I have the latest build of AS for P3Dv4 but I'm still running 4.0 rather than 4.1. When I fire up AS and then attempt to start P3D and load a flight I get a CTD. Once that happens, P3D will crash on startup whether AS is running or not. I have to use the P3D utility to clean things up and start over. I'll go to HiFi support if needed, but first a simple question: Is the latest build only intended to work with v4.1? If so, that's likely my problem and I'll have to bite the bullet and update to 4.1. If not, I'll get with HiFi to figure things out. Scott

Hi, I would like to ask who uses Active Sky 2016 or Active Sky Next on a client PC the right configuration to make it work. Or step by step the instructions as indicated by the manual are only blocked when running the program on the client PC. Having shared the folders as indicated in the Startup Guide the program from the client PC to the executable of the server tells me that it obviously does not see any FSX installed in the PC (client) and gives me the opportunity to indicate the folder manually where it should be installed. Do I have to indicate the sim folder on the server? Now I do not remember the exact folder but it should be what I find in the program set…

When i load Active Sky 2 things happen. Even at 10SM visibility the sky is grey and the flare is somewhat messed up. If i unload active sky and select clear skies everything is normal. the photos show this as well the following video. I am enabling Lens flare and then i am loading Active Sky with ASCA. Observe. Does this need to be re downloaded for P3DV4.1 if it worked in V4? trying to avoid a large download if possible.

Hi Folks, Like many - I have more than one package for graphics and sky textures - while I realize ENVTEX plays nicely with ASCA - REX Textures Direct probably doesn't - - - so once I'm done playing with other textures and I want to reset ASCA to it's original "clean install" condition - what's the best way to do that ? Hi--using AS16 (without ASCA) in P3dv4.0 with Envtex. Recently, from the VC in daytime I've seen what's either clouds or patches of sky which are very dark blue-almost black. The patches are out of place and surrounded by the correct color textures. It comes and it goes at every altitude, and lasts about a minute. When I go from the VC view to locked spot, sometimes it's there and sometimes not. if you need my specs, let me know if that helps answering this. Thanks much for any help, Jay.

Hi guys, trying to get my VR dialed in with the new and improved 4.1. Having trouble figuring out how to get the heavy fog effect over the nose and cockpit of my plane. It seems to be related to active sky because if I fly without Active Sky it goes away. But with Active Sky running, no matter how clear the skies are, I get the flying through the cloud/fog effect. Maybe i I just haven't found the correct setting in Active Sky to disable. I tried disabling the wing vapor effect and the fog setting but no joy. Many help would be greatly appreciated. This seems specific to the Native VR. Didn't notice it with Flyinside or when flying on my monitor. …

Hi today I started a flight from OMDB - EGLL shortly after takeoff I received this message, "Redundant Access this license is currently being used from another IP address. Please try later or contact [email protected] for resolution . I have used AS16 for a while and never had this problem ever since today and I don't know what to do ? Also I will be happy to show proof of purchase thanks for any help.

Hi, there's a bug in the depiction of precipitation in the PMDG 777 WXR radar at the 160nm range display. Precipitation in this particular setting is only displayed correctly when the display on the other side, be it Captain's or First Officer's side, is set to the same or a smaller range. If set to a bigger range, precipitation in the first one will be switched to a 320nm range scale (while everything else is correctly set at a 160nm scale), without touching anything. I am using G Data as antivirus program. The active Sky is installed, paid and licensed. I am connected with the internet, but Active Sky does not connect. What is needed to get connection? What is the best file name or data to allow the exception with G Data? regards Lec

Hello everybody, At the last special offer I bought AS16+ASCA. But when I open AS16, ASCA open autmatically too. Both run than in the background and are not visble, only in the Task manager (not in the Taskbar!) When I secondly started AS16 only the ASCA Interface is shown, the AS16 interface is not visible. When I close ASCA and start AS16 again, nothing happend. AS16 only run in the Background. Can someone help me? Thanks for the answer, edvn25

Hello, I have come to conclusion that my AS16 is not working properly, today I made a flight to EFIV and it should have been a nice cavok condition. However there was a solid cloud layer and when I checked the weather report, the metar date was 21st and the hour of the report nothing near the time I was flying. Which month, I don´t know . How can I make sure if my AS16 is working or not? It is especially hard now when I don´t have access to control panel. Any help would be welcome.

Are there any realistic settings or "musts" that I need to use in order to get the most realistic looking clouds and weather within V4? I am using ASCA, AS for V4, and PTA. I was going to do some tweaks tonight and was looking to see what most tubeliner folks like the best. I use Dynamic mode in ASCA and always file a flight plan in AS when doing a flight. I also load VOR and NDB's as routes. Any other suggestions? I have a higher end machine so I can afford to push the limits in terms of performance. Thanks

Folks, I'm running ASCA and AS16 for P3DV4 in a networked environment. They were working just fine until I upgraded the drive on my P3D computer and hence had to re-share the access to the Prepar3D folder. For some strange reason, I can see the required location when I look in file explorer under "network". I can however access it fine if I type "\\FLIGHT1\FLT1-P3D-Drv" where \\Flight1 is the name of my main flight sim computer and \FLT1-P3D-Drv is the name of the shared folder. I have also mapped a drive from my second computer to this folder and that works fine too - expect mapped drives don't seem to show in the options when you start up AS16 and it requires the a…

I just bought AS16 and ASCA. I am currently using REX Texture Direct 4 with Soft Clouds. Before I start messing with ASCA, do I need to disable or uninstall REX or anything? I'm afraid of the 2 products (ASCA+REX) causing some sort of conflicts and messing up my sim.

I bought ASCA earlier this year from a vendor that is not in business anymore. I am trying to download the full version to update to v4. Is there a place that allows you to fully download? I have my license key, etc. When trying to download and install the update, it gives me an error saying I need the full version. Thanks

Since ENVTEX has this, I would also love to see this with REX4 as well. I prefer the textures much better and hope HiFi/REX will somehow come together to make this happen.

I can't seem to find the exact folder or location where ASCA backs up my default P3D textures to, does anyone know?
