Must I have the ASCA application running if I'm using the Global Automatic feature, or can it be closed and can I just have AS16 running? Thanks.

Hey, my friend give me him serial key to the ASP4 beacuse he dont fly any more in simulato and 2 months the active sky work wonderful and befor 1 day the active sky give me the Online Activation Problem and dont give me to use. Hello all. I have been flying with ASN for half a year and now I wouldn't fly without it. But recently I have been running into two significant problems that really spoil the experience. The first problem occurs mostly at runway thresholds on runways located before a cliff (LPMA, GCLA, etc.). I have been experiencing extreme downdrafts below 50ft radar alt at said runway thresholds which slams my PMDG 747 (also happens to other aircraft) onto the runway at a rate of more than -1000ft/min which results in a crash and a ruined otherwise perfect FsPassengers flight. OS is Win 10 with P3Dv4.1 installed. I also had P3Dv3.35 installed on same drive. I have ASP4 for P3D4 with the 6517 update installed. I have ASCA installed along with REX SF all on the same drive. I was using P3Dv4, ASN16 weather engine with REXSF clouds, not running (I thought) ASCA at the same time. When I deleted P3Dv3.35 from the harddrive I now come up with an error msg/Pop up box when running P3Dv4 with ASN16 weather engine and REX SF clouds only (no weather engine enabled) that says "ASCA error.....ASCA graphics installation taking more than 5 minutes to compile....skipping graphics activation. I hate to ask a noob question, but I decided to try the tutorials for the PMDG 737-800 for Prepar3d. I bought TOPCAT for the 2nd tutorial and I'm using Active sky for Prepar3d and for the life of me I can't seem to find wx_snapshot.txt. I'm using Windows 10 if that helps. I've tried everywhere I can think of. Can someone help me in the right direction.

Hello everyone, Add-ons: Rex Sky Force 3D / ASP4 / ASCA / PTA / ENVTEX / ORBX Global & OpenLC Europe I got the sim 3 days ago. From the start on I noticed that at night the clouds do look very very gray and yesterday even black. If you look closer the clouds look kinda weird as well in my opinion (the pixels). I recently had to verify the integrity of my game files for FSX:SE. However, when I reinstalled Ultimate Traffic 2, not only did I have my UT2 traffic, but the default FSX AI was in the game. How do I go about fixing this issue so that I only have the UT2 traffic?

So I am having a bit of a problem with ASN. When I first start up steam, it gives me the “xml issue” message telling me to delete/change my dll.xml file. When I fly the simulator and it loads up, I either get no message with no working ASN or I get the “ambient control issue” message. I tried verifying the files for FSX and also reinstalling ASN. Any help is appreciated.

I just wanted to make sure that I have the latest version and build for Active Sky Next. I am using the latest version of FSX. My ASN version is 1.0.6255.21938. The build is 6255. Pilots, how to disable these ASCA green pop-ups in P3D. It shows cyclically that ASCA is loading/updating etc.

hey guys, can´t get the atis to work. the value in the asn option is true for the atis but it doesnt work in the plane. actually im in PMDG´s 777-300ER on a flight to OMDB and it would be really handy if we get it to work. and of course im using the right frequencies, none of the three works. and yes, the flight plan is set up in ASN

hi just installed as4+asca left all the settings at default live weather and asca set at global running textures at 1024 looking for advice on what settings to change if any like cloud settings also do I need to change p3dv4 weather settings, at default as4 runs smooth system i7700k @4.6 16g ram and 1080gpu. thanks Jim

I upgraded to P3Dv4.2, then downloaded newest AS Next upgrade. When program starts, get error about simmconnect. Sound like an upgrade is needed for this as well. Thank you.

Hello everybody, I’m using quite often the AS16 Atis for departure and arrival airports. As I fly into EU all the metars have visibility in Meters , however the ATIS always reports the visibility in miles (I think). For instance yesterday metar reported visibility 2000 meters and the ATIS said visibility 1. Is it possible the make the Atis read the visibility in meters?

What is the proper starting sequence for getting the textures from Rex Skyforce 3d into FSX-SE and using Active Sky for the weather engine?

Is anyone else seeing this kind of thing? Flying into clear air and then suddenly its like a fog appears and you are in cloud/fog. Doesn't happen all the time for me. FSX-SE is the sim and using AS16 with ASCA

When there is bad weather in my home airport I like to set up a flight into that airport from another airport close by. So I choose the historical date and time and make sure the conditions match with what I saw that day. Usually will be low visibility and rain or snow. Then I go and do my flight, as I do my approach to my home airport to land, there will be some weather around but not the low visibility and rain or snow. As soon as I land and taxi in then all of sudden the weather will load. On the conditions page it will show the weather that I am expecting too. I am flying pmdg 737 with orbx scenery so I am not sure if this is a performance issue with my computer or so…

I'm using AS_PD3.4 in P3D4.1 and when ever I get above 16000ft my visibility deteriorates. This happens no matter what the weather is. Clear and sunny, no matter what. I've tried all\ different settings in the options setting for visibility, but nothing helps. Its like flying a fog. This doesn't seem realistic to me and is there any way fix this. By the way this only started after the update to P3D4.1. Thanks Arnold

Ive been pulling hair out for most of the week trying to get this to work and its about to drive me mad. I cant find any recent how to guides and HiFi doesnt seem to be interested in network support. The guides on HiFis help section were written when folks had windows 7 and FSX, talk of FSX files and service packs just add to the confusion. So, Ive got two Windows 10 machines, both freshly formatted and updated. Connected via ethernet cables to a Linksys WRT1900AC. Fresh install of P3d V4.1 with no add ons.
