Last night I was flying an IFR flight from KATL to KTLL (Tallahassee). Was in low clouds, and was vectored for visual approach to runway 9 (which wasn't ILS equipped.) ATC says to descend to 2300 and "report runway in site". At 2300, I was still in the clouds. Anyway, this was an IFR flight, yet I was vectored for a VFR landing when runway 21 and another were equipped for ILS. Basically, I couldn't see the runway that I was directed to until I was on top of it, which was too late to make a safe landing. Will RC3 handle this more appropriately? And, BTW, how would this be handled in real world? Would you be directed to another runway for an IFR landing even if that…

The Kentucky Derby always brings in some interesting aircraft. While pretty sleepy the rest of the year, April is different. Last week I dropped my mate off for a business flight to Cleveland. There at the cargo terminal adjacent to the passenger terminal sat a gorgeous Lockheed L-1011 in Saudi Arabian colors. No need to tell you what it was doing here. When I went back to pick her up Friday there was an additional gem parked on the tarmac - an United Arab Emirates 747SP. I've never seen one of those and never expected to as they aren't used much, especially in the US. Ah, Derby beauties! Most people here like April for the horses. Cheers, Jim

John: I'm using EHAM, my favorite airport, frequently. The background chatter however is getting a little bit boring cause it's rather predictable after some flights. Question: is it possible to import non-RC chatter wav's or will this corrupt the program ... ?rgds., Willem

One thing that would be nice to have in ver.3 is the possibility to land in an alternate airport. This option should be selected when building the adventure and not mandatory (it could take too long to define all radio freqs for another airport....)When weather conditions are prohibitive or just on a random base, ATC could decide to direct the plane to the alternate, or this could be a pilot's choice. Also would be appreciated the possibility to land to any other airport on the route, even not a planned one, for emergency reasons and with ATC not complaining for that...An example is a bad fuel management when you run out of fuel many miles before your destination or alterna…

Hi JDJust been looking at the Airnavsystems site, and saw that their Suite 4 package includes ATC boundaries. I seem to remember that some time ago you were needing that sort of info for RCv3, but maybe you're all sorted now. If not, then it may be what you want. Just a thought. 7. Hi there,I tried to generate an adventure from Vienna (LOWW) to Innsbruck (LOWI) with the Austria Professional scenery add-on. I used FSBuild to generate the flightplan. When I start the adventure at LOWW RC says "place aircraft at departure airport and restart adventure"? I tried to regenerate both flightplan and adventure with no success. Can anyone help me with this one? Thanks in advance,Petehttp://home.neo.rr.com/zaehringer/pipersignature.jpgPIII600,512MB,Win98SE,DirectX8a,Geforce32DDR(Det.22.80),SBlive(4.06.703)

I just purchased Radar Contact from Flightsimmers.net and installed everthing but one chatter file, South Africa....I attempted the download at least four times but everytime I try to install, I get the message that 'the file is corrupted and may need to be downloaded again.'..I've tried this on a T1 and DSL lines but still was unsuccessful..Also each time I downloaded the 56MB file, it takes about an hour..Does anyone know where I can get this file? It seems highly neccessary that I have it before I can use Radar Contact..ThanksTroy
