Hi guys! Strange problem here ... when I run my P3D 4.5 with Active Sky (and ASAC) I have completely wrong elevations at airports. For example, in LOWW which should be over 600ft I will have 120ft ... when I start P3D without Active Sky everything is fine. Live weather is activated. Any ideas what the problem could be? I couldn't find the Prepared main folder while trying to install REX Active Sky. I got the serial number and everything else right, but couldn't locate the default folder. I have Prepared v4. I installed Prepared v4 in the D:\Drive. The pop up in question has options for Prepared v1,2,3,but not 4. It also has as options FSX SE and FSX.

Hi, I have this problem on some airports. Had it on EKCH earlier and now today i have it on EDDL. I load my TBM900 aircraft and connect to vatsim. Local QNH is 1017. I set the altimeter to 1017 and it shows approx 150ft which is correct. I start Active Sky XP and now suddenly is shows -80ft. To match the real airport elevation which is 147ft i have to set the altimeter to QNH 1027. I close Active Sky XP and the altimeter now shows the correct altitude 147ft. I tried selecting to use VATSIM weather and without VATSIM weather but it didn't make any difference. Anyone have any ideas?

Try running Active Sky no connection happen after I up dated to windows 11 anyone having problems?? Also running FSMap for years all at once black screen no scenery??? Thanks for any help.....Scott

Hi guys! I tried to uninstall ASCA to update it according to HIFI procedures but the uninstaller was totally inefficient. I tried with Windows"Add remove programs" and because it took way too long(I stopped the uninstaller after 30mn)I tried also directly with the uninstaller file in the HIFI ASCA folder but to no avail! Does anybody has the same problem and found a solution before I open a ticket? Cheers Pat

I am running Active Sky for P3Dv4, and occasionally I like to fly without a specific flight plan. Active Sky keeps reminding me to load one. I dont want to, and it is annoying. How can I stop it from reminding me? Cheers

Prepar3D v5.2 Hotfix 1 (5.2.22.27615) ASP3D 7857 (latest) installed. ASCA 7668 (latest) installed. EA clouds disabled. Whatever I try in settings of ASP3D and ASCA the sim crashes in the first minute or so. I tried running it without ASCA (just ASP3D 7857) and it still crashes. I tried running it with ASP3D 7851 (and later 7840) they all produce a P3D crash. Has someone managed to get a combination of ASP3D and ASCA and their settings to get Prepar3D v5.2 Hotfix 1 (5.2.22.27615) running properly without a crash ?

Greetings! This morning I installed the latest beta of AS for my P3D v5. However, I no longer have the alias to run AS for v5 directly, and installing the beta does not show the v4 and v5 aliases on my desktop like the first time I installed AS P3D. So now when I run AS P3D I get that dialogue asking me if I want v4 or v5. I'd like to skip that dialogue and just run it for v5. How may I do that, please?

Hello guys, I checked my current wind data in the sim and compare it to real world data. In real word I got following data on FL380: 346/43 In sim I got: 033/54 in the same position and same FL My setting are in Live mode etc. Why does AS get so diffrerent values?

Anyone know the story on AS16 for P3D v3? There is a download for it on the hifitech web page but if you try to purchase a license, only the FSX version seems to be available. It appears to have been removed from the active market. I do have an Active sky product for P3D v4 and v5 and attempted to use that license, but to no avail. I can't open a ticket to ask about AS16 because I don't have a proper license...catch 22.

I was doing a flight into Keflavik in Iceland yesterday and i looked up the weather for approach and it said the Active Runway was 28 but Keflavik doesn't have a runway 289 instead it has Runway 28, how can i update the runway database in Active Sky P3D V4? I am using build 7410 in Active Sky with the latest Navigraph data (current cycle 206)

Hi, When operating ActiveSky in Manual mode, if I set anything other than "Unlimited" in <Visibility> I get a very hazy, limited visibility. For example, if I set 50 miles the actual visibility rendered is a very hazy +/- 10 miles. I wouldlike the usual control over visibility to be restored. I am using P3Dv5.1.

I'm trying to activate Active Sky, it's telling me to put it in the Prepared Folder. My Prepared v4 is on the D Drive. Can you please give a step by step? Thank you

AS has recently been causing me a few issues. The program start fine and injects weather to the P3d v4.5 sim. The problem start when taking off etc. As fails to follow the aircraft and freezes. I have just taken off from EGKK and I am over EDDF , but As is still showing EGKK location. Any idease please Thanks Darren

I have had Active Sky 2016 for FSX installed since it was released however, as I was going through my files for clean-up purposes I took note of the following Active Sky files installed that are currently installed. 1) Active Sky Next for FSX SP5 - Icon still exist 2) ASConnect for FSX Installer 3) Active Sky 2016 for FSX Update 4) ASConnect 2016 for FSX Installer. So my question is could I uninstall files # 1&2? Since I am assuming that they are for the previous versions of Active Sky? I am not sure if AS2016 is a totally separate (independent) product or just an upgrade that relies on the original ASN SP5 base file…

Hello all, I think Im experiencing an odd behavior by ASP4, P3D V4.5 HT3, I also have REXSF but I dont think it's related The pop up weather systems!! It happens in my case on two levels -always using real weather mode- 1- I am flying with clouds around and suddenly in a range of 5-20nm or more a large cloud forming in front of my eyes in less than a second or so? 2- At cruise altitude the weather radar is on and not showing any significant weather systems for 40 or 60nm ahead I look away or check regularly every few minutes to see with a surprise a huge system right in the middle of the screen it must've popped up because if it didnt I should of s…

You know, I don't think I've ever seen the wing fade effect in P3d. I'm running V4.4. Anyone seeing their wings fade in V4 when you're inside thick clouds?

Hello all I am getting a straight line in the sea when running AS - see attached screenshot. Doesn't matter which location i am in - the line is always there. I think i read somewhere it was to do with the Cloud draw distance ? - my settings for these are as follows: In Prepar3d Cloud draw distance = 110 miles Cloud coverage density = maximum In AS Minimum cloud draw distance = 61 Maximum cloud draw distance = 110 miles. If i shut down AS then the line disappears so 99% sure something within AS is causing this - any ideas please ? Thanks

I use Active Sky P3D with Prepar3d v4.5. When I start Active Sky, I hear the “thunder” sound on startup. But when I’m flying in rain, lightning, and thunderstorms, I never hear any storm related sounds. Does Active Sky P3d generate storm sounds? I have asked others and they say yes but their setups may have other programs generating these sounds. If I should be hearing these sounds, what settings should I be looking at?

Hi all Hopefully you can help with query. I have P3Dv5 and I was thinking of buying ASP4 and then installing the beta version of Activesky P3D to use in P3Dv5. I don't have P3Dv4 so I was just checking that I wouldn't need to install ASP4 before installing the beta version of Activesky P3D. I just want to check that would work in P3Dv5 before buying. I was also thinking of getting Activesky Cloud Art at the same time as they both now seem to be on sale which I'm hoping will work in P3Dv5 too. I hope all that makes sense and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Mike
