Now that we know that there will not be a version 5 I wondered if some small improvements could be made to v4.3 which I would have thought would not amount to a huge workload. Improvements such as:- 1. Giving us more time to instigate a level change after acking it. 2. Not requesting us to turn back to a missed waypoint. 3. To cease the constant repetition of reducing speed to 250 kts when we are in the process of slowing down. 4. Changing "taxi into position and hold" to "line up and wait". 5. Not telling us about traffic that is more than 1000 ft above or below us. These changes would take RC from being "excellent" to being "perfect". If, in …

Hello, I have done a fresh install of W7/FS9/RC4.3. I have a problem with sound. RC loads as normal and everything looks OK. When I select the Voices TAB and try any of the voices I hear nothing. I use the on-board sound card which seems to play music i.e. installed sample files. When I run FS9 my default flight is Cessna I can start up the engine and hear the engine running. When I select a ATC option i.e Taxi to Runway, I also hear no speech. I have checked what settings I can in the RealTek HD Audio Manager without success. I notice when I open up the loudspeaker icon on the Task Bar in Mixer that FS9 appears there but not RC. This is the first time of using W7…

I have RC4 on disk.Want to install on new computer with Win7.It asks if I want to install full version FS2004,FSUIPC etc.I have latest version FSUIPC etc.What do I install or do I need updates etc?I have been flying GA planes recently so have not used RC for quite awhile,therefore have not kept up with new versions.Thanks,Ron

I did a search and couldn't find an answer, so forgive me if it's been asked. It appears Navigraph no longer offers updated AIRAC cycles for RC4. Does anyone else offer updated Navdata for RC4? Thanks.

Could anyone send me this file? or copy and paste it entirely into this post? I was trying to fix the UT2 issue with Eagle Flight callsign and I'm afraid I've screwed it up royally. I really don't want to have to reinstall at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Greetings, I am new to the FSUIPC/WideFS/WideClient/RC4 world. I recently brought and downloaded these things on a network configuration. FSUIPC/WideFS is on my fs host computer and Wideclient/RC4 are on the client pc. WideFS is connecting with Cleint and I see the connection in FSX and the Widecleint.exe. However, When I open RC4 and load a flight plan and start RC4 I am not seeing anything in fsx. What am I missing? Is there something I need to add in the .ini file or is this to do with FSUIPC?

Ok so first off I had the 713 error got some help with that and that is fixed. The issue I am having now is I can't hear RC in the sim. The only time I think I hear a RC voice is for the ATIS nothing else. Is there some setting or something I need to change to hear the RC voices in the sim?? Also do I use the default ATC menu to communicate with RC4 or is there a separate window that I need to open for communication? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good day simmers. I just installed RC4, and got the email with the keycode. I have put in my first and last name, but when & after I insert the Key, the registration window hangs for a few seconds and the vanishes (the program shuts itself down). And I allways run as admin. Like many others, I'm very happy with RC4 and have been an RC user since the beginning. So, with this posting, I'm not asking for a fix to RC4, only seeking information that maybe could be derived from a civil and meaningful dialog. Hi, I can't understand why in RC there is no option to ask for weather deviation during the descent and approach phase, that is when it is most needed, because in that phase the airplane goes through the clouds. Yesterday there was a thunderstorm along the approach route and I had to fly to the middle of it, since I could not ask for a deviation.

Hi Folks, Been a long time user of RC4 with FS9... All of a sudden I have an issue when trying to run the following flight... I start FS9 - load my flight plan and start my session at Chelan - I then minimize FS9 then launch RC4 with the following flight plan loaded... I've used this same procedure for years... Now - when I maximize FS9 - my position has shifted to the middle of the ocean and in a different time zone - I'm guessing on the other side of the planet... I've never seen RC4 physically move a plane before... Other flight plans seem to work... Any ideas ??? I am using the old Georender Chelan - and I did rebuild my DB in RC4... Any ideas ??? …

I am thinking about getting Prepare3d, Professional License. I have installed on my PC, FSX, Radar Contact v. 4.3, FSX Booster 2013, and Sim Physics X. I need to know if anyone out there knows if Prepare3d is compatible with RC v.4.3

