Hello everyoneHere are my specs:Asus K8V Deluxe moboAMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPURadeon 9800 Pro 128 with latest Omega driversSeagate 120 gig h.d. Windows 2000 ProMy problem is this...When flying online, FS sometimes crashes when I press F12 to transmit on voice. I know I must be putting quite a strain on the computer (I usually fly with the Eaglesoft Beechjet and Active Sky), but I think it should handle this. Again, it only happens while on VATSIM and usually when transmitting on vox. Will changing the Roger Wilco CPU setting fix this? Is it a video card or other driver problem? Any ideas?

Hi all, I've been using FS2004 for a while now on Vatsim. When I begin a flight everything works fine. When I am out of range from another aircraft and SBRelay removes it form FS, SBRelay crashes and I lose all the multiplayer aircraft from FS. However in SB TCAS all of the aircraft are still there. Anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a fix for this?using a PIII 1.o Ghz512 mb RAMRadeon 8500 128 mbThanks,

From the examples you give it sounds as if ATC are using older charts than the ones you have.If this happens at one particular airport or FIR I suggest you contact the relevant person and ask which charts you should be using.When you get your clearance and you don't have the charts for the SIDs/STARs given ask for clarification. If only one revision out you may find that nothing significant has changed, maybe just an updated note or a slight change in radials to take account of a change magnetic variation.HTH

I am new to VATSIM and to Aviation Sims. I am currently with NWVA et al and am starting training with VUSN. I would eventually like to try flying online. I have read the PRC manuals thru VATSIMS new PRC and I am in the process of downloading software programs. I downloaded FSUIPC 3.11 and used password word supplied in PRC manual and it does not seem to be working. Am I doing something wrong? am I missing something? Please help. Thanks.

Hey guys i am having problems connecting FS to VATSIM..i follow the instructions with SBRELAY to the letter ....but sometimes when i connect FS to the SBRELAY session i the connect SB to the session and when i try to go back into FS it is locked and wont maximise..meaning i cant get into FS without closing it via task manager. Hey All,Please do not bash me. I am still an FS Newbie, especially when it comes to VOR navigation, SIDS and STARS and flying on VATSIM. I want to get connected to VATSIM and fly online after almost a year. Would anyone please give me some constructive guidance on how to do this as I have all but completely forgotten. When I started AVC today, I got a message warning me that the program expires in 2 days time. There is nothing on the AVC website to indicate whether it is to be released fully, or the open beta extended. I know it is to be incorporated into SB3 in due course, but does that mean we all have to go back to Roger Wilco in the meantime?:-hmmm Does anyone know anything?Bruce.

Hi , I have installed the fs2004 and when I connect to the vatsim and I refresh the servinfo , I notice that my plane is miles from the original airport that I did not leave yet.Can anyone help me to fix this?

Hi,Just curious, when I load my FMS Flightplan in Squawkbox, the popup window comes up asking me to confirm my callsign, flight path, people on board blah blah.At the top under the drop down menu I'm supposed to select my aircraft. What is this for? The only reason I'm asking is becuase the plane I usually fly isn't listed anywhere on there (Cessna Citation X). They have other Citation's but not the 'x'. How important is it to select something similar here? I have just been using the Citation V the past few times.Cheers,Jeremy

I just got fs9 and am having some trouble with windows 2000. I can not get sbhost to stay on top so I can see with fs window still open. is this not possible?any help would be greatly appreciated. Sean

Hello, I'm a new vatsim user and I have a vouple quesitons to which I didn;t find answers anywhere else. One of them (#1) is a bit complicated to explain but I'll try my best: 1. I noticed since my first online flight that on the chat window of FS2002 there are two callsigns associated to me. One appears to come from the callsign I enter on the squawkbox's connect window, and the other appears to come from the "player name" entry field in the window that pops up when I first open the sb main program and connect to the FS2K2 session I am hosting. Whenever I type something for the ATC in the chat eindow and hit enter, the msg appears twice, as if the two identical callsigns…

Hi All,Can you see other aircraft when connected using FS9. I have not yet been able too see anyone else in about 4 sessions. I have been at ramps where i know there are others but yet cant see them. I placed the CS library into the "aircraft" folder of fs.(although i dont think that is the problem because i should atleast see the other plane as an image of my own). Ive hosted whithin fs allowing for 16 other players and i have the multiplayer range set to 20. Can anyone help?Thanks,Tom

Hello all, I am trying to join VATSIM and when registering, it says that my email provider does not verify my identity and I must use my ISP Email. I use MSN as my ISP and have been trying to register with VATSIM using my MSN email address and receive the error. What do I do now??

Every time I try to log in to VATSIM via Squawkbox, it always gives me that same error message. I have had my same password the whole time I have been a member here. Even though it gave everyone new passwords, mine stays the same in password reminder. My callsign is usually UAL0987, or something close to that. HiI've tried to switch from RW to AVC, but I'm back with RW because controllers can't hear me properly with AVC. Controllers always report that I'm very broken or 2 by 5, at best. At worst it's "last caller you were completely unreadable".I've tried everything I can think of. I've gone through the set-up procedure, playing with the windows mike volume until it tells me my mike has passed. I've tried changing between wave and direct sound. I've tried turning my input volume up/down after AVC has configured and set the squelch, and I've tried talking to controllers on different servers. VATSIM,Can anyone give me the quick and dirty on how to get set up in order to use VATSIM with FS9? I keep hearing about SB, RW, AV, ServInfo. What programs do I really need? I'm interested in trying VATSIM using real voice ONLY. There's no way I'd be able to fly my sim and type out sentences.As a background, I did check out the on-line tutorial some time ago.
