Can anyone help me with this... never an issue but now as I am using a new sever access... At first I thought it may have been the update but I deleted re installed without the update and now still doing it This License is currently been used from another IP address etc etc...

Hello, Found this error in P3D V4 content error "[error.0] error=Error loading "as_srv\as_btstrp.dll." in "C:\Users\Emile\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\DLL.xml.". DLL is 32 bit. A 64 bit version is required." Really an error? Thanks in advance

Hi folks, Wondering if I place my a/c on an airport in the direct path of the eclipse with AS16 running, will I see it??? And maybe jump ahead several states and see it again? Maybe someone already has a flight plan......just wondering!

Hi Guys, I have AS2016 for Prepar3d V4 on a networked machine and it had been working flawlessly. Recently rebooted both machines and I can no longer get Active sky to connect. Both computers see each other. permissions seem appropriate and haven't changed. AV software is off and I don't see any blocked traffic. I checked simconnect and that seems ok and appropriate. WideFS on the networked computer seems to connect just fine. Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this? Thank You Jason Also posted at HiFi forums but often find get quicker responses here

I recently purchased and attempted to install AS16 for P3d v.4 in my Windows 10/64 system. The AS16 Install proceeds normally, the installer then prompts to install AS Connect and does so apparently. I enter the key #, and it is accepted, and AS16 launches. I then enter a flight plan, minimize AS 16 and start P3dV4. I select a flight scenario with my origin airport, click OK, and the program starts to load data and textures, etc. The loading of the flight is then interrupted with an error message stating that "AS Connect logging does not appear to be enabled." Hi, I just switched to P3Dv4 (I also have FSX). I noticed notable differences between AS4 temperatures and actual/real/AS16 temperatures. Example: At KSQL (San Carlos), AS4 = 20C on ground, 28.87 at 3000, 28.65C at 6000, 25.65C at 9000ft! Then 9.96C at 12000ft. In real and in AS16 temperature on ground is 15C, 14.93C at 3000, 21.01C at 6000, 17.14C at 9000, 5.28C at 12000 I have this problem every day with FS4 from the day one. I am reposting what I started on HIFI forum( no joy on the interest there), hoping that I'm not the only one with this observations; I would like to revisit concept of change for visibility in different locations. The comparison would be to AS2012 where change of visibility relative to location, not altitude, or cloud entry, was controlled by FSUIPC and because of that, was highly adjustable to somebody's preference. For some reason FSUIPC doesn't have that feature anymore heading to change her visibility controlled by AS2016. To me it happens almost instantly. Has anyone seen this problem of the Map being blank?

I was flying with stock realistic settings. AS4+ASCA with realistic weather in PMDG NGX on latest hotfix of P3Dv4. I was on a profile VNAV decent close to some convective cells but dodging them on radar. While in turbulence my airspeed went from 260kts IAS to 350 and climbing to Vne. I pulled throttle to idle, max spoiler extension, pitched for 15 deg nose up and extended the gear. Even after holding this configuration for more than 1min and being in clear air with the convective cell to my back, my airspeed would not bleed down. Was this turbulence modeling? If outflow is modeled I should have had a tailwind and rapidly decaying airspeed. Any thoughts?

I read that AS16 users will have a free upgrade to the v4 version. I downloaded AS fro v4 and it asked for my serial but didn't recognize it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

So AS16 had been a guaranteed buy for me, was just using the trial, waiting for PCAviator to list it since I had a coupon to use. I figured, since I was there, I might as well buy ASCA. Saying I was underwhelmed by the screenshots would have been an understatement. However, after putting everything on automatic and going for a flight in the rainy bad weather I see out the window right now... I'm speechless. It's amazing. I have had a ticket with Hifi support for weeks trying to resolve a problem with AS 16 , on flights longer than about 1/2 hour, CPU cycles in task manager starts increasing from around 2-4 % to as high as 18%, bouncing back and forth between the lower settings and the highest. Shutting down AS 16 and restarting it immediately resets this problem, everything returns to normal, and in about another 30 minutes the problem starts all over again. Naturally when the cpu% goes up, the performance of P3D starts degrading affecting FPS and inducing stutters. . So far I have replaced FSUIPC with the latest version, and done a complete uninstall of AS 16 with a brand new download. …

Good morning, Yesterday I was doing a flight accross the Austrian Alps from Italy (Florence) to northern Germany (Bremen) in a C182 and along the way I noticed that clouds that should be there would keep disappearing. There were several CB fronts on 3 parts of the route, but they would only appear for a bit, then simply go. I was flying with a friend who is still on P3Dv3 and he saw the same systems that I did, but for him they didn't disappear. From the debugging menu I used the reload weather option and that would bring back the CB's only for them to disappear again a few minutes later. Hello everybody, After moving to P3D V4 and installing the Active Sky for P3d V4 Beta, i noticed a problem with the sky textures. No matter what weather i set, the sky always looks grey from the ground. But flying at higher altitudes makes the sky blue again. I tried to turn off volumetric fog but it doesn't help. When turning it on again though, the sky looks normal for some seconds but then turns back. I had the same issues with P3d V3, but never really did anything about it. Hi, I'm trying to help a young boy fix a ASN Connect error. Have you any advice? I used to use ASN now AS 16, but never saw this error myself. I wouldn't normally do this, but he is about 10 and is struggling.

I'm using ASE and on a regular basis the program will not launch. I don't even get as far as a splash screen. If I restart the app will open, but after a while the problem reoccurs. Other than a reboot I have tried some other things which did not work: launching from the app, running in compatibility mode for win 7,8, running app as administrator, turning off anti virus. My fsuicp and app updates are current. If I have to reinstall, I'm thinking maybe I should place it in the C drive instead of the x86 directory. I am running windows 10. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi guys, I noticed some strange behaviour using the settings. AS2016 and P3D settings seem to mess each other up. When turning off volumetric fog in P3D it sometimes appears using AS2016, but often does not. When turning on AS2016 and turning cloud draw distance to 250NM it does not work. Stays standard 110nmi. Then volumetric fog. It seems to do the opposite. When turned on in P3D using AS2016 it disappears. Adjusting visibilities is also not working. I am at odds end. Does anyone know what the culprit is? I started AS2016 and ASCA with admin rights. To no avail. Overkill haze:

I used to have OpusFSI and FEX for cloud textures and never had performance issues, now I switched to AS16 and ASCA and I noticed something completely unlogical, with Cirus at 256 DXT and cumulus 512 DXT I get bad stutters in dense airports when I turn while taxiing ( never had this before and frames when driving strait and flying are 30 ( limited in game to 30) ), then I red somewhere that 32bit takes less CPU then DXT for cloud textures so I switched to 1024 32bit for Cirus and cumulus and wonder by wonder, the stutters are as good as gone. Hello, yesterday i got Active Sky 2016 and flew around for a bit. I saw something strange as i fly into clouds. Some of the cloud textures start to make its way into the cockpit (as seen in photo).