I just spent the last few days at my Computer Guru's Store and we worked on my FSX program/my win8 system/my AMD ATI card and I got my sim running better tha it ever has--actually spectacular results with the help of Froogle and FSX Genius---but when I Started up RC 4 I got this message 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid What to do? Hi all. So I am nearing the end of a long flight from LAS to EWR at FL370. The controller instructs me to contact Cleveland Center on 132.4. I acknowledge the controller and as soon as the radio changes the sim goes to a black screen and the encounterd a problem box appears. The culprit: atc.dll. It has happened on 3 seperate occasions now, only with this sector. Anyone know what is happening? It occurs with different aircraft. Thnks

I've noticed, on rare occasion that if the ATC is talking to me, or I am responding to the ATC, and I happen to be crossing a waypoint at the time. After I finish I will be contacted by the ATC telling me I am off the airway, even though I am not.

Hi I am having a problem saving a flight using Radar Contactwhen using PMDG 777-200 and 737NGX. All other aircraft produce 4 files, 1 of which is a .RCD file. Using Ctrl -Shift-; 3 files are saved in My Documents/Flight Simulator X files which are: 300-56195-VRMM-OMDB-1$1.FLT 300-56195-VRMM-OMDB-1$1.FSSAVE 300-56195-VRMM-OMDB-1$1.WX From reading and searching Google and Avsim fora all 3 files should be as named and another file saved as .RCD file. Would be appreciative of any assistance/advice to overcome the problem I am experiencing. Regards noels7

Hi Just recently, last few days, RC has started to think I am at the wrong altitude on descent. If the instruction is to descend to 11000, I do so and sit there. RC tells me my assigned altitude is 11,000 and to stick to it. Just leaves me there giving me constant warnings. I have checked the baro is correct, using ASE and also hitting the B button. I have tried this in several aircraft with the same effect. Different flights, mostly to London or Dublin at present. Any ideas? Graeme

I run RC4 on a client computer using Wideclient and have not had any problems up until now. I was attempting to run RC4 today when I got the following message: "Maybe running on WideClient but FS not running on server or wrong FSUIPC" Anyone else seen this before? First time for me. BTW I should mention that I downloaded and installaed FSDT GSX as well. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I have FSX running on PC1 with a full version of FSUIPC and WideFS. I have PC2 running RC4 via WideFS. I have PC3 running ActiveSky 2012 via Simmconnect. I am using DWC and I always get the wrong destination wind direction and velocity. Is there some kind of configuration I need to do between all these products?

Hi. I recently bought Radar contact, and I just can't get it to work. When I first tried it I had the error message looking for file msstdfmt.dll. I read solution and fixed it using the command prompt. Next I had the error 75 thing which I fixed running as administrator. Now I have a flight plan set up, fsx set up, start radar contact and click fly now. The Fsuipc window appears in the cockpit view with the next waypoint and the two options to tune weather and tune to ground clearance, and when I press the keys ctrl shift and 1,2 or 3 nothing happens. I have set the keyboard controls to this within radar contact. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Specs Win…

For some time there have been posts in this forum about problems restarting a flight by reloading a previously saved .rcd file. Specifically: RC4 not being able to correctly save panel states of advanced a/c like PMDG's 747X, 737NGX, 777. When I contacted JD about it the reply was: RC4 cannot do it. That is obviously true. But when you save a .rcd file FSX simultaneously saves a situation with the correct panel state. So it is just a matter of combining the two: Loading the "good" panel state saved by FSX after the "bad" panel state saved by RC4. Hi, I've got a problem activating Radar Contact. I've reinstalled FSX with all my addons, but after install RC it doesn't accept my old key. So I send a mail with a request for a new key, but I've got this answer; 'I am unable to find your email address in my records, and cannot process your key request Please request your key with an email from the same email address you used when you purchased Radar Contact If you have a new email address, please send your updates to: [email protected]' I don't get it, because I always used the same email adress.
