[I posted this in the HiFi support forum yesterday, but thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas over here.] I fly a lot in the US Southwest in areas that are typically very dry and often feature virtually unlimited visibility IRL but I seem to get a lot of low level haze even on days which should be "severe clear". Back in my FSX days with ASN/AS16 I don't recall having this issue. Some areas seem worse than others - for example I realized last night that I don't recall ever flying into KIDA (Idaho Falls) in anything other than murky conditions. Hello, unfortunately I was not able to find a decent explanation how to generate a windshear during landing phase, which would also trigger the windshear warning in addon airplanes from PMDG or FSLABS. Can anyone help me here please? Thank you very much! Best regards Andreas

Hi all, so I’m running ASN and FSX SE on windows 7 and at first it worked perfectly but recently I’ll be 20 mins into the flight and it suddenly loses connection, then closes to the desktop to tell me about it and then I can’t get back in to fsx. Also when this happens there is a little exclamation point over my WiFi signal so I troubleshoot it and it fixes it no problem and then says the WiFi does not have valid IP configuration...any help would be greatly appreciated, I’m thinking it could be something with the firewall which is through Norton if anyone has any ideas please let me know

I'm experiencing some weird things with ASN Steam Edition ever since I got it, and I'd really need some help with this, but I can't even register on HiFi forums since I can't find my license key anywhere on steam... If anyone knows how do I find it, and where, that would be better because I could then contact official support. Now onto the problem... Hi I have a slight problem in understanding this program (Active Sky). I essentially want to specify a time and date and get it to use the historical weeather data specified. The initially question is whether I simply specify use the time and date that I want in P3D and hope that that particular time/date is used by Active Sky. If not, do I ignore the time/date specified in P3D, and use Wx Control to, and if so, I have to admit that I don't understand the checkbox labelled "Force historical time to sim time"...? At the end of the day, I want to specify the time/date and P3D to use the weather then... What is the easiest way to set the aircraft time/date…

Is anyone else getting an ASConnect error in the latest beta build? The error says 'Radar communications connect between the AS Client and ASConnect server is invalid'. Nothing in my sim setup/network has changed. Simconnect xmls are unchanged. IPs and router settings unchanged Appreciate any help. Thanks

I've had this happen several times I'm climbing through soup, solid white out then when I get through that layer and on top I can look down and see no layer of soup and clear to the ground. What happened to my layer of soup, shouldn't I be able to see that?

Now that we have PMDG and a number of other developers adding rain drops to our virtual windshields, I would like to know whether there is an option in AS that enables constant rain in a rain forecasted area? The reason being, when it rains in P3D, it starts and stops therefore leaving the rain/snow effect on the windows rather unrealistic with the constant popping in and out of rain texture.

Hi guys, Hoping somebody can help. Using the latest version (6906) in P3D V4.4 I constatly have to reactivate my FORCE ATC WINDLOCK option. This has actually been happening to me for sometime on a previous computer and 4.3 but I ignored it thinking it must be something unique to me in my settings. I've noticed a "bug" -if you will- that has existed in every version of FSX and P3D during wind gust conditions. (and have observed this on the wind displayed using SHIFT+Z). The wind speed doesn't experience a smooth "ramp up" to the top gust speed- it "ticks" suddenly to the high wind speed, then back down to the normal speed. It does this in regular fashion, not replicating a natural randomness of gusty winds/frequency of gusts. Is there anything I can do in my p3D.cfg- or in the activesky user interface, to smooth these changes? Just bought a copy of this from SimMarket When starting it asks me to register for online account, when doing so i am informed that the licenceopened a ticket has already been assigned to an existing user. I opened a ticket at simamrket and they refereed me to HIfI, i have opened a ticket there too but havent had a response yet. I was wondering if there was a simple solution i may have missed? I'm have a problem with wind changes during landing in P3D 4.1 with AS4. Yesterday I had a flight with a Cherokee to Antwerp (EBAW). The metar for this airport in AS4 showed that the wind was 238/8 knots. During the approach for runway 29 the wind was correct, but when I was ready for touchdown the the wind changed suddenly to 30/33 knots for the last 10-20 feets. So the airplane was pushed in the sky again because of the strong winds and it turned diagonal towards the runway. Been working on this a week...I think its something to do with simconnect. I am running on a network. I can't even get STBto connect. I have done this a thousand times but something very simple is screwing me up. So I am getting this very annoying bug in my game where my speed will jump up and down and the nose of my aircraft will jerk up and down while flying. At first I thought it was the wind bug but I own a registered copy of FSUIPC and have the wind smoothing option ticked. Looking at my instruments it doesn't display the wind quickly changing speed or direction so it isn't the wind bug. I went into my FSX weather settings and the Disable turbulence and thermals near aircraft was unticked so I checked it to see if it would help but no luck there. Hi all! I've just started having this problem with Active Sky for P3d V4 - when I try to open it, I see the splash screen but the UI never shows up. I can see it in task manager for a few seconds, then it disappears. Can't get it to start. Any ideas please? I've tried reinstalling AS and running it as an administrator without luck. Thanks!
