Hi...is there a template for optimal settings for AS6? The problem I'm having is that the weather goes from clear to overcast in an instant...I used to be able to make it more gradual in the settings but I forgot how... Any ideas?

Hi All, I've searched using various terms but can't find anything on this. I'm having trouble with the drawing of clouds. Here is a pic ... Does anyone know what causes this is, or should I post somewhere else? I am steering toward ORBX, because I have only seen this problem whilst appraoching England, and whilst approaching Norway and I have both in FTX, although this pic was captured whilst approaching Norway without FTX Norway activated in scenery library. I have an AS16 shortcut on my taskbar. I used it during a flight to look at the map, then I closed it. After that my two shortcuts, the one on the taskbar and the one on the desktop, stopped working. Before I'm told to post this in the Simconnect forum. I have referenced the ASN manual. Followed all the steps. Sharing of proper folders on Server. Made all the changes to the simconnect files. Made changes to those files based on information from AVSIM's P3d document. The weather gets downloaded to ASN on the client. But still get the message "waiting for simulator" I have obviously missed something. But I get no errors to give me a clue. Just the "Waiting for Simulator". Hi, Lately I have tried to fly the Aerosoft Twin Otter in rather extreme weather in FSX, both in Iceland and UK. Today I had several tries to fly from Stornoway (EGPO) to Barra (EGPR). The AS16 weather icon was showing thunderstorms around EGPO. hi guys, ive been having problems with AS2016 and P3D 3.4.18.19475 Since rebuilding and starting a fresh install of windows ive been getting P3D hanging resulting in having to do a hard reboot, the most annoying things due to the hang there is no report or event recorded to review the data ive also formatted the drive and done a fresh install of windows and P3D since having this problem in the past week ive been constantly getting these hangs/freezes during every flight ranging from 5mins to 30mins into a flight again today Ive done a fresh reinstall of P3D after another format and slowly added a addon then conducted the same flight until it hanged my flight each ti…

Hi Guys I have just bought the ASCA from HiFi tech and downloaded the update also using the AS16 but when I load up P3 I have no clouds even if I select the Active sky theme i only get high cirrus couds yet it says theme loaded ok in ASCA. Can anyone help

I am having issues and I don't know if it is AS16 or Rex texture direct or both. For starters, AS seems to load the same weather regardless of the airport. For example in Chicago right now there is not a cloud in the sky. However the P3D Chicago looks relatively overcast and gray. Also, the sky is not very blue when I am through the clouds. Let me know what I can post here to help figure this out. The clouds also don't look very realistic. I'm sure I have something set up wrong. Let me know.

Greetings, I'm an happy asn user from launch. Now i'm trying as16 trial version and i have to say i'm truly amazed! Great work both regarding visuals and perfomance. BUT then i noticed that the program needs internet connect to work could not believe it! That is really a shame because some users like me have non flat/limited internet connection so fly offline and connect just in case of need. I appreciated that in asn you could download and save historical data and than use it afterwards in offline mode. I doubt otherwise i would have bought it. hello since i installed ASN (not sure if it's the culprit) i have no more precipitation with my weather engines (with only ASN running i have zero precipitation, and even if i don't launch ASN and use only Opus i don't get any precipitation anymore). Weather seem to be injected correctly because the runway is wet and the dark clouds are there, but nothing is falling from the sky. If i set the weather from the 'FSX native weather menu' precipitation do work ok, I use FSX acceleration with latest FSUIPC (not registered) and i'm lost .. for some reason every time i install something in FSX i then spend hours trying to make it work correctly hehe ... anyone …

Hello HIFI, how to insert an own cloud set into ASCA? The Art Tools only will integrate Sky Color Textures.

Prior to a session on FSX I load AS2016 and then load FSX. AS2016 tells me that it is connected to FSX. In the Free Flight mode FSX indicates under weather that the selected WX engine is AS2016. However after getting airborne in the B737NGX, there is no wind direction and speed displayed on the ND. This confirmed by the fact that the GS and TAS match. If I go back into settings and use FSX's world weather selection, I get the wind information displayed on the ND. Neil Bradley

First of all.. Merry Xmas Guys. I have some problems with new SP1 for AS16. When i'm flying near/trough clouds my frames drops from 55a60 fps to 15 a 20 fps. (with VC and outside camera) Already tried the following. Unistalled and installed AS16 no results, changed clouds in REX4 no results, deleted cfg from p3d no results, changed settings in p3d no results. This problem pops up after installing SP1. (No other things installed such Nvidea driver or windows update) Any help?

This seems like an odd one and rather unsure what to make of it. Yesterday I was on a 45 minute flight from Redding in Nocal across to Lake Tahoe in my A2A Cherokee. I mostly fly with AS16 and this was no exception. The flight plan was loaded both into the FSX-SE and automatically into AS, the flight went well for the first fifteen minutes, after which I switched on AP and left the sim for about 15 minutes. On my return, I noticed the fps had dropped massively from 30+ down to a stuttering of 20 or less. Hi Guys, I am looking to buy AS 2016 due of the great deal online on fspilot, however I am a bit puzzled with regards to rex soft cloud and AS 2016 combination! What exactly is the dynamic texture which is claimed to be a key factor if using AS 2016 + ASCA? I.E. If I fly from London to Milan and there is change in weather AS 2016 would still inject it no? I saw the video and honestly I do not get the differences. The second one seems to be the in cloud motion which was pretty self explanatory. I hope you can clarify. ps. Hi I installed AS16 the day it was released for FSX, but I have notice I am not getting any clear air turbulence (cruise level) like I did when running AS Next. I do get the turbulence in clouds and sometimes at the lower levels, but during cruise nothing at all. Is anyone else having the same problem or does anyone know way this is?

I have done too many reinstalls of P3Dv3, my fault I admit. However I have just done a reinstall of v3.4 and ASNext will no longer connect to the sim. Each time I get a message to say I have an earlier version of P3D which is not compatible with ASConnect and no link is made. I only have v3 of the sim installed so I would be grateful if you might advise me how to navigate around this error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ASNext without success, the same message pops up, and the sim sets itself to 'clear all weather'.

Google searches are reporting that the HiFi web site may be hacked. If anyone has a contact at HiFi, can they let them know please.

But since a few weeks ago, I've the impression that there might be something wrong with my turbulence settings: Flying the iFly 744 V2 and the Level-D 767 on long haul flights I experience a strange autopilot behavior when encountering turbulence: The aircraft can't hold the selected MCP ALT anymore, and begins to deviate from that altitude in both directions. I have all permissions active. I have Run as Admin for the execute What is happening, and not with FSX...is that it runs...loads the weather, goes to idle, waits to connect with P3D, ...when P3D runs, it goes green, and says connected to P3D, then I get the two error screens come up...it cannot log, and AS server does not connect. All is installed properly, all permissions are active, no security ware is blocking the program.
