Hi everyone, I recently upgraded to V5 and had 4.5 with ASP4D working like a dream, so I thought I'd try the new beta. So far it absolutely refuses to work correctly. The control panel says showers and overcast but the display in game is a clear blue sky with light clouds and no wind. Completely contrary to what the panel says or even the ingame weather report. Some things to note: I have GSX and SODE working as normal and FSUIPC 6 so that suggests to me it isn't a SimConnect problem (i also installed and re-installed them several times, ERP, Xpack1 and 2) Minimal addons that could conflict IE I have ORBX and majestic dash 8 and some addon…

Hello, I just did a historic flight on the 30.11.19, 01:14 UTC (bad snow storms all over the US) and the whole flight from KABQ to KHLN I could not see any stars at FL380. Now, after landing at KHLN i did some tests by slewing up and figured, that the stars suddenly showed up above 82000ft. Is that realistic? And what weather option in AS16 is causing this? I tried to change the upper visibility options, no change.... Oh, of course if i shut down AS16, stars are back straight away. I am running FSX, REX4 with soft clouds, DX10 fixer, FSUIPC, changed stars.dat with Autostar once and AS16 Would be nice to know if anybody can duplicate the prob…

Hi, I have a small problem with AS for p3dv4 Under the conditions tab, I type in for exemple KSGU to get info and runways in use etc. It says runways in use is 16. St George does not have this runways according to sky vector, only runway 1 and 19. Also noticed this at other airport. I have a navigraph sub and active sky is updated to airac 2004. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello! I use and love ASN now for a long time, but I never realized that the tropopause I get from weather charts (I use simbrief.com, it has a great visualization on the maps) maybe is not simulated at all. If so, it would not be an big deal for me but just out of curiosity... Is ASN simulating the tropopause in a way so that I can "see" oh, now I am in the tropopause? :-) Thank you!

Hi, I hope someone can help with this AS16 'Radar Data Network Error' that keeps popping up. Driving me round the twist, had it for ages. Reinstalled etc, etc. Some days its ok but mostly not. I started a new topic as the previous was closed. All they kept saying is submit a log to support. So many previous reports on this very topic. How many logs do they need. To be unsolved for this length of time is totally unacceptable, shouldn't happen in the first place especially at this price. Thanks Valkyrie

I'm a new user of ASP4 and am rather confused. I also purchased Sky Force 3D as I was recommended to buy both. I use the weather engine from ASP4 (using live weather) and use Sky Force for the textures and themes. What I don't understand is if my Prep3rd Sim is using real weather generated by the ASP4 engine, where do the Themes from Sky Force 3D come into it? If a certain place is cloudy with particular types of cloud, why do I need to choose what type of cloud set I want to install from SF3D? Surely the real life weather clouds override the clouds I choose in Sky Force?Thank you

I find this quite, quite aggravating to say the least. Every time I land at night at VABB, even with a ground temperature of 24C, the approach to the Runways, e.g.09, is always shrouded in dense fog that the Runway is barely visible. Sim:P3Dc4.4+Active Sky for P3Dv4+PMDG 737-800+AivlaSoft. EFB2 Is there a default setting despite choosing Historical Whatever that causes this vexing issue and totally screws up flights?

Hi I usually use AS16 with ASCA using only dynamic theme. I have a problem with clouds, when there is an overcast condition, many repeated grey clouds appear behind my plane, in front of the plane everything is fine. Why does this happen? Any solution? I don't use pta, shaders...... Thanks Regards

I have recently installed ASP4 with P3Dv4.4 on the brand new W10 machine and ran into problem that I have never faced before since old AS2005. The ASP4 stops to depict clouds' coverage once I leave the 100nm radius area from departure airport. In continue to accurately depicts winds, visibility, fog layers, barometric pressure, but not clouds. I have reinstalled the software two times already, but it did not help. Restarting ASP4 in-flight does not help either. I use REX for the clouds only and REX's weather engine is disabled, hence there should be no conflict. In ASP4 I have "Suppress Local Weather" unchecked and "Prevent Downloads in approach" unchecked too. No idea…

Hi, when I launch the Active Sky 4 program I get this error: "A critical error has occurred in this application. Further program is not possible". Do you have any idea what kind of mistake could it be? Has anyone encountered the same error? Yesterday the program worked correctly, but today this error. Use Prepr3D 4.5 Thanks.

Hello all. I am experiencing squared off cloud formations specifically “overcast” whenever I am at cruise. The clouds will populate in square patches which look highly unrealistic. I will note that I am using ASP4+SF+EF. I suspect it is ASP4 because that is my weather engine. Has anyone else experienced this?

I only get the weather loaded at departure, seems once arriving at half way to destination 700 miles away, the weather is always clear, even when it is reported as Overcast in AS for P3Dv4. Essentially no weather depicted at destination, If i pause and save and reload, VOILA, the weather in splendid glory updated to B7070 and Prepar4D=4.5.12.30293 sorta dilutes the fun

What's the general consensus on this setting... I notice that, when this setting is enabled, thunderstorms appear more realistic, in that when flying through one you don't get the spotty clouds with sun shining through. Is it worth the FPS hit? Thanks!

Hello, I originally posted this in the FSX Forum, but it didn't get any views, and since it partially involves ASN I thought I'd try it here as well. I'm wondering if anyone has found a combination of settings that will generate a realistic thunderstorm in FSX? I'm currently using Rex4 + Soft Clouds with ASN for weather... previously used REX Essentials for textures. Now, I'm greatly impressed with all these add-ons. Every one is well worth the money spent, I don't want to sound like I'm knocking them. This is just as likely to be user error or an FSX limitation than a software issue, and even if it is, they're still superb overall at what they do. That b…
