Hello Captains, Do any of my fellow Active Sky users also use ZA free or Pro, if so how is it configured for AS? Recently, after an update, it began interfering with ASP3Dv4.5; specifically it never rains in southern California.....nor anywhere else for that matter! AS is properly installed with admin rights and full permissions in ZA. AS communicates with HiFi's servers and downloads weather updates as normal but ZA is somehow obstructing this data from getting through to P3D. I noticed this abnormality recently when we had a heavy downpour one day, yet none at my local airports within the sim. Not a spot of rain, until I shut down ZA, then...viola...rain, glorious …

Hi all, This is my first post, so I'll try my best. I picked up Active Sky XP a couple of days ago and, weirdly, but not immediately, I started to get weird clouds a day later. When I point my camera up, the weird lines/rays seem to render, then when I switch back to my normal views I can only see the clouds clearly rendered in at my current level or below. I haven't touched the settings in any way whatsoever and I also deleted all my cloud textures, verified them, and reinstalled the AS ones again - the same issue occurred. Would appreciate some help on this matter. Thanks.

Hello, I bought ASP4 today for better experience in game. But something weird happened. There is no problem when starting P3D but some addons wont start. if I don't choose any airport and start on default KVPS fslabs a320 and everything else load as expected without any problems, but when I load any (buyed) scenery like Aerosoft Frankfurt basically nothing work. Any button in cockpit dont work, scenery missing some gates, EZCA and GSX doesnt work too. I really dont want to reinstall P3D. Thanks

I note that with Active Sky in P3Dv4.5 I just load in a manually configured Metar and it appears in the sim(have SkyForce and EnvForce installed also) Sequence AS-SkyForce-EnvForce-P3Dv4.5 With XP if I load manually configured Metar it does not always appear in the sim but I can configure what I want from XP Weather screen within the sim(also have UWXP 2.5 installed) Sequence ASXP -XPLANE I had hoped the ASXP would work like it does in AS (P3D) ie one configuration only not two as at present ASXP is connected to XPLANE and active Am I doing something wrong? xxd09

hi guys when i have been using ASN the live weather had been updating while fsx has been minimized now when i upgraded to AS16 + ASCA they work really great and it keeps updating when my fsx is maximized or full screened but when i minimize to so i can either watch movies or some youtube stuff to kill some time, i go back to the fsx all i see is clear skies and when i check my as16 it says it should my overcast so what i do is i click on the wx control and i quickly click the custom button and then back to live weather updating. then i see all the clouds coming back. this is getting frustrating can someone help me out here?

Hi, today i started my ASP4 to do some flights and first i noticed that according to the app i was on a very foggy airport, but no fog appeared on the sim. I close ASP4 but when i started the app again this message appeared, User weather parsing error. "An attempt to load a user weather file created on another machine failed. Please ask the user that created the file, to regenerate it and the try again. Swtiching to live mode." What do i do???

Giving up trying to get active sky to run over the network. Other programs run fine, just not AS. I know I am not alone. Is there any other weather engines out there that can do the job? Thanks.

Hello, Just recently purchased AS XP, and I've completed the user manual section titled 'Using ASXP for the first time'. All went well and seems fine. However, my question is now for a normal startup sequence when starting new flights from this point forward. Do I simply start ASXP, and minimize it? Do I need to start ASXP? Once I start XPlane, do I need to go into Flight configuration section, and do the 'load Metar file' actions again? Or can I just go into the normal select aircraft, origin/departure airport, and ASXP automatically injects the weather? Recently ran into an issue with the new 7070 build not depicting accurate temp readings. The first alarm was Saturday morning I spawned at KTNP airport in the morning and it said the weather was 30 degrees C. That was an odd temp in the morning time. But I looked up the weather on my phone and the actual temp was 15 degrees C that morning in Twentynine Palms. The temp stayed at a constant 30C the whole day and never budged. I flew to KJAC and the temp was also off at that airport. It was 19C and it was suppose to be around 10C. At every airport I looked up the temps were completely off. I’ve never had this happen before I upgraded my ASP4 version. Can anyone confirm these…

does anyone here run VOX atc and AS16? both use simconnect do they both use port 500? is this possible to change? my As16 intsall is fine over network using simconnect...

Hi All, Just purchased ActiveSky for Prepar3Dv4 from SimMarket. Running Prepar3D version 4.5.11.29713. Get an error from ASConnect stating that I have an incompatible P3D Version. As-is, ActiveSky does not work. Have a ticket in - waiting for a response from hifisimtech.com. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue and most importantly does anyone have a solution? Thanks. BTW, this is super frustrating...

Regardless of the aircraft or altitude, after apprx 200nm the clouds stop and the "ActiveSky Weather Theme" goes to a default clear skies. Tried to re-select ActiveSky Theme and to run debug on AS16 as to reload the weather with no luck. Every time AS16 tries to install the weather the Theme on FSX revert to Clear Skies.

Hello guys! I just noticed that Activesky shows completely different METAR that what is shown on flightradar24 or PFPX. Setting are set to show real live weather. Ie AS reports LEMG 230756Z 29006KT 9999 SCT025 16/09 Q1030 FR24 reports LEMG 230730Z 28006KT CAVOK 06/03 Q1029 NOSIG. Any idea? Thnx

So I updated Pv4 and went to update active sky and active sky cloud art...same old thing,,,they say to update,,,so click update, nothing happens,,,open again,,,they say to click update and on and on.

I have ASCA and AS and can get ASCA to link with FSX and P3Dv4 but cannot find a way to link AS with FSX?

Guys I just bought ASN for FSX Steam Edition and I ran into some errors. Thankfully I figured out how to fix them after some in-depth forum searching. However, I'd just like to share what solved the problem for me, because it isn't very clearly posted around. I kept getting the "Cannot control ambient weather" error which lead to a ASN crash. I tried to exclude ASN and some of the .dlls from Microsoft Security Essentials, but kept getting the error. Hi guys Didn't know where to post this, so hoping here is ok.... I recently purchased Active Sky for X-Plane 11. However, I cannot either activate it, nor register for help on their forums, nor create a ticket with HiFi Simulations!!! Every time I try, I never receive their allegedly sent confirmation email:-( Obviously, I keep checking my spam folders too, but not getting anything from them:-( Does anyone perhaps have an email address for support? Hi Everyone, I am having a problem with AS16. The overcast is very repetitive and I may have found a problem in the logs. I know there is a repeating cloud fix and that is turned on, but the stratus clouds still look very repetitive. Apparently, there is a file missing called "_stratus88-3s6.cld.fixed'" The actual message in ther error is "-Error applying Overcast Pattern Fix: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\AS16_FSX\_stratus88-3s6.cld.fixed'." in the active sky log. I looked in this directory and could not find this file. IS it supposed to be there? I am also using REXSF3D. Thanks! Cub M
