When you land and exit the runway then decide to watch the instant replay of your landing does that show up in Multiplayer as another landing aircraft? or because FS is paused during the replay do you just show up as a plane stopped on the ground. Please advise before I ruin someone elses chance of a good landing.Mark.

I have given AVC a try and here is what I like and don't like.The audio quality is much better.It is much easier to set up.It is to bad you have to log onto SBrelay to use it. I like to have my coms on my 2nd computer. We are not allowed to log on SBrelay twice.It would also be nice if you are using it, to be just able to tune in your freq.in your aircraft, and get whatever controller you need. As it is now you have to go out of your sim and log on to AVC to a different server.Now I may be doing some things wrong but the docs were not really that good at explaning just how to use it in VATSIM. Just a little thread on what would you like to see implimented on Vatsim in the future if you had anything to say about it. Just a bit of dreaming, but be a little bit realistic. None of this "Matrix style neck plug in so you actually plug in to the Vatsim matrix and then walk out the door into your car and drive to the airport before meeting with dispatch bla bla bla." I've been flying online for a while, but recently during busyflying events, FS has frozen and then crashed with the usualerror report applet. The error seems to relate to a module bythe name of G3d.dll or similar (sorry forgot to note down the exactname). The crash seems to take place when I get near the destinationairport where there are other planes in the vicinity and possiblywhen another player enters the session.The question is, could this crash have anything to do with "non-standard" aircraft shapes being used by other pilots?Anyway, would be grateful for any advice on this matter.Regards & thanks in advance.Joaquin

I've had a look through the archive but I can't find an answer to this.Is there anywhere I can get a pretty comprehensive summary of what belongs (and doesn't belong) in the Pilot Remarks section of the flight plan?I know there's /v/ and /t/ (although I'm not really sure what /t/ means) but then I also see a lot of people saying random things like, 'NEWBIE' (fair enough) and even totally 'unreal' stuff like 'Just getting a few hours in before the wife comes home!' :)Any help appreciated!Tom

Fellow Virtual Airmen, I participated last night in "Calscream 9", and I can say that overall it was a very good experience, with excellent ATC all the way.There was one little glitch, however.A hacker came into the RW voice room of Oak_B_CTR and tried to spoil the fun for everyone, by continuously reeling off ATC instructions, thus making the voice channel unusable.I am no expert, and so I cannot claim to know how he got in, but there is one possibility I can think of. I know that under normal conditions the ATC station that I should report to is CTR. I'm new to VATSIM but not to flight siming in general. Finally got around to install SB and had my first two flights today, lots of fun but not as many ATC as I would espect. I'm sure it's the time of day I was logged. Anyway my question is does it matter what server you log on to? Meaning that if you log on to any server you should still have access to every area you fly to correct? In other words VATSIM is one big united community no matter what server you log onto?Zan

Sega at one time had the dominant market share in the gaming business but failed to keep up with technology and is now almost gone. Vatsim should be concerned that it could happen to them. I fly exclusively on Vatsim and certainly hope they don't go this way but with other online flying groups releasing updated Pilot, Controller and Voice clients and Vatsim seemingly unable to get a product out (I have been hearing about SB3 and a voice client for a year!!!) quickly one has to wonder what the future holds. Let's hope I am wrong and SB3 along with the new Voice software is out in short order.Mark.

Hi all.Last night when a couple of us were helping a friend to get up and running with Roger Wilco he made an interesting remark. He very quickly thought that RW uses a noice gate, i.e. that the software cuts off the sound if the input level is too low, even when using PTT. This technique is well known in for instance conference telephones. This, to me, can explain why some voices are stuttering, especially towards the end of sentences where some people lower their voices.This simply means that we need to attempt to keep our voices at a level, err... level when using RW. Not too high (distorts the sound) and not too low (noise gate kicks in). Can

Hello All, I've noticed some irregular occurrences with the voice program Roger Wilco on the last two online flights I made.The first one happened when I was being handed over from TWR to APP; bothe of these ATC positions were equipped with RW voice, and I made the frequency switch by double clicking on the APP frequency in the "ATC Directory" window of Squakbox. I got the normal message that the voice was switching to the new channel, but to my surprise, it did not. I repeated this a few times, to no avail. I have downloaded, squakbox, sbrelay, serverinfo.I can get my user name on to the sbrelay, so that reconsises me and says that I am connected, but I am not. Therefore I try to get squawkbox to run at the same time, which i am suppose to what I can gather, but when I do that, it comes up with an error and I cannot doing anything about it. It happens every single time.I was wondering if there is squawkbox for FS2004, I have downloaded it, and it says it will work, but on the program its says for 2000/2002 could this be the problem?Also I am open to suggestions on how I can make it to work.
