have also noticed that occasionally the nose will yaw opposite to banked turn direction, in effect causing an outside slip. No rudder is being applied. I noticed this first over the weekend flying the NGX during a morning of practice approaches in low IMC conditions at KICT and KHUT. I'd really like to purchase ASN after an extremely succesful trial period, but the price is very steep for me atm, considering it's only weather injection (although pretty damn good at it). Does this product ever go on sale? I might have to wait...

I have ASN installed and I'm running ASN. I want t make sure I have it installed correctly. In Prepard 3D in the Settings>Weather do I need to select 'ActiveSky Weather Theme' under 'Weather Themes'? I have ASN set to Live Weather Mode. I start ASN first and then Prepard 3D and when I ALT-TAB after the sim is running the bottom of the ASN windows says: Wx Mode: Live Real Time Sim Connection: Waiting for Simulator Current Activity: Idle I would have expected Sim Connection to indicate that its been connected to the Prepard 3D. I wondering if anyone can confirm if Theme Selection is required and if Sim Connection status should be different pleas…

I recently did a fresh install of FSX and all the bells and whistles. I am having "font Issue" within AS2012. I do have Aerosoft buses installed but the Airbus Fonts are disabled. Please see attached pic. The fonts inside the status screens are the issue. I did do a quick forum search but font is a common word Thanks

I download the trial version of Next, SP3. It ran fine yesterday, but today when I launch it, I get the following: "Verification Problem There was a problem verifying your trial license with our servers. Please check your internet connection and try again later." I can launch Opus FSI with no problem, so I don't think that there is an internect problem on my end. I did a quick search of the FAQs, but nothing came up. Any ideas of what I should check? Thanks

Hello pilots, I BOUGHT ASN from it's ORIGINAL website back in April of 2015. For awhile, everything was working great! But lately, I've been having some issues with it. It has been giving me this error message saying; "Error! ASN cannot control ambient weather parameters correctly, thus it cannot function properly at this point and will shut down. Please make sure you have proper rights/ownership of the Program Files (x86) folder and have trusted/excluded ASN from your security software, as well as the simulator's as_srv folder and included .dll modules." Hi I read that in ASN, you can only go back two years for historical wx but when I put in a date that was three years back, it worked. Can someone clarify the true capabilities of the historical wx mode? thx Lee

I need help with this, I know there's a texture that you can delete but I don't remember what it was. So basically whenever I try to fly in rain my screen flashes (flickers) and it has this weird dot in the middle of it kind of. But this only occurs when the precip. changes from light to moderate to heavy or vice versa. I also do use precipitfx, that could also be a problem as well, but not too sure. Any help will do thanks... And messed up the title whoops...

Before I bite the bullet on ASN and REX4 TD a question please... My understanding is that ASN is a real weather program without its own built in texture addons which is where REX4 TD comes in with its textures and soft clouds? Appreciate the assistance... Cheers...

Hi, this was my second flight since the new SP ( CYWG-CYQR), and I found that ASN gives a different weather from that of FSX. In my destination ASN reported winds 130/7 but I found out that in FSX the wind was around 310/8. In addition to that the winds at altitude of 40,000ft were according to ASN 290/80 but in my flight 270/25. PFPX's wx was similar to ASN. What is wrong? Petteri Pulkkinen

Sorry, I know it's still officially a day off, but I wanted to know if I should do this or not. I run FSX on a Win 7 workstation, and then network weather from ASN to a Win8.1 laptop. Will ASN work in a networked configuration from a windows 10 laptop to a Win7 desktop (FSX on Win7)?? thanks!

As I intend to install Windows 10 I wonder if active sky 2012 is compatible with Windows 10 ? Also,I have active sky 2012 and wish to upgrade to Active Sky Next. Do I have to buy the program (ASN ) or is it possible to upgrade from active sky 2012 ? Thank you for your information H.Werni

For the entire day I've been unable to get a weather file (AS6.5). AS first tries each server and gets about 10k of data then stops. Is it me, or somewhere else. I last used AS about 3 days ago with no problem. Mike

AS6.5 is now downloading weather again for me. Suspecting the latest W7 updates, I used CCleaner to clean out the registry, and voila! AS is now working again. HiFi does still need to work ontheir website registration as the CApTCHA image and text entry box are not appearing. Mike

Hello I bought ASN and I have the PMDG 737, 777 SP1D and the WXR not working I did with ASN heavy rain storm or something like that and I dont see anything even when I do the WXR test ther is nothing on the ND

I am trying to figure out about making clouds. For instance I can choose what kind of cloud, base and max altitude of cloud and what type of precipitation. There is a box that says cloud thickness and can type in a number from 0 to I think like 9000 or 99000. I can't remember off the top of my head. If I put 0 does that mean the cloud is transparent and the higher the number the more dense the cloud is? Has anybody ever messed with this setting?

Hi, I have been trying to get ASN to work across a local network (win 7-64). I have believed that I have followed the directions completely but it still doesn't see the simulator on the server. In looking at the manual it says to try the AITraffic test which is supposed to be in the SDK folders but it isn't. I found the AITraffic files/folder but there is no AItraffic.exe I have successfully got Simpluggins Panel builder to work perfectly across perfectly between the two computers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brett

Dumb question I'm sure... Once I've selected live weather mode on ASN and launched the simulator, which weather settings in the FSX menu should I select to allow ASN to work correctly?
